Heart

If home was where the heart is, did any of them really have a home left? Their village had been destroyed, the familiar sights they grew up with were gone. Nothing was left.

But they didn't have that feeling of emptiness, the feeling of not having a home. They would rebuild, stronger than ever before. And their friends and family were still there, for most of them at least. Their life was good.

Until the next war was declared. And that was when the true feeling of not having a home any more came. As they watched their friends, family and newly made allies torn from the world, they died a little inside.

Because the true heart of a home is not the building, but the people.
