Chapter 76- A New Uchiha

Me: Now, let's begin my faithful readers! As usual, I don't own the rights to Naruto Shippuden or My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

Twilight, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Princess Celestia, Applejack, Pinkie, Itachi and I all walked through Ponyville on our way out to lunch. At first I had been worried about appearing in front of the entire village without anything to cover my torso, but my fears were alleviated when Princess Celestia offered me a cloak that she had magically conjured. She warned that the spell would last for only a few hours, so we had to make haste. Of course, this was aided by the fact that every pony that saw Princess Celestia bowed and cleared a path for us.

"So, Tid, what was it like being dead?" Twilight asked as she let her curiosity get the best of her.

"It was awful," I replied as I grimly remembered every waking moment of it. The others looked at me.

"Didn't you see your parents or anyone like that?" She asked. I shook my head.

"No, the space where I was was pretty empty. It was just me, and some... other things." I said. Twilight looked at me, but I looked away. I didn't want to think about those other things.

"Okay," She said as if she could read my mind.

"Let's not let that get us down, alright?" Princess Celestia interjected with a smile. I nodded, and the others agreed to change the topic as well.

"So, what's this theory we heard about?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"You'll all find out in due time. I want everyone to be sitting down when they hear this." I replied. I looked to Itachi and he nodded in confirmation.

"Is that so?" Celestia asked with a sense of curiosity in her voice as well.

"Yes. You'll all know when Itachi and I explain it to you, so please, don't pester us about it." I pleaded. They all giggled.

"Alright, we'll leave you alone," Celestia said closing her eyes and continuing to walk. "For now," She said opening one eye to look at me.

I sighed and we continued to walk toward the place where we were going to have lunch. Eventually, we arrived at a place that looked as if it were built only recently, as it still lacked a name. It was a three-story building that stood tall against the landscape that surrounded it. It was made of black marble that loomed overhead. It was nicely polished and cast a brilliant light from its surface. There was a crowd around the glass double-doors that stood closed behind a distressed-looking stallion in a gray suit. His mane was black and in a mess. He stood in front of the building with one hoof outstretched to the masses before him, trying to calm them. We pushed our way through the crowd and made our way to the front.

"Excuse me, what's going on?" I asked him. He turned his attention to me, his mouth open as he was about to shout at me. When he realized who I was, however, he immediately closed his mouth. The rest of the ponies that surrounded us also fell quiet.

"Well?" I asked.

"Er, you see, I would like to let these ponies in, but, er..." He mumbled.

"What's the problem?" Celestia asked.

"Well, you see Miss Celestia, er, this establishment... It hasn't got a name yet, so... I can't let anyone in until then." He replied nervously.

"Oh that's alright, Tid can name this place, can't he?" Celestia asked politely. I looked at her in astonishment.

"Er, yes! That would be best! I've spent weeks contemplating the name, but I can't conjure up a single good idea. Tid! Would you be so kind as to name this establishment?" The stallion asked.

"Er, I suppose so." I replied. Everyone around me cheered.

"But, may we eat first?" I asked. He looked at me blankly for a few minutes, then smiled once more.

"Why of course! Right this way!" He said as he opened the doors and welcomed us inside. All I had time to see was the receptionist counter before I was escorted back outside and into a chair that accompanied a table just outside of the building.

"Please wait here sir, I'll have the waitresses bring you your menus." The owner said. I nodded and he rushed back into the building, which had already been swarmed with ponies. The others took their seats around the table.

"So, now that we're all seated, why don't you tell us about this theory?" Celestia asked.

"Alright, I'll tell you. I must tell you, it involves Rarity." I replied.

"Rarity? Wait, don't tell us-" Twilight began.

"She's pregnant!" Pinkie exclaimed. I blushed.

"Er-"

"She is! You sly bastard!" Rainbow Dash said with a smile. I raised my hands in defense.

"No, she's not!" I said with my face as hot as the sun.

"Please, calm down." Itachi said to them. They all looked at him and his expression remained serious.

"What's up, Itachi?" Twilight asked him.

"Rarity isn't pregnant," He replied; his expression unwavering.

"Eh? Then what's this theory?" Rainbow Dash asked. Itachi and I looked to each other and nodded. I looked back to them all.

"Rarity," I said. "Is an Uchiha, now."

"What? What does that mean?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"You're married now?!" Pinkie asked.

"No, that's not what I meant. She's a full-blooded Uchiha now." I answered.

"I think an explanation would be nice, Tid." Celestia said. I nodded.

"You see, when I died, I used the Transcription Seal to bequeath all of my powers to Rarity," I began.

"However, something unexpected, at least to me, happened." Itachi continued.

"Something unexpected? What do you mean?" Twilight asked curiously.

"When I used the Transcription Seal, I didn't just allow Rarity to use all of my techniques once. Instead, it was as if she and I had become one." I answered.

"You two became one?" Rainbow Dash asked. I nodded.

"Now what in the hay does that mean?" Applejack asked.

"Well, it's a little complicated to explain, but I'll try. You see, normally, when the Transcription Seal is used, a certain amount of chakra is transferred to the recipient. However, when I used it, not only did my chakra transfer into her, but the ability for my chakra to regenerate within her was also transferred to her. Therefore, it was as if Rarity was born with my powers." I explained.

"Really? That's fascinating. But, how does that make her a full-blooded Uchiha?" Twilight asked.

"I'm getting to that part. Instead of just transferring the chakra to use my Mangekyou Rinnegan, I transferred the ocular jutsu itself; this means that she could activate it and deactivate it at will." I replied.

"This is something that not even Kakashi was able to do when Obito gave him his Sharingan." Itachi interjected.

"So it's as if she was born with it?" Fluttershy asked.

"Well, not exactly born with it, but rather, born with the ability to use it, like the rest of the Uchiha." I replied.

"So, this ability to activate it and deactivate your Mangekyou Rinnegan is what made her an Uchiha?" Celestia asked.

"Well, yes and no. Ordinarily, when I took my powers back, she wouldn't be able to use even the Sharingan anymore. However, you must remember she had the chakra of an Uchiha within her, a chakra that was able to regenerate naturally, much like her own. She was exposed to my chakra over an extended period of time, as well as the ocular jutsu of the Mangekyou Rinnegan. These two factors must've changed her genetic makeup and made her a full-blooded Uchiha." I answered.

"That makes sense, but how do we know that she's actually an Uchiha, and not her normal self?" Twilight asked.

"You see, when I took my powers back, Itachi had already explained his theory to me," When I said this the others looked at Itachi with looks of disbelief.

"Wait, so you knew he was alive again and didn't tell us?" Rainbow Dash asked angrily.

"No, it's not like that," I answered. They looked at me again with blank expressions.

"It's hard to explain. Anyway, when I took my powers back, I used a technique to force Rarity's Sharingan to activate. This confirmed that she was a full-blooded Uchiha. If you want, I could have Rarity show you all her Sharingan when she wakes up." I said.

"That would be helpful." Twilight said. I nodded. I looked down and discovered that at some point in the conversation menus had been delivered to our table. I didn't open mine, as I wasn't very hungry, but the others eagerly grabbed their menus and looked through them.

"You said it was your treat, right Tid?" Rainbow Dash asked. I nodded.

"Try not to drain me too much, okay? I still have to pick up Rarity's groceries later." I pleaded. They all laughed.

"So that's what she's got you doing, huh? I guess it's payback for dying on her." Rainbow Dash smirked.

"No, she had nothing to do with it. I'm simply picking up a few things I need so I can make her dinner." I replied.

"Yeah, okay." Rainbow Dash shook her head and looked back at her menu. A few minutes later a white mare with a long scarlet mane in a waitresses outfit came to our table.

"Hello, my name is Miranda and I'll be taking your orders today." She said with a warm smile.

"I won't be having anything, thank you." I said to her. She looked at me and nodded; her smile unfaltering. She turned her attention to the others and they all nodded at one another.

"Six hay-burgers please!" They all said in unison. I glanced at Itachi, who still had his menu in hand. As Miranda finished writing down their orders, she turned to Itachi.

"And what will you be having, sir?" She asked him politely.

"I'll have a salad, thank you." He replied as he calmly set his menu down in the center of the table. The others followed suit and Miranda used her magic to pick up each of the menus.

"Alright, I'll have those for you all in just a minute, okay?" She told us. We all nodded and she turned around and walked back into the building.

"So, Tid, how did you come up with this theory of yours?" Celestia asked as she sat back in her chair and crossed one leg over the other.

"Actually, it was Itachi that came up with the theory," I replied. Itachi nodded.

"Is that so? Well, you can explain it to me later, okay honey?" Celestia winked at Itachi. I glanced at him in the corner of my eye and saw that he was blushing slightly. I had to stifle my laughter.

"Oh yeah, Tid, didn't you say you were going to marry Rarity when the war was over?" Twilight asked. The others looked at me with anxious expressions.

"Yes, I did. However, I think I should propose to her again; considering last time we were... interrupted." I replied.

"Do you still have the ring?" Fluttershy asked. I shook my head.

"I gave it to her already. I'll have to find a way to take it back without her noticing."

"I dunno if she'll like that," Applejack said. It was at that moment that Miranda came back with a full tray of sandwiches and a bowl of salad. She set them before us and the girls eagerly took a sandwich.

"Anything else for you all? Can I get you anything to drink?" Miranda asked.

"Water for all of us, if you will." I replied. She nodded and promptly turned around and entered the building once more. I turned back to the others.

"She'll get the ring back eventually," I continued. "I mean, I'm not returning it or anything like that."

"Still, she'll notice it's missing." Applejack said.

"I'll just have to tell her it got lost or something like that," I replied.

"That's cruel." Rainbow Dash said as she bit into her sandwhich. I shrugged and looked over my shoulder as Miranda came back and delivered the eight glasses of water. She also placed a slip of paper in front of me. I looked down at it and noticed that it was a bill for our meal; though there were no prices listed.

"Er, how much is this going to cost?" I asked her confused.

"Oh, it's going to be charged to the restaurant itself. All we need you to do is sign the name of the restaurant on that line," She replied pointing to the line at the bottom of the bill with her horn. She handed me a pen using her magic and waited anxiously to see what I would write. I shrugged and wrote down the first thing that came to mind with a slight smirk on my face. She beamed and lifted the paper with her magic; reading what I had written. When she had read it, her expression changed to that of confusion.

"Sir, this is what you want to name us?" She asked. I nodded.

"Is there a problem with that name?" I asked. She shook her head.

"Nothing wrong with it at all; I just wanted to make sure this was your final decision." She replied.

"It is," I said. She nodded and went back into the building.

"So, what'd you name it?" Twilight asked curiously.

"You'll find out," I replied lifting my glass to my lips and taking a sip of the water. For the rest of the meal the girls mostly chatted amongst themselves and Itachi and I talked about the time before I turned back time. Eventually, the girls and Itachi finished their lunch and we dispersed. Itachi and I went back to the Carousel Boutique where Rarity was still sleeping.

"Itachi, Celestia told me something interesting today." I said when the door had closed. He followed me into the living room where we sat on two chairs surrounding a coffee table.

"Oh? And what would that be?" He inquired. I leaned forward in my chair.

"She told me that an incident like this happened before," I said.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean, she told me that the spirits that possessed Rarity had done so once before," I replied.

"Oh yes, she told me about that too. After you were revived and inside of the Crystal Empire, I travelled back to the Royal Castle where I left her. It was there that she told me about that incident." He said.

"I see," I said leaning back in my chair.

"Why do you bring this up?" He asked.

"I'm just saying, this can't be a coincidence." I replied.

"If that's the case, then I must tell you that Rarity and I talked as well." He said.

"Really? What did you two talk about?" I inquired.

"She explained to me that there had to be something larger taking place. Now, what exactly that is, we don't know, but I agreed with her." He answered.

"Hmm, so she noticed it too, then?" I asked shifting my position in my chair. He nodded.

"It's a long shot, but maybe she had managed to gather some information from the spirits that had possessed her?" I asked. He shook his head.

"That's not what we were talking about. She mentioned that someone wanted you out of the way, possibly to encourage Rarity to take on a higher form of power. Of course, there's no way to know if this is the case, so we're leaving it to a theory for now." Itachi explained.

"I see. Well, perhaps Rarity did manage to gather some information, even subconsciously. I'll have to ask her when she wakes up." I said. He nodded.

"That would be the best thing to do at this point," He agreed. I nodded and looked toward the kitchen. Opal had escaped Rarity's room and was now playing with a piece of string on the kitchen floor. Suddenly a thought came to me and I looked at Itachi.

"Say, where are you living now, anyways?" I asked him.

"I'm living with Princess Celestia in the Royal Castle," He replied.

"Is that so? It must be incredibly luxurious there," I said. He nodded.

"It is. A little more over-the-top than I'd like, but it's fine. It makes Celestia happy to have me there, so I live with it." He said closing his eyes. I stared at him for a few minutes, remaining silent. Then I smiled, bursting out laughing a few seconds after that.

"What is it?" He asked a little startled.

"It's just that it's been so long since I've been able to sit down and just have a normal conversation with you! This is truly exciting, isn't it?" I replied with a beaming smile on my face. He stared at me for a few seconds before the information finally sank in. He smiled.

"Yes, it truly is." He answered finally.

"Say, Itachi, could I have you run an errand for me, since I have no cloak?" I asked him. He nodded.

"I need you to go grab some groceries for Rarity and I. I'd do it myself, but..." I trailed off looking down at my bare chest. The spell had already worn off.

"Of course," He said standing up. "I'll go right now." I nodded to him and he walked over to the door. Before he could open it, however, I stopped him.

"Hey, Itachi," I called. He looked at me.

"Thank you, for everything." I said. He smiled and nodded.

Finally he opened the door and left the boutique; closing the door behind him. When he was gone I sighed and sat back in the chair. I then stood to my feet and walked up the stairs; where I entered Rarity's room. Rarity was still fast asleep in her bed. The covers rose and fell gently with her breaths. Her face was as peaceful and innocent as can be, and I found myself blushing as I continued to think about her. I smiled and walked over to the bed; sitting down on the side opposite the door. I leaned over and stroked her mane with my left hand. I let my fingers run through the strands of her mane and was amazed at just how soft it was; even despite not being washed for three days. I also found it peculiar that no odor came from her body. Instead I smelled only the sweet aroma of cherries that seemed to follow her around.

"Oh Rarity," I whispered softly as I continued to stroke her mane. "What would I do without you?"

"Aww, that's sweet." I heard a voice say. I turned to face the source and found a shadowed figure sitting in the window; which I thought had been closed a few moments ago.

"Who are you?" I asked suspiciously.

"You don't remember me, Tid?" She asked. As she leaned forward to reveal her image, I was shocked at what I saw.

"Yorokobi? How did you get back here?" I asked her in utter surprise.

"I followed you after you came to the village, honey." She replied as she climbed all the way into the boutique and shut the window behind her.

"So you've been here since then?" I asked her. She shook her head.

"No, I came here a little while after that." She replied.

"Then, how long have you been here?" I asked.

"Hmm, about three weeks. Why?" She asked.

"That's not important; but, why did you come here?"

"Because..." She said; which wasn't much of an answer, but I guessed she wasn't finished.

"Because~?" I urged her. She looked at me with tears in her eyes.

"Because I miss you!" She cried. She ran forward and threw her arms around my neck, sobbing into my chest. I was so surprised and utterly confused I had no idea what to do.

"You... miss me?" I asked. She didn't reply, but continued to sob into my chest. Eventually I managed to lift my arm and stroke her hair in an effort to comfort her. After a few minutes she pried herself from my chest, sniffling with tears running down her cheeks.

"Tid, without you in my life, I feel like I've lost everything. I mean, you were the love of my life. You knew about my temper, and you stayed with me anyway. You loved me too, didn't you?" She asked me.

"Yes," I replied.

"Then... What happened?" She asked earnestly. I hesitated for a moment, unsure of what to say. She took a step forward, her arms outstretched in a pleading gesture.

"Please, tell me. What happened to the two of us?" She implored. She continued to stare at me for a few tense moments. Finally, I gave in.

"To be honest, Yorokobi, I thought you were gone." I replied.

"Gone?" She asked. I nodded.

"You remember that day, don't you? The day I... killed you." I asked her. She didn't say anything, but her eyes were trained on me. She took another step forward and embraced me.

"Tid, that wasn't your fault. It was an accident. You didn't mean to, and you were even saved because of it, right?" She asked.

"Yorokobi, I know it seems like I stopped caring since I came to this world. But, to be honest, I saw you in every one of these ponies." I said. I turned my body and gestured toward Rarity.

"Even her?" Yorokobi asked. I nodded. I turned back to her.

"But then I became the Outer Path, and I didn't blame myself for what had happened anymore. In a way, when I became the Outer Path, it was as if I didn't have to worry about death anymore. I wasn't scared to lose the ones I loved anymore, and that helped me move on."

"Then, you fell for Rarity?" She asked.

"No, I didn't fall for Rarity after I got my new eyes. I fell for her the moment I saw her, just like-"

"Just like me," She finished with wide eyes. I nodded. After that, everything was silent.

"Tid... Do you love her?" Yorokobi asked after a short time. I stared at her with a bit of surprise. She was staring at the ground, her flame-red hair partially shrouding her right eye.

"Yes, I do. I love her with all of my heart." I replied. She looked up at me and surprised me once again with a smile. She was smiling from ear to ear.

"Good! Then take good care of her." She said.

"I'm sorry? I don't quite follow..." I said still dumbfounded. She giggled.

"If you really love her, then I don't feel so bad about losing you. I guess I overreacted earlier. She's really beautiful, and she cares so much about you. Take good care of her, okay?" She said.

"I will," I replied.

"Can I ask one thing, though? And don't say 'you just did'." She warned. I smiled.

So she still remembers that, huh? I thought.

"Of course, Yorokobi."

"I want to live in this world, like you do. There's a lot less conflict here, and I think it would be fun." She said.

"I don't see where the question comes in," I said. She smiled.

"The question is: You'll promise to visit me, right? I want to spend time with you and your girlfriend." She said. I stared at her blankly for a few moments as I tried to register what she had just asked me. Then I smiled at her.

"Of course we will," I replied. She smiled.

"Great! I guess I'll leave then," She said turning back toward the window.

"Yorokobi, wait." I said placing my hand on her shoulder and turning her around.

"What is it?" She asked. Without warning I leaned in and kissed her. This time there was no fire to be absorbed, no temper to settle. Just a kiss. When I broke the kiss I found Yorokobi with wide eyes and a face as red as her hair.

"T-Tid, what was that?" She asked.

"It was a kiss. I know we didn't get to share one when we were dating, and I wanted to know what it would be like to kiss you." I replied. She continued to stare at me with wide eyes for a long time; astounded by what had just happened. Eventually she smiled.

"Well, thank you. I needed that." She said. She turned to the window, opened it, and leapt away. I grinned.

"Rarity would kill me if she found out I did that," I said. I turned to look at her and found that she was still sleeping in the same position. "Don't worry Rarity, it didn't mean anything. I just wanted to make her happy."

A few hours later, I was in the kitchen when Rarity came downstairs. I heard her coming down the stairs and waited for her in the kitchen. I hid out of sight and waited for her to walk in.

"Tid?" I heard her call. I pressed myself against the wall and waited with a beating heart for her to walk into the room. Finally I could hear her hoofsteps approach the kitchen. When she stepped through the archway I ran and scooped her up in my arms, twirling with her and holding her with her arms around my neck.

"Oh my!" She said as I stared into her gorgeous blue eyes.

"How are you feeling, Rarity?" I asked her with a smile. She was blushing hard.

"I'm feeling much better now, thank you dear." She replied. She was still surprised at what just happened.

"I love you so much," I said to her as I continued to hold her. It must've been embarrassing for her as her hooves dangled a short distance from the ground.

"I love you so much too, Tid. Would you mind putting me down?" She asked. I smiled and nodded, putting her back down onto the ground. I kissed her and she blushed even harder. When we broke the kiss she stared at me.

"Oh Tid, it's been far too long since we've been able to share a kiss," She said with a smile.

"Yes, it has. It's all over now, though. We can finally get married." I said to her. Her eyes widened.

"Yes, of course! I had completely forgotten! I guess, in my mind, it was as if we were already married. Oh I simply can't wait!" She exclaimed excitedly.

"Well I have something I need to tell you, so why don't you go get showered and dressed? I'll take you out to eat." I said to her. She nodded. Then we both noticed something that we had overlooked: She was naked. I blushed and turned away before I saw anything prematurely.

"I'm sorry, I had no idea," I said to her. My face was as hot as the flames I controlled.

"I'm sorry too! I had no idea I was naked either! I suppose I took off my cloak at some point while I was alseep, forgive me dear." She said.

"It's fine, I didn't see or feel anything; I just want to make sure the first time I see you naked is after our wedding." I said to her.

"Right, well I'll go get showered!" She said as she was already darting out of the room and up the stairs.

I waited until I heard the bathroom door close to turn around. I sighed, still blushing. I walked into the living room and sat down just as the door exploded. I leapt to my feet and stood with a hardened expression facing the dust cloud that had formed. When it cleared I saw that Robert was standing before me, though he looked different. He had longer, darker hair and black pupils. Everything below his eyes was wrapped in bandages and he held his blade in his left arm. He also seemed livid.

"Where is she?!" He demanded.

"She's upstairs, in her room." I lied with a grin.

"Why are you just telling me where to go?" He asked baffled. I shrugged and continued to stare at him with a grin.

He immediately made an attempt to pass me and head up the stairs, but I held my arm out and stopped him.

"I told you where she was, but I have no intention of letting you go up there." I said.

"And what makes you think you can stop me?" He asked as he narrowed his eyes at me.

"I don't think I can stop you, I know I can." I replied.

"Don't be so cocky," He warned.

"Aww, is the wittle boy mad that his girlfriend was thrown off a cli-"

"Don't insult her name you filth!" He interrupted placing a hand over my mouth. I grabbed his shoulder and wrist, prying his hand off of my mouth.

"Let's not do this here. We need some place... secluded." I said. I used my Mangekyou Rinnegan to look through the eyes of a surviving crow that was somewhere to the south of Ponyville and teleported there. Since I was holding on to Robert, he came with me.

"This should do just nicely," I said releasing him.

(As Rarity)

I had just entered the shower when I heard the door explode. My heart raced at a million miles an hour as I jumped into the air, my mane and tail standing on end. I stood motionless for a time, listening to muffled voices in my living room for a few minutes. When I could no longer hear them, I feared the worst and quickly finished my shower; drying myself and getting dressed before rushing out of the bathroom. I ran down the stairs and was horrified to see that the door to my wondrous boutique had been unhinged! It rested against the kitchen sink, which was slightly cracked from the impact.

"What happened here?" I asked in disbelief.

I ran all over the house searching for my beloved Tid but he was nowhere to be found! I was about ready to head out and ask the others to assist me in finding him when I felt a small length of chain wrap itself around my hind left hoof. I looked down in surprise before I was teleported and whisked into the Badlands. I looked around in astonishment when I noticed that Tid and another figure were facing each other some distance away. A few moments later, I jumped as Twilight, Rainbow, Pinkie, Applejack, Fluttershy, and Itachi all appeared around me.

"Rarity? What's going on here?" Twilight asked me.

"I was about to ask you the same question, Twilight." I replied.

"It looks like Tid and Robert are about to fight," Rainbow Dash said.

"Is that so?" I asked looking ahead. All of a sudden there was another flash of light and we all looked to our right, where we saw Vinyl, Neon Lights, and Octavia Melody standing just a few meters from us.

"Well, this is certainly interesting," I said aloud.

(As Tid)

"Where are your friends Robert? It appears they've abandoned you." I said to him with a smirk.

"Don't get anxious, Tid." He replied; mirroring my expression.

"I'm only anxious to take your life," I said to him.

"You were always the overconfident one," He said. He tilted his head to his left. "They're here." I glanced over my shoulder to see who all was attending and saw that Vinyl, Octavia, and a stallion I had never seen before were doing all they could not to attack my fiance. I clasped my hands together and a stone wall erected itself between the two groups of friends.

A few seconds later yet another stallion I had never seen before had appeared. He held a microphone and seemed absolutely ecstatic about the looming fight.

"This contest is set for one fall! And it is for the EAE Championship!" He shouted into the microphone. He paused at each letter of 'EAE' and just before 'Championship' to add extra emphasis to what he was saying.

"EAE Championship? What the hell is that?" I asked Robert. He didn't answer but smirked under his bandages.

"Ready?" He asked me.

"Always," I replied. We then lunged toward each other, a massive release of energy expanding outwards as we clashed.

We jumped back from each other and stood still; sizing each other up. I raised a hand and motioned for him to attack me, which he did. I changed the course of his punch and saw him about to attack me with his sword. I released a length of chains from my wrist and blocked the blade; another burst of energy surging forth. Without warning I swept his legs from under him and grabbed his head, ready to shove it into the ground. However, before I could slam him into the ground, I felt him disappear from my grasp. I stood up straight and looked around for him. I then noticed a shadow underneath my feet and looked up to see him about to bring his sword down on my head. I jumped to the right and entangled his blade in my chains, pulling hard to try and shatter it.

"If you're trying to break it, it won't work." He said.

I scowled and pulled on my chains, bringing him with them. He turned his blade so that the point was aimed at my body. I quickly shoved the blade downward and punched him in the face, barely phasing him. He disappeared in a flicker and reappeared some distance away. I ran toward him and thrust my fist forward. He blocked my punch with the flat of his blade and I jumped away as he took a swipe at me. As I landed he appeared in front of me and attempted to stab through my chest. I blocked with my chains and we held our positions, his blade putting pressure on my chains.

"You're not going to win with a puny attack like that," I taunted.

"If you want me to go all-out, then I will." He replied. I raised my leg and kicked him in the chest; sending him flying away from me.

(As Rarity)

The others and I watched as Tid and Robert clashed over and over again, neither landing a hit on one another.

"What's going on? Why are their attacks being deflected so easily?" Rainbow Dash asked in confusion.

"Neither of them are using their full power," I replied.

"Why?" She asked.

"Their just sizing each other up right now; trying to find out their strengths, weaknesses, tactics, that sort of thing." Twilight replied. I nodded.

"Don't worry, it'll get interesting as soon as Tid gets serious," I said with full confidence in my fiance.

Robert stood some distance away from me, raising his sword above his head. I prepared my chains for his strike, but he didn't move from the spot. Instead he brought the sword down in front of him and a shockwave was sent flying toward me; strong enough to cut through the solid rock that stood beneath us. My eyes widened and I quickly raised my chains in front of me, barely blocking the wave. I staggered from the sheer force of the impact and when I looked forward again Robert was right in front of me. He brought his sword down on my chains and pushed them toward the ground; causing me to fall forward. I caught myself and lifted my body onto my hands and tried to kick him in the chest for separation. However, he blocked my kick and grabbed my ankle. I then used this as leverage and pulled my body up so that I was sitting up in mid-air. I wrapped my left arm around his head and pulled back with all of my force, applying all of my weight into pulling him face-first into the ground.

I quickly rose to my feet and leapt away from him, panting from the effort. He moved his arms and pushed himself to a vertical base. He didn't have a scratch on him.

What is this guy? I thought to myself.

He stared at me and moved his right arm, drawing some sort of configuration in the air with his fingers. After a few seconds, he placed his palm to the center and a black fog-like energy blasted toward me in a large stream. I quickly weaved hand signs and blew fire to block the stream and continued to blow when they intercepted. For a while the two streams pushed against one another, perfectly even in power. I reached with my left hand into my kunai-pouch and drew out three shuriken, which I threw at him from the left side. He must've noticed because his stream vanished and he deflected the shuriken. I then used the cover of my fire to get in front of him in a fraction of a second. I then thrusted my arm forward and drove my forearm into his face, which sent him stumbling backwards. I quickly opened the First Gate and went low, kicking him in the chin to send him flying into the air. I kicked him repeatedly until we were at least a hundred feet in the air. I then wrapped his body in my chains and latched onto him, pulling us backwards until we were facing the ground then spinning our bodies rapidly. After we impacted the ground, I used my hands to push off of the ground and landed on my feet some distance away, staring into the dust cloud.

I know that didn't do him in, I thought.

A few seconds later I saw Robert standing in the midst of a crater that had been formed from the impact.

"Is that your best shot?" He asked with a smirk.

"Now who's the cocky one? No, I'm just getting started." I replied.

I leapt into the air and unleashed a large amount of chains from my wrists. Robert watched as I began a new technique. I willed the chains to form large spirals around my body, decreasing in diameter as they progressed into the air. I then weaved three hand signs and a puff of smoke engulfed me and my chains. When it dissipated, my chains held shuriken and various other small weapons. I then began to spin the chains in an unpredictable fashion, releasing thousands of blades, shuriken, and kunai and sending them all flying toward Robert. He managed to block them but I wasn't through. As I continued to spin the chains, I also weaved hand signs, performing my Flaming Spear Fusillade jutsu. In addition to the thousands of weapons that were bombarding Robert, the flaming spears each impacted the ground around and underneath him, each exploding with enough force to create a small crater. Black smoke enveloped Robert and I could no longer see his movements. When all of the weapons had been launched, I stopped the spinning of my chains and observed the black smoke cloud; still floating in the air. When it had cleared, I saw that Robert didn't have a single scratch on his body.

"Seems like your attack was pretty pointless," Robert said. I scowled.

"Fine, then take this!" I shouted as I launched my chains toward him. He caught them in his hand. I grinned.

"You're going to regret doing that," I murmured.

My chains then proceeded to wrap themselves around his arm and all around his body.

"You think this will harm me?" He taunted.

Just then my chains revealed the several thousand explosive tags attached to them. His eyes widened and I snapped my fingers, each of the explosive tags detonating simultaneously. I landed on the ground and smirked as I took note of the massive crater formed from all of the explosions. When the black smoke cloud dissipated, however, I was astonished to see that that attack had no effect whatsoever.

"It seems you're more durable than you look," I said to him with a frown.

"Yes, it does. Now, it's my turn." He replied.

In a fraction of a second he was in front of me, his blade ready to cut me in half. Luckily my chains had fallen at my side and I quickly raised them into the path of the blade in an effort to impede its progress. However, before the blade struck, Robert disappeared in a flicker and I was left wondering where he had gone. Before I had time to look around, however, I recieved a powerful punch to the temple and was sent flying some distance before landing painfully hard on the ground. I could feel a warm liquid oozing from the corner of my mouth and I didn't need to look down to know what it was. I stood to my feet and wiped the blood from my mouth, scowling at the man that had just punched me around like a punching bag.

"Come on, get serious. If you don't attack me seriously, I'll just cut through you and then go after that bitch of a wife you have," He said. I raised my head when I heard this; my vision snapped into focus.

"Did I hear you correctly?" I asked as I clenched my fists.

"Hmm?"

"Did I hear you just insult my fiance?" I asked. I could feel my rage building. The ground around me began to shake.

"Yes, you did. You can't defeat me, so I'lljust end your life and then move on to hers." He replied launching himself at me. He took a swipe meant to end my life, but I caught his blade in my hand.

I clenched it hard and looked him dead in the eyes.

"You can insult me all you want, but the moment you slander her name..." I said clenching my right fist even harder. "I'll kill you!" I shouted.

I raised my right hand and punched him in the face, my fist alight with flames. He was sent flying backwards and skipped along the ground before coming to a complete stop. I then let out a scream of rage, flames shooting high into the air around me. I opened the Seventh Gate and stared at Robert with fierce eyes. I launched myself toward him, the ground underneath my feet shattering with enough force to rise into the air a small distance as I pushed off. Before he could even blink I was in front of him, my skin red and my body surrounded with instense flames. I punched him square in the face and followed it up with a kick to the chest. I then followed his body as it flew through the air and twisted my body and delivered a devastating kick to his mid-section; which drove him into the ground and caused him to cough up a small amount of blood. I stood above him as he lay coughing on the ground.

"I'll put an end to your miserable life right now," I said as I raised my foot above his head.

I brought it down with as much force as I could muster but my foot only crushed the solid ground. I looked over my shoulder and saw Robert standing a few meters away and favoring his mid-section. I threw my chains at him and he deflected them with his blade. I then positioned myself behind him and wrapped my still-flaming arms around his neck; trying to choke him out. After a few seconds I was blasted away by a dark energy that had suddenly surrounded his body. He turned around and formed a rune-like formation in the air. When he pressed his palm to it, spires of a pitch-black material shot up around me. I quickly moved my body but my left arm was pierced by a spire, drawing blood. I winced and favored my arm, blood dripping through my fingers and watering the ground at my feet. The flames that surrounded my body extinquished and I launched myself at Robert, ignoring my injury. I punched him in the stomach, continuing my attack on his mid-section, and was about to folow it up with an elbow to the back of the head when I felt a sharp pain in my side. I looked down to see that he had managed to drive his sword through a portion of my mid-section; though he missed any vital organs.

I managed to bring my knee up and knee'd him in the face. I then grabbed his left arm and pulled the sword out of my body. I hardly had time to react, however, as I was met with an all-out punch to the face and was sent flying backwards.

He's moving too fast for my Mangekyou Rinnegan to be of any use. I thought disdainfully. I could see his attacks, but I couldn't react fast enough; even in the Seventh Gate.

Just then, I heard a familiar voice shout something.

"Don't let him push you around like this, dear! I know you have more power than this!" Rarity shouted. I looked to my left and saw Rarity eagerly cheering me on. I smiled and landed on my feet, having been in mid-air a few seconds before.

"Right, I'll take care of this bastard; just sit back and watch my dear." I said.

I looked back to Robert and saw him drawing another configuration in the air. I threw a kunai at the configuration but it simply bounced off as if it were a solid object. When Robert placed his hand to the center four large walls shot up around me; seeming to put themselves together like a puzzle. Finally a roof covered the structure and I was completely encased in utter darkness. I ignited my body, which gave me some light to see with. I could see the light touching the black structure and it seemed to be absorbed by it. I drew my arm back and began punching the wall in front of me, though it seemed to have no effect.

"It's useless," I heard Robert say. "You'll never be able to break that; no matter how hard you try. You're stuck in there. I win."

"Like hell I'd let you win!" I shouted as I continued to punch the walls, seemingly in vain. He laughed at me.

"Face it, you've lost, Tid. And while you're stuck in there, I'll go ahead and kill your wife."

When I heard that I drew my arm back and punched with all of the force I could muster. I heard a sound that sounded like armor cracking and continued to punch with all of my strength. Finally, I shattered the wall and used my Mangekyou Rinnegan to teleport outside of the structure. I looked toward the cliff that Rarity and the others stood on and saw Robert flying toward it. I focused on a point just in front of Rarity and I used my Mangekyou Rinnegan to teleport there. I appeared just in front of Rarity and I drew my arm back. Robert was flying too fast to stop in time and I punched him in the face; sending him flying back to the area in which we had been fighting before.

"Tid, take my Path Power," Rarity said to me. I looked over my soulder and smiled at her.

"Thanks Rarity, but that won't be neccessary. I can beat him as I am now." I replied.

"Are you sure?" She asked.

"Oh come now, have you already lost your faith in my abilities? What happened to 'you have more power than this'?" She looked at me for a few seconds and then smiled.

"You're entirely right, dear. Go get him." She said. I nodded and teleported back to the battlefield.

When I reappeared I saw Robert standing tall, a configuration being drawn before him. When he had finished, he placed his palm to the center and the black fog-like energy flew toward me once more. I weaved hand signs and blew fire at it, just as I had done before.

Are we doing this again? I thought.

However, this time, when the flames and the energy collided, the energy completely blew apart my flames. My eyes widened just before the energy crashed into my body, enveloping me in a posionous and ice-cold cloud of energy. I winced with pain as the energy continued to bombard my body from all directions. I tried to ignite my body, but the energy just ate through the flames.

Even my flames don't work on this? I thought in fear.

I managed to open my right eye and saw Robert walking toward me through a darkened rendering of the world. As the energy continued to bombard me, I could feel it starting to pierce my skin in some places and a venomous sting followed just after.

I have to escape this, and quickly. I thought in desperation.

I continued to watch as Robert drew closer and closer, raising his sword above his head and preparing to bring it down in a blow that would no doubt rip me in two. Then an idea came to me. I concentrated and my Susano'o took form around my body, dispelling the darkness. He took a step back at the sudden appearance of this ethereal warrior. He drew another configuration and more dark energy flew toward me. I unraveled the scroll, unsure of whether or not it would absorb the energy, and tossed it into the air. To my pleasure, the scroll absorbed all of the black energy and returned to my Susano'o's hand. The blade that my Susano'o held was enveloped in a pitch-black aura and I raised my hand high into the air, my Susano'o mimicking the move. I then brought my hand down and the Susano'o brought its sword down on the area that Robert had been. I looked around and saw Robert floating in front of my Susano'o's face. I reached up and grabbed him in my Susano'o's lower left hand and drew my right arm back, my Susano'o preparing to pierce Robert with the still-aura-surrounded blade. I thrust my arm forward and my Susano'o did the same.

Just before the blade could pierce through Robert, however, Robert disappeared in a flicker. I looked around for him and suddenly felt myself being lifted by my armpits into the air and out of my Susano'o. I looked over my shoulder and attempted to elbow him in the face, but he dodged it. I then ignited my body and he let go. I landed on the ground and became enveloped in my Susano'o once more.

"Let's end this," I said. I then concentrated and poured an incredible amount of chakra into my Susano'o.

I felt myself rise into the air and I found myself in the middle of my Incomplete Susano'o.

(As Rarity)

We watched as used his Tid to counter the dark energy that had enveloped him. I breathed a sigh of relief.

"Whoa, Tid has one of those too?" Rainbow asked. I nodded.

"Rarity, do you have one?" She asked me. I looked at her in confusion.

"What do you mean?" I asked her.

"Well you're a- look at that!" She shouted pointing into the air. I looked back and saw Tid being lifted into the air by Robert.

"Oh my," I said covering my mouth with one hoof.

Tid then ignited his body and fell back into his Susano'o. A few seconds later I saw his Susano'o expand and grow much larger. I looked on as I recognized his Imperfect Susano'o.

"Whoa! What the hay is that thing?!" Rainbow shouted.

"Oh my," Fluttershy said.

"You haven't seen anything yet," I said with a slight grin.

"Huh? What in the hay are you talkin' about?" Applejack asked.

"You'll see," I replied.

(As Tid)

Robert stood in the air before me and looked with an unwavering expression at my Incomplete Susano'o. I clasped my hands together and focused the chakra in my Incomplete Susano'o.

"This," I said to Robert as I lifted my arms in a fashion to show off my Susano'o. "Is my Complete Susano'o!"

"Am I supposed to be impressed?" He asked cockily. I laughed.

"Just watch!" I said. I unsheathed the massive blade that accompanied my Susano'o and it sent a massive shockwave in Robert's direction. He raised his sword and managed to deflect it.

I raised the sword above my head and brought it down on Robert, but he dodged it. I used the Susano'o's second pair of arms to weave hand signs and blow a massive cyclone of fire at Robert. I watched as Robert was enveloped in the intense flames. I grinned and stopped blowing; confident that the fire was enough to defeat him. However, when the flames subsided, Robert was still standing in the air before me, completely unscathed.

"What?!" I exclaimed in baffled surprise.

"Like I said, am I supposed to be impressed?" He replied.

"Fine! Then I'll just have to up the temperature!" I shouted in anger.

I weaved hand signs and blew fire at him once more; but this time the flames were much more intense. I poured as much chakra as I could into the technique, the flames becoming hotter and hotter with every second. Unfortunately, this was eating up my chakra at an astounding rate. I finally stopped the jutsu, panting very heavily from my chakra consumption. The fire subsided and I saw that Robert actually had burn marks on his skin.

"I'll admit, that was a very powerful attack you just did. However, it wasn't enough to beat me." He said.

I scowled but at that moment my Susano'o vanished and I fell to the ground, landing on my feet. I continued to pant, falling to one knee. Robert floated down calmly to the ground.

"You're pathetic. That was your best shot, and you still couldn't defeat me." He said.

"You're one to talk. When I was inside of my Complete Susano'o, you couldn't even touch me." I replied. He smirked.

"I didn't even attack you," He said.

I stood to my feet, the Seventh Gate still blazing at full power.

"Don't underestimate my true power," I warned.

"Then bring it," He said motioning me to come forth with his right hand.

I launched myself at him and instantly moved to a position behind him. He looked over his shoulder and took a swipe at me, but I was in front of him. Without looking he aimed a punch at my face, but I leaned to my left and dodged it. I then grabbed his arm and flipped him into the air. I jumped after him and shattered the ground underneath my feet as I did so. I moved above him and twisted my body to deliver a kick to his mid-section, but he managed to block. However, when he did so, I saw he had incredible difficulty in redirecting my kick.

"Ah, so your weakness is physical combat, eh?" I said with a grin.

He scowled and I turned my body, using the momentum from my kick to punch him in the chest. He was sent crashing into the ground and I brought my foot down on him as I landed on the ground. This caused more cracks to form in the ground and dust to shoot into the air. He coughed up blood and I smirked. Suddenly, however, the Seventh Gate shut itself and I felt the full effects of exhaustion on my body due to the amount of energy and chakra I had expended. I collapsed on the ground and continued to pant heavily.

"Why don't we call this a tie," Robert said through heavy breaths.

"Yeah right. I would've killed you if I had any chakra left," I replied. He chuckled.

"Still the overconfident one, I see." He said.

"Whatever. I'll defeat you once and for all one of these days," I said.

"Oh you can try, but you'll never succeed. I will get your wretched wife, however."

"No, you won't. You'll always have to go through me, and I'd sooner let hell freeze over than let you at my wife." I replied. Then I noticed I said 'wife' instead of 'fiance'. I burst out laughing a few seconds later.

"That's right, she's my wife." I murmured quietly to myself with a smile. That's when I heard hoofsteps and footsteps quickly approaching me. I turned my head to the left and saw Rarity, Pinkie, Rainbow, Applejack, Twilight, Fluttershy, and Itachi all running over to me.

"Tid! Are you alright?" Rarity asked as she knelt down next to me.

"Yeah. I took a beating, but I'm not going to die this time." I replied with a smile. She picked me up and held me in her arms.

"Good, because I can't loose you again." She said. I raised my arms and wrapped them weakly around her.

"Don't worry, I'll never leave you ever again. Just like I promised." I said. She held me a short distance away and smiled down at me.

"Come on, let's get you to a hospital." She said.

"No, that won't be neccessary. It's only a few scratches, no broken bones. It won't take more than a day to recover from these wounds." I replied.

"Alright, but let me perform some medical ninjutsu on you," Twilight said.

I nodded and Rarity set me down. Twilight walked over to me and knelt beside me, placing her hooves a few inches from my chest. As Twilight was healing my wounds I saw that Octavia, the stallion, and Vinyl were all running over to Robert, who had fallen silent.

"Robert, wake up," I heard Vinyl say as she shook his body. Robert, however, didn't make a sound.

"Don't worry, he's not dead. The poor bastard probably just passed out or something," I said.

"How do you know?" Vinyl asked in anger.

"Because I ran out of chakra before I could've ended his life," I replied simply. She didn't reply to this.

When my wounds were healed, I sat up and Rarity helped me to stand to my feet.

"Come on dear, let's get you home. I'll make you a new cloak." She said with a smile. I nodded to her and smiled back. I took one last glance at Robert before teleporting everyone back to the Carousel Boutique.

"Well, that was eventful," Twilight said when everything had settled down.

"Yes, it certainly was," Rarity agreed.

"Well we should be going. We'll let you two... have your time." Rainbow said. Rarity blushed and the rest of us laughed. After that everyone else left, leaving Rarity and I alone together. I turned to her.

"Thank you Rarity, for offering to make me a new cloak." I said to her.

"Oh it's no trouble at all my dear. I should start working on that right now, though." She replied. I nodded and kissed her. She smiled when we broke the kiss and immediately hurried off to her room. I smiled as I watched her.

"Hopefully nothing else happens before I marry her," I said aloud. Then I noticed the door was still broken. "Oh yeah, there's that too." I breathed a sigh and immediately set to work in repairing it.
