Chapter 45- Conviction
Me: You guys have no idea what's going to happen in this chapter. Let me just say, it'll shock quite a bit of you.
Tid: I'm not going to jail am I?
Me: I can't reveal anything yet.
Tid: Oh no! I am going to jail! I hate you so much!
Me: Relax dude. Anyway, I don't own the rights to Naruto Shippuden or My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

Over the next couple of weeks, the others and I all worked hard to build and sustain the shelter for the now homeless ponies. A few days after the incident Rainbow Dash mysteriously disappeared. We went to look for her, but to no avail. I kept checking the crow vision every chance I got, but still couldn't find her. We couldn't focus on strategy or a counter-attack because we were too focused on rebuilding the town. Luckily Twilight had reestablished the barriers and none of the other cities were attacked. We were already three weeks in to the rebuilding project and only a third of the town was rebuilt. We worked vigorously to complete the restoration as soon as possible, but it would be a few weeks before the restoration was complete. We has just finished a house for the family I had seen on the day of the attack when a few royal guards appeared before me. "Tid, your presence has been requested at Canterlot Castle." One of them said. "Oh, alright." I said. We traveled to Canterlot Castle.
I walked into the lobby and walked up to the secretary's desk. "My presence was requested?" I asked. She glanced up to see who I was. "Ah, yes. Please take that door to your left and go all the way down the hall." She said. I nodded and walked through the door. I hadn't seen this part of the castle before. It was a dark hallway with no doors or rooms on either side. I walked for a short while before coming upon a lone door at the end of the hallway. I gripped the door knob and pulled the door open slowly, not knowing what to expect. I opened the door fully to see Princess Celestia and Princess Cadence behind what looked to be a judge's desk. Before them was standing a familiar pony. "There you are, Tid. Come in, we were just about to get started." Celestia said. I walked into the room and took a seat to Princess Celestia's right. "What is going on here?" I asked. The pony that stood before me was none other than Rainbow Dash. She was covered in blood and splashes of color for some reason. "Rainbow Dash, please step forward." Princess Celestia said with a look of cold judgment on her face. Rainbow Dash took a step forward and lowered her head. "It has been brought to our attention that you we associate with a facility called the Rainbow Factory in Cloudsdale, is this true?" Celestia asked. Rainbow Dash nodded, her eyes closed and her head still lowered. "We have also been given to believe that you are the leader of said facility. Is this also correct?" She asked. Rainbow Dash nodded. "The Rainbow Factory?" I asked. "The Rainbow Factory is a facility in which they would extract the souls of ponies and use them to produce chemicals for creating rainbows." Cadence said. My eyes widened. Is that why Rainbow Dash looked like that? "Then I am assuming you accept the charges that go with this? Several hundred counts of colt-slaughter, attempted homicide, etc.?" Celestia said, her tone unwavering. Rainbow Dash nodded. "Alright then I hereby sentence you to- " "Wait!" I exclaimed. Celestia stopped abruptly, looking at me with a look of surprise and confusion. Rainbow Dash raised her head in surprise. "I may not have known Rainbow Dash for as long as you two might've, but I know her well enough to know that she wouldn't do something like this. There has to be another explanation." I said. "Tid, we have several witnesses as well as a confession from Rainbow Dash herself, what more is there to suggest something else?" Celestia asked. "I believe she wouldn't do something like this, at least not knowingly." I said. "Tid, what are you doing? I really did do all of that stuff, there's no saving me now." She said closing her eyes and lowering her head again. "Unless you can provide evidence that would suggest otherwise, Rainbow Dash will be tried for these crimes and locked up for the rest of her life." Cadence said. I sat there wracking my brain, trying to come up with something that would save her. Then it hit me. "I would like to plead insanity on Rainbow Dash's behalf." I said. "Insanity? What evidence do you have to support this?" Celestia asked. "As I stated earlier I believe that Rainbow Dash would not do such actions knowingly. I'm suggesting that she did not have full control over her actions while performing these acts of murder." I said. "And your proof?" Cadence asked. I walked down to Rainbow Dash. "Rainbow Dash, did you or did you not have full control of your actions while at said facility?" I asked her. "I think so, although, whenever I went there I would have trouble focusing on anything." She said. "You said you had trouble focusing? What might you have needed to focus on?" I asked. "I... I don't remember. All I know is there seemed to be something else, like another voice in my head, telling me to do things. I thought it was my own mind telling me to do these things, as after it did I would get an overwhelming urge to do it." She said. I turned back to the princesses. "See? What did I tell you. She didn't in fact have control over her actions when performing these crimes." I said. "How can we be certain she is telling the truth?" Cadence asked. I could only think of one pony who could be certain. "I'd like to bring Pinkie Pie here. She can make certain." I said. Celestia and Cadence looked at each other. "Alright. We shall allow you fifteen minutes to bring her here." Celestia said. I nodded. "Thank you." I said. They nodded and Celestia teleported me to Ponyville.
I ran around Ponyville looking for Pinkie Pie. Eventually I spotted Twilight at a shop we had repaired a few days ago. It was the jewelry shop that had sold me the engagement ring I had given to Rarity. "Twilight!" I said running up to her. "Hey Tid, what's the rush?" She asked. "Where's Pinkie Pie? I need to take her to Canterlot Castle." I said. "Um, I saw her with Rarity earlier. Why? What's going on?" She replied. "I'll explain everything on the way. Come on!" I said. We ran around looking for Pinkie Pie. Eventually we found them sitting on a blanket in the shade of an oak tree. They were talking and Rarity was blushing slightly. "Pinkie Pie, the you are! We need you to come with us right away!" I said. "What? What's going on?" She asked. "There's no time to explain, we need to go NOW!" I said. I grabbed her arm and Twilight teleported us to the trial room. "Tid, you just barely made it." Cadence said. "Sorry, but it wasn't exactly easy to find her." I said. "What's going on here?" She asked. "Rainbow Dash is being tried for crimes against ponies. We have brought you here to determine if her story is true or not." Celestia replied. Pinkie Pie looked at Rainbow Dash, then at Twilight, then at me, then repeated. "Pinkie Pie, if you'd summon the King of Hell for us, we could end this whole thing right now." I said. "Okay." She said after a short while. Pinkie Pie stood up and walked in front of Rainbow Dash. Rainbow Dash gulped knowing this process wasn't pleasant, even if you did tell the truth. She summoned the King of Hell and he grabbed her tongue. "Now Rainbow Dash, please repeat your story to me." I was surprised at how serious she could be. The King of Hell let go of her tongue. "All I remember is that when I was there, there was something else, like another voice, in my head telling me to do things. I thought it was my own mind because afterward I would feel an overwhelming urge to do it." She said. The King of Hell grabbed her tongue once more. We all waited in suspense as the King of Hell determined if she was telling the truth or not. Eventually, after what seemed like an eternity, the King of Hell released Rainbow Dash's tongue and disappeared. Rainbow Dash coughed. "See? She was in fact telling the truth." I said. Princess Celestia and Cadence looked at each other and discussed the verdict. Princess Celestia looked back at us, her cold look was replaced with a warm smile. "In light of this new evidence, we hereby find Rainbow Dash: not guilty." She said. We cheered and Rainbow a Dash breathed a sigh of relief. "However, we are also going to put Rainbow Dash under surveillance until we know she can control her actions." She said. I nodded. "How about I buy us all something to drink?" I asked. "Yeah, that sounds good." Rainbow Dash said. We all laughed and walked out of the room.
We all sat around a table at a cafe in Canterlot. Pinkie Pie had just cracked a joke and we all laughed. Rainbow Dash leaned in close to me. "Tid, I... Wanted to thank you for saving my hide back there." She said. "Don't mention it, it's the least I can do for a friend." "There's gotta be a way I can repay you." She said. "Really, don't mention it. If anything, I'd just focus on staying out of trouble." I said. She sat back in her chair. "I'm sorry, I have no idea what I was thinking." She said. "That's just it, you weren't thinking. You didn't have any control over your own thoughts." Twilight said. Rainbow Dash said nothing and looked into the sky. I took a sip of my coffee and set it back down. "You know, I may know someone who could help you with that other voice of yours." I said. They all looked at me. "You do?" They asked in unison. I flinched a little. "Yeah, I do, however I don't think he'd be able to help us, what with him being from my world and all." I said. "Then why'd you bring it up?" Rainbow Dash asked. "Sorry, I just thought... Never mind, it was a dumb idea." I said. "Let's hear more about him." Twilight said leaning forward. "Um, alright. His name is Inoichi Yamanaka. His clan is the best in interrogation. He can even use a technique called the Mind Body Switch Technique. Now, from what I've been told of the technique, the user can sense if there is another presence in the body of the victim; I guess I should know, as the technique was used on me by his daughter." I said. "Where could we find him?" She asked. I gave her a look of baffled confusion. "Um, you could find him in my world, in my home village. Why? It's not like we can go there." I said. "I don't know about that. It's just a theory, but there may be a way to return to your world for a short amount of time." She said. The others looked at her. Pinkie Pie did a spit-take, spewing her hot chocolate all over Rainbow Dash. "Oops! Sorry Rainbow Dash!" She said. Rainbow Dash sighed. "It's fine, Pinkie." She said wiping the hot liquid from her mane. We all stared at Twilight expectantly. "Well? What's your theory?" I asked. "Oh, right. You see, there's a magic mirror we have that lets us travel to a different dimension. I was thinking, if we could reconfigure it somehow, then we may be able to travel to your world." "Are you serious?" I asked. She nodded. I looked at the others for confirmation and they nodded. "What are we doing here then? Let's go!" I said. They nodded. I paid for the drinks using the last of my money and we all ran toward the castle.
We arrived about a minute later and we entered the throne room. "Hello girls and Tid, what brings you here?" Celestia asked. I noticed that she was the only princess in the throne room (save for Twilight). Twilight approached the throne. "We have come to use the mirror." She said. "The mirror? Whatever for?" Celestia asked. "We are planning to reconfigure it somehow to go to Tid's world." She said. Celestia smiled. "Very well then. However, I'm afraid the mirror isn't here right now." She said. "What? Where is it?" Rainbow Dash asked. "Robert and Vinyl borrowed it to go to the other dimension." She replied. "Then what are we waiting for? Let's go!" Rainbow Dash said. "Wait, Rainbow Dash. I don't think Robert's going to let us use it so easily." I said. "Why not?" She asked. "Well, let's just say we aren't exactly the best of friends." I said. "Then what are we going to do?" She asked. "We could try sneaking in and taking it by force." I said. "Now, now, no need to do anything rash." Twilight said. "What do you suggest we do then?" I asked. "Ooh! I know!" Pinkie Pie said. "What is it?" Twilight asked. "Why don't we do something for him in return? We could throw him a party!" She said. "That sounds like a great idea, Pinkie." Twilight said with genuine enthusiasm. "Yay!" Pinkie Pie said bouncing up and down in joy. "You really like parties, don't you Pinkie?" I asked her. She nodded as she was jumping. This caused her to lose her balance and she fell to the ground with a thud. We all couldn't help but laugh; even Princess Celestia. "Come on, let's go convince him." I said to the others.

Me: Alright, I know what you guys are thinking, "The mirror can only be used every thirty moons!" We'll let me just say I have a plan for that.
Tid: I always end up hating your plans.
Me: No need to worry. No one dies this time.. Or do they? MWUAHAHAHAHAHA!
Tid: See this is why I don't trust you.
