Moments Like These
Who would worry about the enemy? Gaara could only stare as the great tree came down, felled by the first person he had counted as a friend. The person he had thought was dying only moment's earlier. Naruto was back with a vengeance. Gaara didn't know what had happened to Naruto during the time he spent on the edge of death He just knew that Naruto now radiated power and life.
It was also in that moment that Gaara knew that the fate of the whole world would hinge on Naruto. Not just to end the war but for the entire future. Naruto would decide the fate of the world.
And Gaara was fine with that.
He trusted Naruto, after all.
