Rescue
"Minato." Kushina muttered under her breath. "Where the bloody hell are you?" She scanned the crowd looking for his yellow hair.
"Lost?" Kushina turned to find Mikoto smiling by her side. "To think that you of all people would feel out-of-place at a social event."
"Shut up. I can feel their eyes on me, judging me, like they don't think I'm a good match for the Hokage." Kushina looked into her friend eyes. "Please tell me I'm imagining it?"
"Sorry." Mikoto placed a hand on Kushina's arm. "I can't do that."
"Can't they just get over the Jinchuuriki thing already."
"I think it's more your impulsiveness."
"Whatever. Have you seen Minato?"
"He was talking to the Something of the Blah Blah country last I saw him."
"I thought it was illegal for Uchiha to have a sense of humour?" Kushina glared at her friend as Mikoto was sucked up by the crowd of people. "Let Minato know I need him if you see him!"
It was half an hour before Minato appeared by her side. "I hear that you need me?" He quirked an eyebrow.
"I still can't get used to that." She leaned into his warmth. "But don't you have guest's to attend to?"
"You're more important." He murmured in her ear. "And I'll tell you a secret, as far as they're concerned, I'm still there. I left a clone in my place."
"You idiot. There is no way they will fall for that."
"Relax." He smirked. "The clone not only copied my devilishly handsome good look's but my amazing intellect as well. What do you say we get out of here?"
"How long did you and Jiraiya spend at the open bar?"
Well that grew out of control. The request was and I quote 'Minato saves Kushina' ;) No-one said anything about what from.
I finally watched the Vampire Academy trailers today and I was sooooooooooo disappointed. They are pretty unfaithful to the books (or maybe I'm a pedantic bitch, not eager to repeat the disappointment of 'Eragon' or 'The Last Airbender'). But then I downloaded the music from the trailers and Gin Wigmore was in there so there is that to look forward to.
