What Are We?
"What is this?" One of the newly formed tailed beasts looked at the man infront of them. "Why did you split me - us?"
"Because you caused too much trouble when you were one, Kurama."
"Will we ever be one again?" The seven tails placed it's head next to the Sage.
"Yes."
"But what are we now?" The one tail looked at the others. "We're nothing, a fraction of our former self."
"You only say that because you only got one tail."
"Gyūki." The Sage warned the beast. "Stop, your power has nothing to so with the number of tails you have."
"So what are we supposed to do?" The one called Kurama curled up on his paws. "What is our purpose?"
"Your purpose now? I honestly don't know." The Sage sighed. "I don't have long any more. Shukaku, Matatabi, Isobu, Son Gokū, Kokuō, Saiken, Chōmei, Gyūki, Kurama. Even though you have been separated, you shall always be together. Until eventually that time shall come when you will become one… You each carry a name… And with a different shape than you had up to now, you will be shown a righteous path, different from the time you spent inside of me. What is true power… …Until that time…"
