I know... this chapter is rather short again. My apologies for that. There a too many things I need to do and not enough time to do it. So I'm not able to write long chapters and post them frequently at the moment. I try and do the best I can.

Chapter 27
"I love you, Alexandra Benson-Cabot, don't you forget that. And I will come back to you" Olivia whispers before she loses consciousness.
"I love you too, Olivia Benson. And I know you will come back" Alex whispers.
Alex climbs on Olivia's bed and snuggles up against the now unconsciousness brunette. She lays down her head on Olivia's shoulder. Putting her arm around the Detective's waist protectively.
Nurses are coming inside to hook Olivia up on multiple machines. They work around the blonde laying against their patient. By now all of them know the blonde ADA and her Detective, they all know what happened with the scans and they certainly all see how much they love each other. So they made a silent agreement to work around Alex and let her stay in the bed with her Detective, even though it is against hospital policy.
Alex silently cries. Hating that Olivia was in so much pain. Hating what has been done to her with her and to herself. Scared and afraid that there is a chance that things are worse then they know right now. That she might lose the woman she loves so much. That Olivia might be pregnant. And not knowing what the complications for her treatments can be. And even worse that no matter if she is pregnant or not, that she has been raped. And that it's possible that history will repeat. The newly wet couple has so many thrown at them. So much that is uncertain and to fear for. Everyone is hoping and praying that Olivia will stay in the coma for now. That she doesn't wake up again. Not until the Professor says it's alright. Or the Doctors and/or Professors in Houston.
When the nurses are ready the leave the room to give the persons inside it some privacy. Casey takes one look at Alex and sees that her friend is in no condition to tell everyone what's wrong or what happened. She motions Professor Cavanaugh to follow her outside the room where Abby and Liz are waiting. She whispers in Alex ear that she will be right back, that she is just standing outside the room. Then the redhead and the Professor walk out of the room and Casey closes the door behind her. Abby and Liz, who were sitting in some chairs right outside Olivia's room, are standing up when the two women left the room.
"Casey, what's wrong with Olivia? What happened?" Liz asks.
"What I'm about to tell you about what happened stays between the four of us. They guys will not know about it. They will be told what's wrong with Liv, but not what happened to her. She don't want them to know so we won't say a word to them. If Olivia can't make the decision Alex will regarding to Don. Do I make myself clear?" Casey asks sternly.
"Yes." Liz says.
"Of course." Abby answers.
"Casey, do you want me to leave?" Cavanaugh asks.
"No, Angie. I'm afraid this is something that you need to know regarding to Olivia's treatments and surgery or surgeries." Casey answers.
"Alright, then I will stay." Cavanaugh answers.
"Now the guys are not here now, but as soon as one of them or they all are showing up the coming part of our conversation is over until we are alone again. As I said I will tell them what is wrong but that is it. And nobody enters the room until Alex or I say it's alright. Understood?" Casey asks.
The three women all nod.
"Alright there is no easy way to say this, what happened, so I'm gonna say it as it is. During one of the surgeries Olivia is sexual assaulted by Doctor Brown, raped to be exact. And it's possible that isn't the worst part. The worst part is that she might be pregnant. Doctor Brown has performed a procedure on Liv and with embryo's from Atkins and herself. She said that in a few days Alex and Liv will know if she is pregnant or not. Which means that she didn't do it yesterday so an after morning pill is to late. Liv doesn't want the guys to know this. And I can understand why." Casey explains.
All three woman gasps in horror. They can't believe what they just heard. To say that they are shocked and stunned is an understatement.
"Oh my God, Novak tell me that this ain't true. That this some kind of a really really damn sick joke." Abby gasps.
"No it isn't. This hell, this horror is real. We don't have a reason to believe that Dr. Brown lied. So here is the complete picture. Someone, probably Dr. Brown or Atkins, broke into Alex's office and left a message for Liv there, someone broke into Liv's apartment and planted a bomb which nearly killed Liv, Atkins shot Liv twice and Dr. Brown has switched scans, told them about the wrong scan and raped Liv. And on top of all of this Liv and in a certain way Alex need to fight against cancer. Today has been a hell. Their world has crashed down 3 times today. So they are gonna need all the help they can get." Casey answers.
"I can understand more and more why they want to leave this hospital yesterday. How sick are you to do this kind of things? Why would someone these things? I don't get it. I know that what you told me is true and did happen, I just can't understand why someone can do this kind of horrific things to an other human being." Cavanaugh says.
"If it would be possible I would put the needle in that woman's arm myself. How is it possible to commit such an heinous crime in a hospital, for heaven's sake, and nobody noticed it. How on earth is it possible she could rape Olivia in a OR? There must be someone who has seen it. You can't make me believe that there is not one single person who didn't saw it. This is a never ending nightmare for Olivia and Alexandra. There must be something, some kind of evidence that we can use against her." Liz says.
" Besides the scans and the radiologist and Professor Cavanaugh we have nothing so far accept for Browns confession. She claimed that she wouldn't let her attorney plead for insanity. That she was fully aware of her actions. If Liv is not pregnant, which I hope she isn't with all my heart, we have no proof that she did it. Except for the scans there is no concrete evidence. Everything from the procedure is all long gone by now. Probably dumped with the rest from the surgery. I don't see how we can proof the rape. If Liv is pregnant we have to wait for what decision she and Alex will make. And then we only can proof that it isn't hers. I don't think Brown is so stupid that she didn't got the evidence disappear." Casey answers.
"We have an other problem too. How do we keep that bitch from spilling out what happened to the guys? If she was so eager to confess to the three of ya who says she ain't gonna tell it every chance she gets? And how are we gonna search for evidence that might be there without them knowing? Don can't do it all be himself without them knowing." Abby asks.
Just when the brunette is finished Munch and Rollins are walking towards them and the anger is radiating from them and clearly on their faces.
"IS IT TRUE? DID YOU KNOW, NOVAK?!" Amanda yells.
"I guess we don't have to think about anymore." Casey mutters under breath.
Abby and Liz nod at Casey in agreement. Munch and Amanda have reached the women by now.
"Rollins, keep your voice down please. Alex doesn't need more to worry over. She doesn't need to hear this." Casey says calmly.
"What do you mean, she doesn't need to hear this? What the hell is going here? Doesn't she know? Doesn't Olivia know? Is it true what that crazy bitch says?" Amanda rambles.
"Damn it. Alright, Munch get Cragen and Fin here. If I gonna tell this I will do it only once. In the mean time nobody is going to yell, scream or raise their voices. Alex has enough on her mind. I don't want her to come out here and find out that everyone knows. I don't care who it is, but every single one of you that does is going get their ass kicked by me and can leave. Do I make myself clear?" Casey asks sternly.
A little bit shocked about the loud and clear message from the redhead the rest simply nods.
"Good. Now Munch, get Cragen and Fin here, please." Casey says.
Munch pulls out his cellphone and calls Cragen.
"Cragen."
"Captain, Munch here. Casey asks for you and Fin to come to Olivia's room now. Well in front of it but that doesn't matter. Can you come here with Fin?" Munch asks.
"Sure, will be there in a minute or two. Why does she wants us there, John?" Cragen asks.
"Don't know. The only thing she said was that she will tell this only once. And that everyone that yells, screams or raises their voices is getting their ass kicked by her and can leave. And she looks like she is gonna do it when we do." Munch answers.
"This can't be good. Alright we are on our way." Cragen says and ends the call.
"Cap and Fin will be here in a minute or two. Hey, Carmichael. Good to see you. What are you doing here?" Munch asks.
Before Abby can answer Casey speaks up.
"We will come to that later Munch. When everyone is here. Abby Carmichael this is Detective Rollins, Rollins meet Abby Carmichael." Casey introduces the Detective and ADA to each other.
"Nice to meet ya." Abby says.
"Nice to meet ya too. You're not from here are ya?" Amanda says with a southern drawl.
"Nope, Texas. How about ya? Ya ain't from here either. Sounds like you southern too gal." Abby says.
"Yup, Atlanta." Amanda answers.
"I'm sorry to interrupt but I need to go. I have some things to arrange. If you need me, call. I have my peeper with me at all time." Cavanaugh says.
"Yes, of course. If needed I will call you." Casey answers.
Cavanaugh nods and walks away. At the same time Cragen and Fin are walking towards the whole group.
"Hey Carmichael. Alright Counselor, for what do we needed to come here? " Cragen asks.
"Hey Don." Abby says.
Casey holds up her hand for a moment to get everyone's attention.
"First, what I'm about to tell you all, none of you can let Alex and Olivia know that you know it. So I don't care how you manage it just make sure that you do it. Now I know that they are better then a lie detector so if you don't think you can do it say it now." Casey says looking at they squad and Cragen face for face.
The three Detectives and Captain all nodded. Casey takes a deep breath before she starts telling.
"Alright, what do you know until now?" Casey asks looking at Amanda.
"Alex's office, Olivia's apartment, the safe house and everything that happened on these places. And we know that Dr. Brown switched scans. We know what the wrong scan showed but that's all we know so far. Except for the surgeries of course." Amanda answers.
"Thank you, Detective Rollins. Alright I update you all about her medical condition first. After that I tell what happened. The first part Liv agreed on telling you. The second part she didn't. She don't want you guys to know. But since Amanda came here yelling at me I have the feeling that may be to late. Just to be clear I repeat it once more and for the last time. Nobody and I mean that literally, nobody will yell, scream or raise their voices. The person that does do it, I personally kick your ass and you can leave immediately. Alex has enough to worry about and she doesn't need more. Understood?" Casey says sternly, briefly looking at everyone's face. Cragen looks at his Detectives before he answers.
"Yes, Casey we do." Cragen answers.
"I agree with you, Novak. In fact I will help ya kicking their asses if they do. And ya have my word for my own part." Abby answers.
Casey looks at Liz who nods.
"Alright. Thank you all for understanding this. I just want to protect them the best I can. I know you want to do the same but things has changed today and not in a good way. Alex and Olivia went through hell and back three times today. With only one happy event on the other side. I would appreciate it if you all would let me finish speaking before starting to ask questions.
The scans of Liv's head are confirmed and she has cancer. A stage 2 tumor in her brains. She needs a surgery and possibly other treatments. About ten minutes ago Professor Cavanaugh has putted Olivia in an other drug induced coma. She had excruciating pain attacks in her head. The last attack wasn't treatable with morphine so there was no other option then to put Liv in a drug induced coma. We can only hope that she will stay in it as long as needed considering that she managed to come out of one earlier. She will be transferred to a specialized clinic in Houston tomorrow morning if Houston agrees with the transportation. Although Alex and Olivia have a voice in that decision. Professor Cavanaugh and the oncologist both think that the tumor is treatable but we need to wait for Houston to know if it's treatable or possible to cure and what Liv's chances are. Alex and I will join her to Houston. Alex is her first MPA and since today I am her second MPA.
Of course Alex will go with Liv as her partner. Well as her wife actually. Liv and Alex did get married this evening. Alex and Liv would have told you this and that she has cancer later this evening when you all were coming back but since Liv got an other pain attack they asked me to tell you all of this. Ms. Carmichael was one of the two witnesses, I was the other one. Liz married them. But that is not the only reason that Ms. Carmichael is here.
Now that Alex and I both are gone for an unknown amount of time SVU needed a new ADA until we are back and we both are able to pick up our job. Ms. Carmichael here will be your ADA again starting immediately. And I said again since she has been your ADA before. So I think you will be in capable hands until we are back. And not left behind with a rookie who doesn't know how hard cases of SVU can be or how much it is needed to fight for justice for the victims. Ms. Carmichael knows exactly what it means to be an ADA for SVU. I'm sorry guys, I don't have more or other good news to tell." Casey finishes.
It was silent for a few moment. Everyone needed time to let sink in the news the just heard. Abby recovered the soonest.
"How is it possible that they didn't found it out sooner? Liv had two surgeries prior to the latest scans." Abby asks.
"I think that Dr. Brown knew but deliberately chose not to tell. She switched the scans thinking that no one would ever found it out. Obviously she didn't count on one Alexandra Benson. Or Benson-Cabot actually. Anyway, when Brown told us the outcome of the first and wrong scan Alex demanded to get the best medicals available and the best treatments possible. That's how Professor Cavanaugh came into the picture. She found out that that scan was not Liv's and what was really wrong with Liv. Liv of course demanded a new scan and the Professor added an other scan to it. How ever when she contacted radiology and requested for a new scan the radiologist that made the first scan was still here. She told the Professor that she was sure that she had added the right scan to Liv's file. After the scans were taken she offered to look at the file and find out how it was possible the scans had been switched. That's when they found out that Dr. Brown had switched them. Liv called Don and CSU immediately. That's why you all came here. When Liv and Alex were back in the room she called Liz. Liz knew that Alex wouldn't be available for some time before we knew that Liv has cancer, so she called Ms. Carmichael.
Liv and I talked about some things concerning Alex and Liv's medical condition and Liv told me that she wanted to propose Alex. For reasons that I will keep to myself. Liv called Liz back and Liz would come here with Ms. Carmichael. For the ceremony and to press charges against Dr. Brown and this hospital." Casey explains.
"This isn't fair. Liv has been through so much in her life already. Alex the same. And now that they are finally together, this is thrown at them. They deserve to be happy and live happy together. Not to have to fight and live in anxiety again." Fin says.
"They don't know what Olivia's chances are right now?" Cragen asks.
"No. They don't know. After the surgery they will know more. But right know the only thing is that the oncologist and Professor Cavanaugh think that it is treatable. Liv and Alex need to wait till after the surgery to know more. As do we. I will call Don as soon as I have the time and know more. All contact will be going through the both of us. Nobody will call Liv if she is awake or Alex. I will call Don to update him and he will tell you all what you need to know. That's how Liv wants it to be. Even though she is very sick she still protects Alex. Although I don't think that is new to any of you." Casey answers.
"Tell us something we don't know, Counselor. We all know how protective they both are about each other. We all also know how far Liv will go with that protection. There is nothing that she won't do for Alex. And I think it is safe to think that Alex will do the same for Liv." Fin says, smiling a little bit.
Everyone laughs softly after Fin's word except for Amanda, she looks and raises one eyebrow questionably.
"You know they can fight like cats and dogs, Rollins. Their fights are legendary at the precinct and the DA's office. But even though they fight, they both bite everyone's head off if someone dares to say something about one of them in the presents of the other. And that is the soft treatment. You don't want to know what they or specifically Liv will do when she is pissed off." Casey explains.
"That is legendary too. But enough chit chat. You said something about what happened. What happened? What can be so bad that Liv doesn't want us to know it?" Cragen asks.
Just as Casey wants to answer Cragen's questions and tell them that, the door behind her opens and Alex is standing on the threshold looking at Casey. Casey heard the door opening and turns around.
"Casey can you come inside please? I already called for Cavanaugh." Alex whispers.
A/N 2 Oh oh... an other cliff hanger. Don't blame me, blame my muse. She is responsible for this. Oh and the time of course. There are not enough hours in one day...
What is wrong with Liv? How will the rest react on what happened to Liv?...
I'm afraid we have to wait for the next chapter to find that out...
