Chapter 23- A Story of the Secret Love
Me: I feel this chapter needs to be here.
Tid: So, what do you have planned?
Me: You'll find out.
Itachi: I'll handle the disclaimer then. Tid doesn't own the rights to Naruto Shippuden or My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

The next morning I was exceptionally happy. I sat up and stretched with a big grin on my face, happy that I had finally found out that the pony I loved also loved me. I threw the blankets off of my legs and swung them over the side of the bed and stood up. I donned my cloak and glanced out of the window, the sun shining brightly on the land. It seemed that it was ever so slightly warmer that day; more joyful, more wonderful. I walked out of the room and down the stairs, heading immediately outside to do my ritual. As I stepped outside, I was surprised by Itachi, who seemed to be waiting for me. He was standing next to the door, leaning against the wall and gazing up at the sky. "Hello, Tid." He said. "Uh, hi. What are you doing just standing here?" I asked. "I was waiting for you. I hope you don't mind, but I'm accompanying you to your ritual today. I have something important I'd like to share with you." He said. "Fine." I said shrugging. We started walking toward the Everfree Forest, neither of us saying a word to each other the entire time. As we walked I looked around and I noticed some ponies smiling at us. It was almost as if they saw us a beacon of light in a sea of darkness, or at least, that's what I saw. Eventually we arrived at the clearing where I performed my ritual. I sat cross-legged on the ground and put my hands in the 'boar' hand sign as I usually did. "Alright, what is it that you wanted to share with me?" I asked. "I'll show you." He said placing me under his Genjutsu.
I found myself in the throne room of the castle in Canterlot. I looked around and found Itachi kneeling before Princess Celestia in front of the throne. "You summoned me, Princess Celestia?" He asked with his head still bowed. "Yes I did. Please, call me Celestia." She said smiling. "Alright." He said. "You may stand, there's no need to kneel to me." She said kindly. He nodded and stood, staring at her. "Itachi, I've been watching you for a while." She said. "You have? What for?" He asked in surprise. She chuckled. "Don't worry, you're not in any trouble." She said stepping down from her throne and walking toward him. "Then why have you summoned me?" He asked. "Itachi, while watching you, I was able to see your true colors." She said as she stopped a few feet from him. Itachi said nothing but continued to stare at her. She smiled and walked over to a window that overlooked the city. "I can see you are very kind, treating us like we are equal to you. Your heart is grand and full of love, and your eyes are full of kindness." She said. Itachi remained silent, waiting for her to continue. "Itachi, may I tell you a story?" She asked. "If you wish." He replied. "Long ago, back before my sister and I defeated Discord and founded Equestria, there was a young stallion whom I was very fond of. We had met in school and we became the best of friends. Eventually, I discovered I had feelings for this stallion. Unfortunately, before I could confess my feelings to him, he met with an unfortunate fate. I guess you could say that's the reason I resent Discord, as the stallion's death gave birth to Discord; but that's not the point of the story." She said. She looked over her shoulder at Itachi. "Do you know why I told you that story, Itachi?" She asked. He shook his head. She turned around to face him, a smile on her face. "Itachi, when I lost that stallion, I felt the greatest sorrow anyone could ever feel. I was forever tormented by Discord and reminded of that stallion, and the life I was never able to live." She said. She began to walk toward him. "Itachi, i don't want to make the same mistake twice." She said. "What does that have to do with me?" He asked. She smiled. "You're a smart man, Itachi. I'm sure you've figured it out by now."
"I'm sorry, but I haven't." He said. "Then perhaps this will make things clearer." She said as she stood in front of him. She leaned forward and kissed him. I nearly fell backwards as I witnessed it. Itachi's eyes were wide with surprise; his Sharingan were active, but I don't think even they could've seen that coming. She stopped kissing him and opened her eyes, a smile playing across her face. Both of them were blushing, Itachi blushing far more than she was. He opened his mouth to say something, but the words failed to leave his mouth. She turned and walked back over to the window, a single tear dripping down her face. "Itachi, I said before I didn't want to make the same mistake twice, and I meant it. Therefore, I don't want you to say anything, and just listen to what I'm about to say." She said. Itachi closed his mouth and stood there, his eyes still wide with shock. She turned around to face him with the softest expression I've ever seen her wear. "I love you, Itachi Uchiha."
Reminds me of yesterday. I thought. Itachi's expression did not change, not even wavering from his shock. Princess Celestia stood there, staring at him, expecting him to say something. "I know, this is too sudden. I'm sorry Itachi." She said in a despondent tone as she closed her eyes. Itachi's expression changed a few seconds later from shock to his normal expression. He took a step forward and Celestia opened her eyes, surprised. Itachi still didn't say anything but approached Princess Celestia, his expression not changing. As he got within a few feet of her, a smile found its way onto his face, and he raised his left hand and brushed her mane out of her eyes, wiping the tears from her face. The scene reminded me of Itachi saying his final farewell to Sasuke, as he wore the same smile. He took another step toward her and held her in his arms, her face buried in his chest. He took a step back and looked into her eyes. "Celestia, this night is one I have long awaited." Princess Celestia's eyes widened in delighted surprise. "Forgive me for waiting so long to tell you, as I was unsure of what your reaction would be to a mortal such as myself falling for you." He said. "Then... You mean to tell me...?" She asked, her eyes widening even further. He nodded. "I love you, Princess Celestia."
As the words left his mouth, tears of joy began streaming down her face. A smile covered her face; a smile bigger than any I had seen before. She leaned in and kissed him, Itachi this time accepting it. She broke the kiss and hugged him, Itachi wrapping his arms once more around her. At that moment the moon's light shone through the window and formed a heart on the floor, Itachi and Celestia in the center. That must be Luna's doing. I thought with a smile on my face. With that the Genjutsu ended and I returned to reality. Itachi was staring at me, his expression different from the one he had been wearing in the Genjutsu. "When did this happen?" I asked somewhat infuriated. "About three weeks ago." He replied. "What?! You kept me in the dark for three weeks? I thought we were friends." I said crossing my arms and turning away in a mock pout. "I had meant to tell you earlier, but in case you forgot, we were a little busy these past few days." He said. "Fine, I forgive you." I said with a grin. He chuckled. He stood from where he was sitting and extended his hand to help me do the same. I took it and stood, brushing the dirt off of my cloak. "Come on, we have some work to do." He said. I nodded and we began walking back to the village.

Me: Who could've seen that coming?
Tid: Clearly not Itachi.
Itachi: That's not fair, the Sharingan can't see romance.
Me: I know, we're just teasing you. Anyway, don't miss the next chapter! See ya!
