***Start***

Killua sat at the harbour, terribly jittery. He kept shaking his leg, restlessly watching the horizon. It's been 3 days. 3 days! 3 days and Gon wasn't back yet. What if something happened to the boy? The boy had no common sense at times. When Gon set his mind to do something, to save someone, he often neglected all reason and put himself into the most dangerous of situations. Killua was very familiar with that pattern of action. After all, he was the reasonable one and always tried to snap Gon out of it. Gon never ever listened though! He would go right ahead and worry the heck out of Killua, and though Gon was always lucky enough to miraculously survive, Killua knew you only needed one failure to die.

And he was tired of that never ending rollercoaster ride. Perhaps Gon had no sense of danger or fear, living in a sheltered environment pampered by everyone, but Killua was raised the other way, forced to distrust, to avoid, to survive. He always gave in to Gon, but who was the one in pain when things went awry? It was Killua, who had to watch his friend nearly die so many times. He'd regret not stopping Gon, but the stubborn boy never allowed anyone to stop him anyways.

Killua felt frustrated and helpless tears spring into his eyes. He didn't want to lose Gon. He wanted the boy to listen to him more. Weren't they friends? Wasn't it natural to rely on one another?

Or was it all his fault? That he wasn't persuasive enough. And maybe he was making a wrong decision to not go to the island. Perhaps Gon was miles away, lying on the ground, whispering for Killua to save him.

Killua gripped the fabric on his pants, biting his lip hard. Surely he was overthinking things like he tended to do? He always thought of the worst case scenario afterall, unlike optimistic Gon who felt everything would be alright in the end.

"Although your crying face is rather fetching, I think your smiling face is much more beautiful."

"Hisoka."

Killua wiped harshly at his tears, embarrassed that the clown had caught him crying once more. "What are you doing here?"

"I was worried about you," The famous pedophile crooned, sitting down beside the young boy.

"Hisoka, you know I don't trust you. We have the same nen type. We're liars," Killua snorted in slight disbelief.

"Hmm," Hisoka smiled lightly, using a thumb to wipe at a tear at the corner of Killua's eyes. "Sometimes truths are more effective than lies at achieving objectives."

Killua turned his head away, leaning away from Hisoka's touch. Hisoka wasn't so easily discouraged though.

"I have a present for a sad little bird," Hisoka smirked, taking out a box of chocolate. Killua gasped, eyes brightening with delight instantly. That part of him was still so child like that Hisoka couldn't help chuckling.

"What if it's poisoned?" Hisoka asked lightly as the boy started drooling, leaning in to be closer to his addiction.

"I'm immune to it, idiot. And I doubt you'd play such a dirty trick," Killua snatched the box forcibly, and begun to unwrap a piece, plopping it in his mouth. He moaned with delight as the luscious chocolate melted on his tongue. Hisoka gulped, eyes glued to the little pink tongue that darted out to lick chocolate stained fingers. If that little tongue was at... No no no. He had to control himself.

Hisoka coughed, and those bright eyes were on him instantly. Hisoka had to suppress a little shiver. "Well, that's what you should be doing. Enjoying your childhood like a kid. There's no need to grow up so fast and worry your pretty little head so much."

Hisoka reached over to pat that pretty little head.

Killua smirked, "But I'd never ripen then. Are you sure?"

Hisoka smiled, surprising Killua with his adult like charisma. Even Killua had to admit that the man was handsome, when those full lips stretched and those seductive eyes glimmered. Killua had to look away, pushing down a blush. No one every looked at him that way before.

"Silly boy. You know what you've always called me."

"Huh?" Killua blinked in confusion.

"A pedophile," Hisoka joked. Killua shoved him playfully in jest as Hisoka lamented, "Ah, if only the children of the world never grew up like in neverland! The mysterious contours of their body, slender, soft and supple!"

"Pervert!" Killua accused. "I'm leaving!"

"Do you feel better now?" Hisoka asked gently, surprising Killua again. Killua thought about it for a bit. All his negative feelings had flown away. He nodded unsurely, and continued to eat his chocolates.

"Some members of the spiders are there as well to find an ancient artifact. Nobunaga wouldn't let anything happen to Gon, he's fond of him," Hisoka soothed, divulging info. He had secretly told the spider about Gon's presence, who became super enthused to recruit the boy. It ensured that Hisoka's goal of Gon's protection and Killua's concern were met.

"Why are you telling me this...? I might tell Kurapika," Killua mumbled around a mouthful of chocolate.

"I'm rather fond of you, you see," Hisoka grinned. "Oh, you have some chocolate on your cheek. What a messy eater."

"H-huh?" Killua reached up to rub it off, only to find his wrist grabbed by Hisoka, and a warm wet sensation on his cheek...

The perverted clown had the audacity to lick him!

"You...! You...!"

"I?" Hisoka teased.

"Pervert!" Killua flushed darkly, pushing Hisoka off the harbour into the water. Hisoka let him. Killua stuck his tongue out childishly at the smirking man, running off.

"Ahh... He's so amusing," Hisoka commented to himself as he slicked back his wet hair. What a fun toy he's found.
