"So I must know, how did you two first meet?" Mei Terumi, Fifth Mizukage of Kirigakure leaned against the table as she stared at Gaara and Naruto.
"Huh?" Naruto looked up from the scrap of paper he had been (badly) doodling on. "Oh that was at our first Chunin exams, ae Gaara?"
"Right." Gaara turned to Mei. "Why?"
"I just find it fascinating that you two seem to get along so well!"
"That wasn't always the case. He was a murderous psychopath."
"And you were an idiot." Gaara reminded Naruto. "Still are an idiot."
"At least I didn't go on a rampage and try to destroy a village." Naruto tried to defend himself.
"You try being sane when you have a malevolent demon sealed inside of you!"
"As opposed to what I had?"
"Yours wasn't controlling you through insomnia!"
Mei Terumi suppressed a laugh as the two younger Kage continued to bicker over who had played host to the worse tailed beast. This Kage summit was going to be fun.
