Ho, Ho, Ho, Raymoney here and since you all have been such good boys and girls here's another installment of the kin of Superman and Wonder Woman,I bet you can take a guess what time it is in this story, huh ha ha. Alright let's get started.

Chapter 8

You know I don't care what the carolers or crooners sing about nothing is greater than holiday time in Metropolis, the city blocks are decorated nicely, the spirit of giving is in the air, hell even the crime goes down this time of the year, yup it's just perfect, and what makes it even more perfect is celebrating my first one with my loving parents.

I walked into the kitchen to be greeted by my mother.

"Good morning, Georgios."

She was busy putting up the tinsel around our apartment.

"Hey mom, do you want me to help you?"

"Sure thing."

We were getting the tinsel and the rest of the decorations up.

"I'd say this place looks nice, wouldn't you Georgios?"

"Yeah, we did a good job, you know it's funny I didn't think Amazons celebrated Christmas."

"Well, normally Amazons don't but you can blame your father for my holiday spirit, we started celebrating a while back and now it became our thing."

"Oh, alright."

"OK, now all we need is your father to bring the tree home later today and we can put the ornaments on it."

"I may have few from when I lived with Kara, I'll see if she still has them."

Rather than flying, I decided to walk to my cousins new apartment, granted it wasn't the best but she was relieved she found a place of her own. Unfortunately, she hasn't been herself since the kryptonite incident a couple of months ago she's been pretty depressed it hurts me to see her like that but, I'm hoping mom, dad and I can cheer her up before the new year.

I pressed the buzzer for her complex and was meet with her voice on the speaker.

"Yeah?"

"It's Georgios."

"Hold on, I'll buzz you in."

And with one loud, long buzz,I was let in to see my cousin, now let's see 4-H, 4-H, 4-H, as here we go, I then knocked on the door.

Kara opened the door and I saw that she looked blue, her blonde hair was messy and she was in her pajamas, she gave me a small, fake smile.

"Hey."

"Hey, uh I was wondering do we still have any ornaments from our previous holidays."

"Oh, uh yeah, they're in a storage unit, let me get you the directions."

An idea popped into my mind, looking into this small place

"You know you can come with me to get them."

"Are you sure that's a good idea?"

"Oh come on, we'll get the ornaments out of storage and grab a bite to eat, my treat."

Kara then changed her mind.

"Sure, alright just let me get changed."

Well,I was able to get her out of that apartment, so that was a small victory.

When we got to the storage unit it didn't take us too long to find what we were looking for, we got the boxes out of storage and sorted out the ornaments and like I promised the food was on me, it was nothing special, just some fast food still it was nice to be with her again.

She then started talking to me.

"How's your freshman year going?"

"Good, mostly A's and B's."

"And your job?"

"Also good, Ms. Lane says if I keep it up I'll be on the fast track to have an article published in the Daily planet."

"Great! Let me know when you do so I can keep am eye out for it."

"Will do."

I then turned the conversation to this time of the year.

"Hey Kara, since I'm doing my Christmas shopping soon is there anything I should look out for you."

"How about you just get me something to get rid of pests in my place, alright?"

"Oh come on, you've been like a mother and a sister to me my whole life, it's not a merry Christmas if all I get you are a few pesticides."

"Look Georgios, I know you're worried about me,but don't kill yourself about me it's my job to worry about you."

"Everyone needs a little help once in a while even Kryptonians."

We finished our meal and I went home with the ornaments.

About a couple of weeks it was time to get my gift shopping out of the way, let's see I got a new laptop for dad and right now I was standing in line at the mall to get a book signed from mystery author, Gene O'Malley he is my mom's favorite author. When I got to the front of line he talked to me.

"OK, who am I making this out to?"

"Diana Prince."

"Odd name for a boy."

"Oh no, I'm sorry my name is Georgios, and this is for my mother, you're her favorite."

"Alright, well how about I write merry Christmas Diana from Gene O'Malley and your son Georgios."

"Great, she'll love it!"

OK mom's done, now I have to shop for Kara, hopefully it won't be too hard. Oh wait, hold on a minute, I passed a curio shop that specializes in well "alien artifacts"most of them are complete crap but once in a while they do have genuine items. I passed by their window and I saw a locket with Kryptonian writing on it, I remember Kara told me she had a locket like this back on Krypton maybe it's the gods giving me a sign.

I then entered the shop and was greeted by the owner, she was a woman in her late twenties.

"Hello, can I help you find something?"

"Um yes, I'm looking at this locket."

"Oh that, my father worked for the government back in the day, he found it in an alien travel pod no one could decipher it or even open it, so it's been sitting on our shelf for a long time."

That's obvious Kryptonian artifacts aren't the same as earth trinkets so no wonder it's a mystery to her, still I'm 98% sure that this was Kara's and she would love this as a gift.

"Well it's beautiful, I know my cousin would love it, how much do you want for it?"

"Since your getting it as a gift for someone let's say $50."

"Alright, you got yourself a deal."

I paid the nice lady and was on my way.

"Would you like it gift wrapped sir?"

"Not yet I need to do something first."

When I got back home with the locket, I went home and went into a box of photos on my nightstand, one of the only things that survived the whole Doomsday incident and I found what the one I was looking for it was Kara in her Supergirl getup and she was holding me as a newborn,I had to trim up the edges of the picture a little but luckily it fit perfectly, I then opened the locket and and put the picture in it. I then noticed an engraving on the and the last name by the person was Zor-El yes, my suspicion was right this belonged to Kara. Alright, after cleaning it up for I'd say a good twenty minutes it was ready to be gifted, I put it in a little box, wrapped it up and called Kara.

"Hello?"

"Hey Kara,I was wondering if you wanted to come over on Christmas?"

"I think I could stop in."

"Great!"

Christmas then came along and my while we opened our gifts to each others gifts,a knock was then heard on our door, I opened it to see no other than Kara.

"Hey cousin."

"Hey Georgios, well I'm here, so why do you want me here?"

"Come on, take a seat in the kitchen and close your eyes, I have a surprise for you."

"Alright."

She did exactly as I requested of her, I then took my gift to her out from under the tree and placed it in front of her.

"OK, open your eyes."

She opened them.

"What is this?"

"Open it, you'll see."

She looked at me suspiciously but opened it up, her face then lit up when she saw what was in the box.

"Oh my God! I can't believe you found this!"

"Hey, what can I say, you're family, I'll always try to make you happy."

She then got out of her chair and gave me a big hug.

"Thank you, Georgios, merry Christmas."

"Merry Christmas, Kara."
