Chapter Forty-Five

Matthew has his hand on the top of my head as he smiles at Aro and Marcus. The two are not very happy with the turn of events. Jane remains frozen in her place and I sit tall at my brother's side with a proud grin on my face.

"You two are much more powerful than I believed," Aro says. I look at Jasper to see he is okay and he is keeping the children close to him. Alice is at his side and she is holding Manny close to her.

"It would seem so, but you did not answer my question as to what caused my darling sister to phase like this. It has been a year or so since she has lost her temper and phased. What have you two done now?" Matthew asks.

"Nothing, you all may go safely. If we need any of you, we will send word," Marcus says. I stand up on my legs and turn to walk over to Jasper and the children. Christian and Christine smile as I get closer and they reach out for me.

"Mama is a puppy," Christine giggles. Jasper smiles as he puts the twins on my back to ride out and they run their small fingers through my hair. Manny hugs my neck and he buries his face into my white fur. Jasper kneels down to kiss my muzzle and he scratches behind my ear. I purr and nudge my head against his happily. We all walk out of the room, but I look back to see Marcus smiling at us sadly. Matthew smiles while he holds Alice close and keeps his arm around her protectively. Once we reach the elevator, I sense something is wrong and I am right when we are attacked by Demitri. I roar and spin around to attack, but Matthew is faster than me and has Demitri on the floor in seconds. Jasper and Alice grab the children and they run into the elevator. Matthew is kicked off and thrown to a wall moments after the doors close, that sets my temper rolling and I run at Demitri. He stands up to stop me to knocking him over, but I am stopped by a sudden pain radiating through my body. My eyes find Jane smiling at me now that she is back to normal. Matthew is being pinned to the floor by Felix and I fall to the floor, trying to phase back to normal. But the pain is too much for me to take control of my body.

"Jane," Aro says. The pain stops and I howl out while phasing back. "You are nothing when you are outnumbered. You may be my niece and a part of the Cullen family, but you do not threaten me in my house. You will pay for this and you will never forget what happens when you threaten me and my family like that."

"Aro, don't do this," Matthew chokes out. I lay on the floor, naked, and panting for air. My skin is slick with sweat and I am curled into a ball.

"Please let me go," I manage. Aro walk over and begins to kick me repeatedly. I scream out, trying to get away from him, but his vampire speed is making it impossible to dodge him. Matthew's voice is heard and he is screaming my name and begging for Aro to stop. It is just like when we were at the orphange all over again. My vision blurrs and everything goes black.

I feel something warm covering me and I hear the sounds of waves splashing on the beach. Slowly, I open my eyes and I look around to be in a strange bed in an unknown house. Quickly sitting up, I see Jasper standing on the balcony at the end of the bed. He is shirtless and I smile as I get out of the bed to walk over to him. Jasper turns when the floor creaks under my feet and his face breaks out into a big smile. His arms open wide for me when I am close to him and I jump into them.

"Good morning," Jasper murmurs before kissing my face happily.

"Good morning? Where are we and where are our lovely angels? Also, how long have been here and how did we get here?" I giggle.

"Matthew and Alice took the kids back to Emmett and Rosalie to let us have our long awaited honeymoon. We are currently on an island I bought for our little family to enjoy. It does not have a name just yet because I wanted you to name it. We have been here a day or so while you were healing. Aro had you dropped off at the hotel after he beat the living light out of you. I was so scared, but Matthew told me to give you a few days to heal and take this opportunity to fly you here before you let your fear set in and make us not have a honeymoon at all," Jasper says, as if he rehearsed it. I smile and kiss his lips softly.

"I love you so much right now," I giggle again. "And thank you for taking care of me and dragging me here. You and Matthew know me so well. Are the children back in Forks?"

"I am not sure because I have not called them yet," Jasper chuckles. He caresses my face softly, sending shivers down my spine. He leans down to kiss my neck sweetly. I purr while leaning my head back and let my eyelids droop a little. "I was so worried as I watched your bruises and other wounds close up these past few days."

"I am sorry for putting through all that," I moan softly. Jasper groans and pulls me flush against his body while he moves my shirt off my shoulder to kiss my bare skin. I moan louder while leaning my head back to give Jasper more of my neck.

"Since we are here alone, we should enjoy the happy moments right now. Such as having you underneath me and calling out my name," Jasper purrs against my neck. I moan and pull Jasper closer to me with handfuls grabbing of his shirt.

"Mine," I moan. Jasper growls as he scoops me up in his arms and he carries me back to our bed. I giggle while wrapping my arms around his neck. We share a soft kiss with big smiles on our faces.
