First
"You've got to let them go Iruka, they aren't your students any more." Daikoku clapped the younder man on the shoulder. "I know that they are your first graduating class and all, but you've gotta stop worrying. They have the best Jonin sensei, and if Kakashi, Asuma and Kurenai say that they're ready, I'd believe them."
"Daikoku, you know how hard the Chunin exams are, we had to pass them too." Iruka sighed. "I just don't think they're up to it. Have you seen some of the genin from the other villages? That Gaara kid . . . There's something not right about him."
"Give it a rest, Iruka." Suzume sighed as she closed her locker. "We've all been there, the first group are the hardest. You just have to trust that the Jonin sensei knows those kid's as well as you did. Usually they know them better. And didn't your group have the Uchiha kid and the Nine-Tails Brat? Not to mention the next generation of the six most powerful clans in Konoha."
"You don't know these kids like I do, they won't handle it."
"Do their over confident? Good. They need to be taken down a step at some point. Hardly anyone passes on their first try. Get the disappointment out of the way early so they don't get to cocky. It's how it works." Daikoku explained. "None of those kid's are likely to pass, not even the Uchiha. It's all part of the process."
I almost wrote this prompt last night. If I had, it would have been veeeery different.
