Chapter 52- The Date is Set

Me: This chapter is a short one.

Tid: Let me guess, even though it's short, it's gonna be good, right?

Me: Yep. I don't own the rights to Naruto Shippuden or My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

When I returned to Ponyville the others were waiting for me outside of Twilight's house. "There you are, where have you been?" Rainbow Dash asked annoyed. "And what happened to your cloak?" Rarity asked. I looked down at my cloak and saw it singed and covered in dirt. The hole had also gotten bigger. I scratched the back of my head. "Oh, about that, I was just fighting Princess Celestia." I said. "What?" The all said at once. "Oh don't worry, we were only sparring, though it did get a little intense." I said. Rarity rushed over to me. "Oh you poor darling, are you hurt? Is anything broken?" She asked examining me. "No, I'm fine." I said. "Well you must be terribly exhausted. Come, we are going home so you can rest." She said grabbing my hand. "Rarity I'll manage. I'll have time to rest later." I said. She stopped. "Tid I truly do worry about you. You're always pushing yourself for the good of others, and one day I fear you may push yourself too far." She said. "Rarity, I promise I'll be fine." I said placing my hands on her shoulders. "Oh alright. But we simply must do something about that cloak of yours. You can't continue to wear it in this condition!" She said nearly ripping the cloak off of my body. She ran with the cloak back to her house, leaving me standing there half naked. "Hey!" I said, but she couldn't hear. I turned back to the others. "Is she usually that obsessive about fashion?" I asked. "Oh don't worry, she's a lot more obsessive when it comes to beauty and fashion." Twilight said. We all laughed. "So, what do we do next?" Pinkie Pie asked. "I want each and every one of you to be ready to fight Nightmare Moon and her Anti-Forces in less than three months. We are ending this war." I said. They all nodded. "Good. Until then, I'll be monitoring you all to make sure you're safe." I said. "Tid, don't worry, nothing will happen. We'll be fine." Twilight said. "Yeah, you worry too much." Rainbow Dash said. "You all feel this way?" I asked. They all nodded. "Alright. I won't monitor you then." I said. I turned and walked toward Rarity's house without another word.

When I got back I saw Rarity repairing my cloak. She was already half-way done with all of the holes on it. I hadn't realized just how tattered it was. "I didn't realize it bothered you so much." I said. She looked up. "Yes, terribly so. I just couldn't stand by and watch such an atrocity stand before me. I simply had to do something, you understand, right?" She said. "Of course I do. I hadn't realized just how bad it was. You were only doing what you felt needed to be done. I'll always respect your decisions; even if they do leave me half-naked next to half a dozen girls." I said. She couldn't help but laugh. She continued to sew new cloth onto the cloak, blending it perfectly with the fabric surrounding it so as to make a seamless look. "It'll take me a little while to finish with this, darling." She said. "I know, but I'd hate to be off doing something else while you are fixing my cloak." I said. "Oh no need to fret, darling. Why don't you go on and take a rest? You must be terribly exhausted from your encounter with the Princess." She said. I sighed. "If you insist." I said. I reluctantly walked up the stairs and into the spare bedroom. I lay down in the bed and stared at the ceiling. There were still many things to be done, and a short amount of time to do them in. I had to make sure Ponyville, Canterlot, and the Crystal Empire were well enough protected. I would need to establish another means of protecting them without having to use Twilight's magic, but how? I wanted Princess Celestia to be available for the fight against her sister, so she was out of the equation. I supposed Princess Cadence could protect the Crystal Empire, but that didn't help the situation with Ponyville or Canterlot. I sighed and closed my eyes; and it wasn't until I had done so that I realized just how exhausted I was. I fell asleep almost immediately.

I was woken up a few hours later by the sound of Rarity entering the room. "Oh, hello Rarity." I said. "Hello darling. Did you sleep well?" She asked. I nodded as I sat up and stretched. "And don't you feel much better?" She asked. I nodded again. She smiled. "See? I know what my dear little Tid needs." She said. "You certainly do." I said smiling. I swung my feet over the side of the bed and she handed me my cloak. "It took a couple of hours to restitch all of the holes and tears, and a few more hours to get it perfectly clean; but it was worth it. You look absolutely dazzling." She said, her eyes lighting up. I stood up and hugged her. "Thank you so much. I really appreciate it." I said. She nodded and hugged me back. We released and she turned around and walked out of have room. I stood there, looking out the window. It felt like the entire world was resting on my shoulders. I drew in a deep breath and let it out before putting my cloak back on. The hour was late but there were still things to do. I decided I would go to the base to make some preparations as well as contact Princess Celestia. I walked out of the room and down the stairs, giving Rarity a quick goodbye as I walked out of the door and toward the base.

I was about halfway there when I felt a spike in the power levels in the town. I looked around for the source and black clouds closed in on the air above me, flashing thunder and lightning threateningly. The familiar midnight blue smoke appeared before me and revealed Nightmare Moon. "What are you doing here?" I asked her. "Can't I just drop in to say hi to my loyal subjects?" She asked in a friendly voice. "We are no longer your loyal subjects. I'll ask you once more, what are you doing here?" I asked. "Alright, if you absolutely must know, I'm here to tell you that this is your last chance to join me." She said. "How many times do I have to tell you? I'm never going to join you. I'll never betray my friends, no matter what you say." I said. "Are you sure?" She asked. I nodded. "Alright, fine. I shall return on October 31st. You have until then to prepare." She said with a grin. "Don't worry, we'll be ready." I said back. "Good. I wouldn't want a boring fight." She said. Lightning and thunder flashed and she disappeared, laughing evilly. "October 31st, that's just a few weeks away. I've got to tell the others." I said.

Me: I'm thinking the final battle of the war will happen within the next few chapters.

Tid: Good, then I can marry Rarity!

Me: Yeah, that's right. Anyway, favorite, follow, and leave a review! See ya next time!
