Chapter 14-The Day Before the Concert
Me: Well, I would say something about this chapter, but I think I'll let it speak for itself. Anyone want to handle the disclaimer?
Twilight: I will. Tid doesn't own the rights to Naruto Shippuden or My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

I went to bed not long after the others left, heading up the wooden stairs to the second floor where my room was. I walked up to the door, turned the knob and opened the door, stepping inside and closing the door behind me. I took my robe off and settled into my bed; the soft caress of the bed soothing my tired body. I was about to fall asleep when I realized something, something I hadn't noticed before: Rarity hadn't been there. She was a pretty good fashion designer, so I supposed she was a busy mare. She probably had something else to do. I shrugged and closed my eyes, falling into a pleasant sleep.
I woke up the next morning as the sun's rays trickled into the room. I sat up and stretched, removing the covers from my body and swinging my legs over the side of the bed. I quickly went to the bathroom and showered, donning my cloak before exiting the steam-filled room. I walked downstairs and ate some breakfast, a piece of toast and a few eggs, before heading out to do my ritual.
I walked through the town and eventually came upon the Everfree forest, entering its dark and uninviting territory. I walked down the path in the forest to the clearing where I did my ritual. I walked to the middle of the clearing and sat down; placing my hands in the same hand sign that I normally did. As usual the ritual was long and boring, nothing very exciting happening (though I suppose the alternative wasn't very pleasant either).
Finally, my boredom was relieved when I heard some rustling in the bushes a few feet from me. I watched the spot and saw Rarity emerge from the bushes, a single leaf caught in her mane.
"Oh, it's you. Hello Rarity." I said. "Hello Tid. I hope I'm not interrupting anything?" She asked as she walked toward me.
"Oh not at all. Go on, sit." I replied motioning with my head to the spot on the ground right next to me. She walked over and sat down gently beside me.
"So, where were you yesterday, if you don't mind me asking?" I asked her, eager to start a conversation.
"I was at a concert yesterday." She replied placing her hoof on her chest.
"A concert? Who performed?" I asked, knowing I wouldn't recognize anyone she said but trying to carry the conversation on.
"A Deejay by the name of Vinyl Scratch. Have you heard of her?" She asked me. I shook my head.
"Well, she produces a kind of music I'm not particularly fond of, from what I can tell lacking any instruments besides a mixing table. The crowd seemed to love her music, though." She replied.
"Ah, I see."
We sat in silence for a while, neither of us knowing what to say to the other. The silence was a little uncomfortable, to be honest. Then an idea came to me. I turned to look at her.
"Say, Rarity, how would you like to go to a concert with me?" I asked. She looked at me and blushed.
"Just the two of us?" She asked. I nodded.
"I'd love to see more of your pony culture. I think this would be a great opportunity to get to know one another a little better." I said smiling. She looked away.
"Alright, I'll go." She said. I had finished my ritual at that moment and I placed my hand on her shoulder, making her jump slightly.
"Thanks! I really appreciate it." I said. She looked at me smiling.
"Oh don't mention it, Tid dear."
We sat there for a while after that, talking to each other about our friends. I talked a lot about Itachi and how amazing he was, and she quietly sat and listened to me' genuinely interested. When I finished she began to talk about her friends and her past experiences with them. She wasn't particularly fond of Applejack sometimes, noting her tendency to get into arguments with the country mare. Her best friend amongst the group was Fluttershy, as they spent a lot of time together. She loved Twilight's mane, thinking it fabulous and unique. She enjoyed watching Rainbow Dash perform amazing aerial stunts, as well as laughing with Pinkie Pie.
When she had finished talking the sun was directly above us in the sky; indicating that it was noon.
"Tid, would you mind accompanying me to Twilight's house? She asked me to stop by sometime today, as she had something important she'd like to talk to me about." Rarity asked.
"Sure, I've got nothing else to do today." I replied shrugging. She smiled.
"Great, then let's go."
Rarity and I walked through the Everfree forest, neither of us saying a word to each other. We eventually emerged from the dark forest into the bright sunshine that bathed the land in its warmth. We strolled through the town and toward Twilight's house. When we arrived there, Rarity knocked on the door and Twilight quickly answered.
"Hello Rarity!" Twilight said with a smile.
"Hello darling. I'm here upon your request." Rarity replied.
"Great, there's something I needed to discuss with you. Er, Tid, would you mind waiting inside?" Twilight asked.
"Not at all, take all the time you need." I replied.
"Thanks." She said. I nodded and walked inside the house, Twilight closing the door behind me.
I walked across the wooden floor to the table where I had been seated not too long ago and sat down in an accompanying chair. I sat there patiently looking about the room and observing all the different books that lined the large shelves. Eventually my curiosity got the best of me and I walked over to one such a shelf and began to read the titles of the books inscribed on their spines. I found many spell tomes in the pony's library, some for beginners, and others for extremely advanced magic users.
I searched these shelves and eventually found a book detailing ancient myths and legends of Equestria, which I quickly plucked from the shelf and began to flip through. In it I read stories of gigantic bears midnight blue in color and dotted with stars capable of destroying entire towns if angered, of plants capable of stealing the magic from all that are unfortunate to enter their grasp, of six stones given to six chosen ponies capable of defeating any evil, and much more. I was in the middle of a particularly interesting story of the ponies with both wings and horns (which I now knew were called Alicorns) when I heard a voice from behind me.
(To be continued...)
