Mother
Temari did not consider herself a motherly person. She didn't have that innate ability that most mothers had to make everything go perfectly. She could barely look after her brothers for crying out loud!
Of course they (and Shikamaru, and Matsuri and pretty much everyone else) would argue otherwise. Who was it that kept tabs on Gaara's sleep and eating habits? That made sure Kankuro kept his apartment clean? that ordered Shikamaru off his lazy ass every time she was in Konoha?
And she would argue back. Argue that the first time she took her eyes off of her brothers one got kidnaped and killed, the other mortally wounded, and that all she had been able to do in that incident was watch as others saved them.
Most people rolled their eyes at that argument at hers but Shikamaru would see the hurt in her dyes and tell her the truth, "Woman, not including actual mothers, you are one of the two most motherly people I know. And you want to know what makes you motherly? You care. You put up this big abrasive act, but you care. About everyone. you stuck around when I was waiting to hear the news about Choji, you waited outside Kankuro's hospital room when Sakura healed him and if your Council hadn't sent you on some bulshit mission, you would have been right beside Naruto and Sakura beating the shit out of Sasori and Deidara. Don't tell me you're not motherly, you're one of the most motherly person I know. Go send your daily message to Gaara reminding him to eat."
She hit him for that last comment. It was more like once a week that she sent such a message.
