Fireworks
"Oooo, lets try this one!" Karin grabbed Suigetsu's wrist and dragged him over to the carnival game.
"Hmph, yeah, whatever." Suigetsu didn't know what he had been thinking when he had agreed to come with Karin to the New Years celebrations. "Can we go get a drink after this one?"
"Yeah, sorry to drag you around like this. I never got to do this much as a kid." Karin inspected the game rules. "Ok, cough up. I paid for the last one."
"I know that feeling." Suigetsu fished for his wallet. "At least you kind of got a chance at a normal life. I've always been an experiment."
Karin looked at him as he payed the stall runner. "What do you mean always? You turning into water wasn't some modification by Orochimaru?"
"Orochimaru collected me because of the modifications done to me already." Suigetsu threw the first ball of the game. "He wanted to perfect my modifications."
"Jeeze why was the guy so obsessed with perfection." Karin threw her ball. It missed. "He never understood that there was no way to 'perfect' my ability."
"Yeah, what causes that anyway?"
"They have a few old scrolls from Uzushiogakure here. Best I can understand some members of the clan exhibited strange chakra abilities, other than sealing and making great Jinchuuriki's."
"So it's a kekkei genkai?"
Karin shook her head. "Kekkei genkai are all the same. None of the Uzumaki who exhibited these abilities had the same ones. Damn it!" Their game had ended and Suigetsu had won.
"Hey don't blame me 'cause you suck." Suigetsu smirked. "C'mon the fireworks will be soon. I'm sure you'll enjoy those."
"What happened to getting a drink?"
"We've got all night to get drunk after the fireworks."
