Chapter 56-The Beginning of the End
Me: Alright, the final battle of the war is going to happen VERY soon.
Tid: How much longer?
Me: I'll leave you to find that out. I don't Naruto Shippuden or My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

The next day I called a meeting with every pony that would be participating in the final battle. We all met in the throne room of Canterlot Castle. Even Princess Cadence and Shining Armor were there. We all stood in a circle around the middle of the room, symbolizing equality of forces in this war. Princess Celestia was the first to speak. "As I'm sure everyone is aware, Nightmare Night begins in just a few hours." She said. Everyone remained silent. "Good. Now, we need to make sure everyone is ready for the battle that is sure to come." She said. Shining Armor stepped forward. "Princess, the army is ready to move out at a moment's notice. Also, Cadence and I are ready to fight as well." He said. "I'm sorry but I'm afraid I can't let you fight this time. Princess Cadence is in charge of sustaining the barrier around the Crystal Kingdom. You, however, will lead the army into battle against the Anti-Forces." She said. "And what are you going to do Princess? Surely you're going to provide support for the battle against you're sister?" Twilight asked. Celestia shook her head. "I'm afraid I'm going to be sustaining the barrier around Canterlot." She replied. "Don't worry, we'll be fine without her. I know you've all been working hard these past few weeks, and I have no doubt with you're help we'll defeat Nightmare Moon." I said. The others still seemed a little unsure. Rarity then put on a determined look. "He's right girls. We can do it, and we will do it. Remember girls, we're not just doing this for ourselves, we're also defending all of Equestria, as well as it's citizens, and we'll be damned to let them down." She said taking a step forward. The others looked at her with a look of awe. They hadn't expected that their friend who had once been afraid of getting her hooves dirty had transformed into the determined pony that now stood before them. "Thank you, Rarity." I said. "Oh you're welcome dear!" She said smiling. The others nodded as I looked at them. Even Itachi seemed determined. I grinned. "Good. Now let's talk strategy." I said.
I turned to Shining Armor. "Shining Armor, I want you to station your troops at key points throughout the entrances of Ponyville and Canterlot. We'll have to meet the Anti-Forces with as much force as possible before they have time to react and counter-attack." I said. "Yes sir." He said nodding. I could tell his attitude toward me had changed drastically. He now regarded me with respect; instead of the attitude he had given me just a few months previous. I nodded. I turned to Itachi. "Itachi, as one of the strongest people I know, I want you to lead the other six into battle. I'll leave it up to your judgment to do as you see fit." I said. He nodded. Finally I turned to the others. "Girls, I want you to listen to everything Itachi says. Do not hesitate to carry out any orders he gives you, as he knows what he's doing. Also, be careful as to who your allies are, as it is nearly impossible to distinguish between the Anti version of someone and the real one. Now, I assume you all know of the Anti-Forces that have been eliminated, correct?" I asked. They nodded. "Good. I want you to be prepared in one hour." I said. The nodded once more. I turned to Celestia. "I'll leave a few of my clones here in case something goes wrong." I said. She nodded. I looked at Princess Cadence. "I'll do the same for the Crystal Kingdom as well." I said. She nodded. "Alright, now scatter." I said. With that we all left immediately.
Rarity and I headed back to her house where we both prepared for the final battle. We said nothing to each other as we prepared, giving each other only glances of confidence. As she was about to leave I met her at the door. "Don't worry about me, honey. I'll be fine." She said. "I know you will. I have complete faith in you." I said smiling. "I'll finish up with these Anti-Forces and return to assist you in your battle within the hour." She said. I chuckled. That's what I liked to hear. "I'm counting on you." I said. "And I shall not let you down!" She said. I hugged her and watched as she left for the rendezvous point.
I had just finished putting on my training weights when Princess Celestia contacted me. "Tid, if you would, I'd like you to come to Canterlot Castle one more time before the final battle. There's a matter we would like to you to observe." She said. "Alright, I'll be right there." I replied. I raised two fingers and traveled through the ground to the throne room of Canterlot Castle. When I got there I saw none other than Robert and Vinyl. I noticed Vinyl was once again human, and very pregnant. "Vinyl and I came before you to address a potentially serious issue. Vinyl is bearing the spawn of a shadow creature. The dark energy is advancing its growth by several months." He said. So, the child isn't his after all. Something like that could be a serious threat to Equestria; even greater than Nightmare Moon. I thought. "Being that it is the spawn of a dark entity and an Element, it could become a great threat to the safety of the country." Celestia said. "With that said I feel it must be destroyed immediately." Twilight said. "But if the dark energy is destroyed it would kill the host as well!" Robert said. "I am sorry to say it, but it's her safety or the safety of Equestria." Cadence said. I hadn't even noticed she was there until that point. Robert grabbed Vinyl's hand, preparing to make a break for it. "Stop them!" Celestia said quickly. I jumped from my spot on the platform to a short distance away from Robert, standing in Rock Lee's famous fighting stance. "Not gonna happen! Mist, Slenderpony!" Robert said. At that moment the two figures I had fought before came into existence before me. Robert took this opportunity to escape. I swore under my breath. The one called Mist grinned. "Heh, you've got to get through us if you want to get to them!" He said. "I don't have time to deal with you!" I said. I clasped my hands together and chains shot from the floor, binding them. They struggled to escape but couldn't. "Now stay put. I'll be back to deal with you two later." I said. Then an idea came to me. I turned my head to look at the princesses. "Unless someone else wants to take care of them for me?" I asked. Princess Celestia grinned. She stood up and began walking toward the two. "It would be my pleasure." She said. The two gulped as Princess Celestia approached them. I used my Mangekyou Rinnegan to teleport outside of the castle. There was a bright flash of light and a scream of pain. I had to keep myself from laughing. I sat down on the ground and focused, trying to find out which way Robert had gone. A few moments later I heard a very loud roar coming from the direction of a few mountains, as well as a massive power level spike. It forced my eyes open with shock. I sat there, paralyzed with fear. I had never felt such pure evil, nor such a massive amount of power. It was strong enough to rival even a tailed beast. I stood up and looked in the direction it had come from. "Please don't tell me it's him." I said. I made my way in that direction as quickly as I could. I left Canterlot and continued running until I had gotten to mountain range. By the time I had done so the sun was already down. Nightmare Night had begun. I prayed the others were holding their own against the Anti-Forces at this moment. I continued running and stopped when I came face-to-face with Robert. He now had a black and green aura surrounding his entire body. His eyes were pure black. Other than that he didn't look any different, but he was definitely the source of the massive power. "It seems now I have no choice but to kill you." I said. I could tell I was in for one hell of a battle, one I couldn't lose.
