Saviour
He wasn't a hero and he didn't want to be remembered as one.
His people and village disagreed. To them he was almost a God. How many times had he fought and saved them? How often was it that the his sand was all that stood between them and utter annihilation?
His argument was as expected, that he was or had been the host of a demonic beast. That he had let said beast fall into the hands of the dreaded Akatsuki, that his own shirt comings were the cause of the war which had both united the nations and ruined so many lives.
Eventually the began calling him Kyūseishu, saviour.
He could live with that. He wasn't a hero or a god.
Yeah, saviour. Gaara gave a small smile. The title had a nice ring to it. I like that one.
Please don't take Kyūseishu (救世主) as meaning Saviour, I got that off of google translate and am taking Chinese not Japanese. If anyone does speak Japanese, feel free to correct me :)
