Out Of Order
Everything in Yuhi Kurenai's life kept happening out-of-order.
There was an established order to life, she had learned this as a child. First you grew up and became a Ninja. Then you fell in love, got married and had a child, before growing old together and dying in your sleep.
She managed to get the first three right, she grew up, Became a Ninja then fell in love. It was so perfect. Of course by this stage she also knew that things happened, people were killed in combat, she had watched friends die.
But she had never expected her life to take such a drastic turn. She fell pregnant before she married Asuma, but that was just something small ('Their little bump in the road' Asuma had said).
And then he had died. Killed in combat and a part of her had died with him. But she continued on living for the little part of Asuma who lived inside of her and when her son was born she named him Hiruzen, like she knew Asuma would have, even though they had not even been given enough time to discuss even that.
And she was so glad she had. Little Hiruzen was everything she had ever dreamed for. The only part missing was Asuma as the loving father he would have been.
New Character for me. I really love this one, even if it is kind of sad (What is with that? These last two have left me teary eyed while writing. And I've been in such a good mood too). Prompts are always welcome.
Oh and yesterday I was referencing Michael Grants Gone series, which is good for anyone looking for a good YA psychological thriller. But like with Game of Thrones, don't get to attached!
