Siren
Being a shinobi who had traversed to various locations, Shikamaru was well versed in the myths and legends of various cultures, including ones from the far sides of the oceans.
One such myth was that of Sirens, the beautiful women who lured sailors to their deaths with their sorrowful lullaby.
Glancing at the woman beside him Shikamaru was reminded of the legends of these beautiful exotic women. She was gorgeous in a way which went beyond the conventional beauty of the women he grew up around. This woman was tough, she had fire in her eyes that reminded him that she was perfectly capable of fighting her own fights and her skin was bronzed by long hours under the desert sun. Her posture and tone was that of a woman used to being in charge, being listened to. She wasn't meek or mild, she would hear you out then tell you exactly why you were wrong.
And he loved it. He enjoyed being dragged along for the ride by her. Sure he would complain, but she would glare at him with those teal eyes of hers and they would be off again, her dragging him with her, except it's not really dragging if he would gladly follow her anywhere.
Temari was his own Siren, calling to his soul.
