A/N Thank you all for your sweet replies to my second note . They mean a lot to me.

Here is the chapter you all have been waiting for so long.

Chapter 28

Just as Casey wants to answer Cragen's questions and tell them that, the door behind her opens and Alex is standing on the threshold looking at Casey. Casey heard the door opening and turns around.

"Casey can you come inside please? I already called for Cavanaugh." Alex whispers.

Casey nods at Alex and turns back to look at Liz Donnelly as the blonde ADA walks back inside and closes the door behind her.

"I have a feeling that I will be inside for a while. Can you take it over and tell everyone what I needed to tell and let everyone do their job? Ms. Carmichael I leave the kicking ass part to you." Casey says.

"Sure Casey, don't worry. I will handle it." Liz answers.

"I will take care of it. And I think you should call me Abby. Ms. Carmichael seems inappropriate to me." Abby answers.

"Alright, Abby it is. Call me Casey then. Now if you all will excuse me, I need to go inside." Casey says.

"Go Novak, and take care of our girls for all of us, will you?" Cragen asks.

"I'll do the best I can." Casey answers.

The youngest ADA turns around and opens the door behind her and slips inside and closes the door behind her. She walks to Alex who is sitting next to bed holding Olivia's hand in her own.

"What's wrong Alex?" Casey asks carefully.

"Casey, I don't think that Liv is in a coma, again. Sleeping yes, but that's it. She is reacting to me again. We have to wait for Cavanaugh to get it confirmed, but I'm pretty sure. Why can't they get her into a coma? I know that Cavanaugh did it right." Alex whispers.

"I'm not a Dr or a Professor, Alex. So I can't give you a medical explanation. And you know Liv better then anyone else so I think it is safe to assume that you are right. But I think that deep down inside Liv refuses to let them put her in a coma. She wants to protect you no matter what it cost. And for that she needs to be consciousness. She won't rest, or allow them to put her in a coma in this case, until she knows for sure that you are safe. Sedate her for surgery she will allow that somehow. That's the best I can come up with." Casey whispers back.

"You are probably right. What was Amanda yelling about?" Alex whispers.

"I don't think now is the right time to talk about that. But don't worry about it. I handled it. Nobody is going to yell, scream or raise their voices again. I made sure they got my message loud and clear." Casey answers whisperingly.

Alex nods. Things could wait. Right now the only thing that is important is her Detective's health. Both ADA's wait in silence for Professor Cavanaugh. Alex looks at Olivia and decides to climb back on the bed. Needing the physical connection and knowing that the brunette needs it as much as she does. Casey smiles to herself slightly as she sees the blonde climbing back on the bed. Despite everything that is going on she is glad that the blonde ADA and the Detective finally had found each other and were together now.

Outside the hospital room Liz was taking things over.

"Alright, let's go over there and I will fill you in." Liz says pointing to coffee room for the nurses.

Cragen nods and motions the rest to walk to the coffee room. They all walk to the room and Cragen closes the door behind him since he is the last one walking inside. Liz takes a deep breath before she speaks. Knowing that the news she is about to tell will hit the Captain and his squad hard.

"First, the same rules are in order now. Just because I'm telling it instead of Casey doesn't change a thing. Detective Rollins, what did Dr. Brown say to you and Munch?" Liz asks.

"She said that hell probably just started for Olivia and Alex. If she did it right, Olivia is going to suffer for the rest of her life. That she made Olivia's and Alex's lives miserable for the rest of their lives. She said that she assaulted Olivia. And giving Casey's reaction and words she and apparently you and Ms. Carmichael here know more then we do. Is it true? Did she assaulted Olivia? And if she did, what did she do to her?" Amanda asks, starting to get angry.

"Before I answer and tell it, I have a question. Where is Detective Amaro?" Liz asks.

"Detective Amaro is pulled of this case and suspended during the investigation of IAB and facing charges. He lost his temper and attacked Dr. Brown in the holding cell when he came back to the precinct and found out what Dr. Brown told she had done. Well not specifically, that you will tell us, Counselor. The bitch is going to put charges against him. I know I shouldn't say this but it's Liv and Alex we are talking about." Cragen says.

"I will see what I can do for Detective Amaro, Don. He won't hang out to dry. Not if I can help it." Liz answers.

Liz briefly looks at Abby who almost invisibly nods. But Liz sees it and when she looks around quickly she also noticed that the others didn't see it.

"Abby and I found out what happened a few minutes before Munch and Rollins came to us. Yes Casey knows what happened but she kept it silent because Olivia and Alexandra wanted it that way. And she respects their wishes. As do Abby and I. However now that you all heard what Detective Rollins said we can't keep it silent. There is no easy way to say this. Dr. Brown told the truth when she said that Olivia and Alexandra went trough hell, they went trough hell three times today. Dr. Brown has not 'just' been assaulting Olivia. She has confessed to Olivia, Alexandra and Casey that she raped Olivia and performed an procedure to get her pregnant during one of Olivia's surgeries. Probably the first surgery since she said that they only needed to wait a few days to find out if Olivia is pregnant. I'm afraid she didn't make a false confession since everything else that is confessed she did do it. I know Olivia is family but try to keep yourselves calm as long as you are in a hearing distance for Alexandra and Olivia. I'm not trying to offend you all. I'm furious about what she did to Olivia too. But Alexandra and Olivia have enough to worry about. And losing it now won't help them. I truly am sorry. I deeply care for Olivia and Alexandra." Liz finishes explaining what happened.

At the same time Prof. Cavanaugh came to Olivia's room and knocks on the door before she opens it. Just to let them know that someone is coming inside. She closes the door behind her once she is inside and walks to the three women.

"What can I do for you, Alex? Is there a problem that you need my help with?" Cavanaugh asks kindly.

"Angie, I think she's done it again. I know she's done it again. Liv's not in a coma. Not if you ask me. She is responding to me. Look at the monitors and tell me that what you see is normal and that I'm wrong. I think she is sleeping." Alex whispers.

Prof. Cavanaugh looks at all the monitors connected to Olivia and raises her eyebrows. She looks back at Alex. Just when she wants to ask Alex something Olivia moves in the bed. She doesn't wake up but she pulls Alex closer to herself and protectively puts her arm around the blonde attorney's waist. Mumbling something that the Prof. can't hear but looking at Alex she knows that younger woman did hear what her wife mumbled. Alex puts her mouth against Olivia's ear and whispers something back. What ever it is that the blonde said it makes the Detective relax. Prof. Cavanaugh points at the door and motions Alex and Casey to follow her. Alex slowly pulls Olivia's arm from her waist, speaking at the brunette at the same time.

"I'm going to step outside Liv. Don't worry Casey is with me. You just keep sleeping. I will be right back, honey." Alex softly says.

Alex gets off the bed and kisses her Detective softly on her lips before she walks away from the bed and follows Casey and Prof. Cavanaugh. Alex steps outside but doesn't close the door completely. Wanting to be able to hear what's going on in the room . She turns around and looks at Casey and the Professor.

"I think that Detective Benson made it perfectly clear that she is not in a coma. I just don't know how that is possible. I'm sure I gave her the right doses. And the right medication. I can do a lot of examinations but I know the outcome already, we won't find the explanation. Medically I would say that what's happening isn't possible, how ever Detective Benson is proving us the opposite, again. Like I said, I'm sure I did the right thing, I don't know how she does it." Cavanaugh says.

"I know you didn't do something wrong Angie. I was there, we were there. You've got an indication of how stubborn and hard headed Liv can be. I think that you were right, Casey. As long as we are here, as long as we are in New York she won't think I'll be safe. We need to get out of here as soon as possible and this night.

One other thing. I heard what Amanda was yelling. I don't know what she knew but seeing as everyone is not here I assume that Liz or Abby is telling what happened. I don't want anyone except for Liz or Abby enter Liv's room. Awake or asleep doesn't matter. If Liv didn't hear it I want to keep it that way at least until we are in Houston and know more about what we are facing. About the tumor and if she is pregnant or not. I'm sure you scared the hell out of them and warned them to act normal, Casey. But I don't want anyone else around Liv and I until we are back from Houston. We have more then enough to handle without them acting strange around us." Alex says.

"If it is to personal feel free not to answer, but what exactly is Casey right about, regarding to Detective Benson?" Cavanaugh asks.

"It's alright, Angie. Casey said that deep down inside Liv refuses to been put into a coma because she wants to protect me, at all costs. And to able to do that she needs to be conscious. As long as she thinks I'm not safe she refuses to rest or allow anyone to put her in a coma. Until she knows for sure that I'm safe. That is what Casey thinks is the explanation and I agree with her. Both of us know Liv for a long time and I think it's safe to say that everyone at the DA's office and the precinct knows how protective Liv and I are about each other. Liv even more then I am.

Nobody from the office and the precinct with brains and a pulse will take the risk to hurt or harm me. They are afraid of me for my words and glares, but they are afraid of her power, strength and willingness to protect me. If they have a choice I think they will choose me over her anytime. But enough explaining about our protectiveness. Contact Houston and arrange that we can leave here as soon as possible please, Angie." Alex says.

"I will. I'll do what ever it takes to get you all there as soon as possible. And you might want to check the coffee room for the nurses. That where they all went to." Cavanaugh answers.

"If Houston allows Liv to fly with a private jet ask Liz for the number of Ron Jensen. He is a pilot flying for the Cabot foundation. Explain the situation to him and tell him that you call on my behave, everything should be arranged then.

Can you stay with Liv, please? Casey and I need to go the others. I need to speak with them and I don't want them to bite of Casey's head. I want to have it perfectly clear that nobody except for Liz and Abby is allowed to go into my wife's room. I know that Casey made it clear not to yell, scream or raise voices but I want to tell them it myself ." Alex says.

"Yes of course. Go. I will stay with Detective Benson." Cavanaugh answers with a small smile on her lips.

Inside the coffee room everyone except for Abby stares at Liz. Shock, anger and disbelieve visible on their faces. It gets very quiet in the room. Cragen, Munch, Fin and Amanda are trying to keep themselves together and to get their thoughts together about what happened to Olivia and to Alex too. A million questions flowing trough their minds and they don't know where to start asking them. The news hits them all very hard. They need to take a seat somewhere in the room. After a few minutes it seems like they are ready to get some answers. Liz sees it.

"I know you all have a lot of questions and I'll try to answer them the best I can. One at the time, please." Liz says.

Munch, Fin and Amanda look at Cragen. Like they are trying to say he should ask questions first. Cragen nods to them. Just as he wants to start asking questions, Abby speaks. She sees trough the window that Alex and Casey are walking to them. And the look on Alex's face.

"I think asking Liz questions has to wait. Casey is walking to us with Alex next to her and judging by the look on Alex's face, I don't think you should firring questions at her once they are inside." Abby says.

Casey and Alex are reaching the coffee room and Casey turns to Alex.

"Are you ready for this? You know you don't have to speak to them or answer questions, right?" Casey asks.

"I know. I am as ready as I'm going to be. So let's get over with this." Alex answers.

"Alright. Just know that we can leave whenever you want. Liz will deal with them." Casey says.

"I know. Thank you Casey, for being here and doing this." Alex says.

"That's what friends are for, Alex. No let's go inside. The sooner we are in the sooner we are out." Casey answers.

Casey opens the door and they walk inside. Alex closes the door behind her. They walk a few steps inside the room and then stay there. Abby walks toward them and hugs Alex for moment and then let go of her and stands next to the blonde ADA. It is a bit ironic, SVU's three ADA's standing next to each other.

Cragen walks to Alex.

"I wish I could say this under different circumstances. Congratulations Alex. It's about time someone stopped Liv running and claimed her to be theirs. There is no one more perfect for her then you are, Alex." Cragen says.

"Thank you, Don. It means a lot to me, that you say this." Alex answers softly.

Cragen pulls Alex in a hug and whispers in her ear.

"Take care of my little girl, Alex. She is all I have. And you mean the world to her." Cragen whispers.

"I will. She means the world to me too. I love her, very much." Alex whispers back.

They let go of each other and Cragen walks towards Liz Donnelly. And go stand next to her and turns to face her.

"The same goes for you too, Liz. Congratulations." Cragen says.

"It's the same for you Don. Congratulations to you too." Liz answers.

Fin follows his Captain and walks to Alex too. Pulling her in a brief hug before he let her go.

"Congratulations Alex. And the Captain is right, baby girl. You two belong to each other. Normally I would give the big brother speech, but with you I don't need to do that. I know you love Liv and that you would never do something to hurt her. Besides you are already family. And I would give Liv the same speech. That's not necessary neither. We both know that Liv would kill herself first before she would ever hurt you. Wrong words right now, sorry. We all are here for you two when you need us." Fin says softly.

"Thank you Fin. And it's alright. You are right, she would kill herself first before ever hurting me. As will I. No need to be sorry. Now go join Don and Liz, there are a few things I need to say to you all. The sooner I can do that, the sooner I can go back to Liv's side." Alex answers.

Fin walks to Cragen and Liz. He congratulates Liz with a few words before standing next to his Captain. Munch walks to Alex as soon as Fin walked away.

"Teflon, congratulations. Fin and the Captain already said everything for me so I don't need to repeat it. Just say it when the two of you need us. We all will have your backs." Munch says.

"Thank you John. Keep the rest calm and in line will you? You are the one that can hold it together the best. It doesn't hits you less, don't get me wrong about that." Alex says softly.

"Don't worry about that, Alex. I know what you mean. I will do the best I can to keep them in line." Munch says.

Munch walks over to the rest and congratulate Liz. Amanda walks to Alex.

"Congratulations Alex. I think it must be a little weird right now but I and the rest do mean it. Olivia did ask you properly to marry her I hope. And you need to tell me your last names. If there is anything you or Olivia need just ask me, alright?" Amanda asks.

"Thank you, Amanda. It is nice actually. Congratulate me I mean. I know everyone is avoiding our situation now, but there are some things I need to say to all of you. Liv did asks me properly. I will say what our last names are to you all." Alex says.

"I'll go to the rest then. I think you want to be at Olivia's side as soon as possible." Amanda answers.

"Yes, I want to go back to her. Thank you." Alex says.

Amanda walks to the others. Abby looks at Alex for a moment, Alex nods and Abby walks to them too.

"Stand beside me please." Alex whispers.

"Of course. I won't leave your or Liv's side unless you tell me too." Casey whispers back.

Alex nods at Casey and they walk toward the others. Alex takes a breath to calm herself down.

"I will keep it as short as possible, I want to go back to Liv. Amanda asked what our last names are. From now on my name is Alex Benson-Cabot. I wanted Liv's last name and I'm proud to wear it. At my request Liv's last name stays the same. So it is now Detective Benson and Mrs. Benson-Cabot. So far the good part.

I heard Amanda yelling when I was with Liv in the room. That better be the one and only time I heard some one yelling. I don't want to hear anymore screaming, yelling or even raised voices! Did I make myself clear? A nod will be enough." Alex says sternly.

Everyone nods knowing that hell will come to them if Alex hears them again. No one wants Alex going on a war path right now so they don't say a word.

"Thank you. Prof. Cavanaugh tried to put Liv back in a drug induced coma. She did everything correct. Liv how ever is being her stubborn and hard headed self and unconsciously refuses to let that happen wanting to be able to protect me. She is asleep though, for as long as that will be. We will leave and go to Houston this night.

Liv didn't want you all know what has happened to her, to us. And I know that you all know it now. Liz will prosecute our case and I want that each and everyone of you will do their best and find what ever evidence there is left. I don't care if you have to turn this hospital upside down, but make sure that what ever it is you need to do, it won't be able to hear it in our room as long as we are here. And get every damn thing there is legally. Make sure you have every warrant you need. Abby and Liz will take of them or anything else that needed to be done.

You are New York finest and best Detectives and I know you know how to do your jobs. I don't doubt any of you. I just want that bitch to pay for what she did. Atkins can't be prosecuted anymore obviously, but I want justice and Brown rotting in Rikers for the rest of her life. So make sure you nail that bitch to wall. She made us go trough hell three times already. And we sure will go through hell more times.

Last but not least, the only people that are allowed into our room, besides Casey and me, are Liz and Abby. Don't take this the wrong way, you all are family to both of us. But I have to protect Liv. I have to protect my wife. Even with everything you all have seen, we all have seen with our jobs, you can't fully understand what we are going through right now.

Liv will know that you all know it, no matter how hard you try to hide it. You all know that. I can't let that happen now. I can only hope you will understand this and are not offended." Alex finishes.

Alex takes a deep breath but can't hold back her tears any longer.

"I'm sorry." Alex chokes out.

Alex turns around and walks out the room, tears running down her cheeks. Casey gives Liz a short look before she turns around and quickly walks out the room closing the door behind her and runs to Alex. Casey turns Alex around and pulls her into her arms. Alex lays down her head on Casey's shoulder and starts crying softly.

Everyone sees Casey pulling Alex in her arms and their hearts break for the the blonde.

"Let's nail the bitch. We owe it to Liv and Alex. And I'll be damned if I let that bitch hurt them again. Before all of this happened I never have seen her cry. And it breaks my heart." Fin says, pointing at Alex.

A/N 2 I hope everyone enjoyed reading this chapter, after waiting so long for it. If everything goes as it should be, the next chapter will be posted not this Monday but the one that is following next.
