Family

Growing up, Naruto had never known the warmth of a family, but next to his teammate's gobbling down ramen a Ichiraku's, he could imagine what it was like. Sasuke was his brother always 'too cool' to play par in Naruto's little schemes, but inevitably getting involved when things headed pear shaped. Sakura was his sister, lightly teasing and eternally putting a positive spin on situations, all whilst berating him for being injured in his latest mission (to save the village of course). And Kakashi . . . Naruto was never sure where he fitted. Too old for a brother, and not really their father either. Perhaps a cool uncle, the kind who taught his nieces and nephews silly pranks and jokes, much to the chagrin of his siblings.

But it didn't matter how they fitted together, that wasn't what made them family. Their bonds revolved around a reluctance to give up on one another, a flat out refusal to stop believing.

For Naruto they were the only family he had ever truly known.

And the only family he would ever need.

93% on my weekly Chinese test! And I listened to Soulja Boy for the first time in years today, that took me back to 2007 (has it really been that long since Crank That?) That was 11/12 year old me's jam. And figured out how to operate X-Box music on my computer, hence the blast from the past.
