Silence
Sakura sighed as for the first time in months she was fully able to relax. Sasuke had taken their kids of a 'Day With Daddy' following his latest mission (He had come close to death on it than he cared to admit) and she was left with silence and the words, "Relax, Kami knows how long it's been since you put your feet up. We'll see you tonight." Ringing in her ears.
And the silence was deafening. She had grown so used to the ruckus caused by three children and their cries of "I'm bored/hungry/tired." And "MUUUUUUM HE/SHE HIT MEEEEEEE!" That the absence of it worried her (Of course the kids were ok, Sasuke was taking them to the visiting carnival.) She needed the noise. She craved the chaos that her children and husband generated.
Hours later when she was curled up on the couch, tea and book in hand with the music blaring she smiled. Her kids would be home soon exhausted and hyped up on candy and her chaos would resume.
And she wouldn't trade it for the world.
When's the next chapter coming out damnit! This self imposed break from Naruto is hard! And I want to know if well, you know.
