Heartless, ya didn't do anything, really. My computer just froze on me, and it wasn't your fault. Plus, I don't blame ya, cause you and I are friends.
Carpet Diem Part 2
Upstairs, Dipper, Candy, and Brenda are playing a board game where you wait for a boys call. Right now, Brenda is talking through the phone.
"Oh, Kevin. You sound so manly." said Brenda dreamily.
"Kevin sounds like a robot to me." said Dipper awkwardly.
"Don't blow this for me, Dipper. I mean...Mabel...or whatever. Ya know, it's kinda getting creepy when I'm looking at myself."
"Yeah." said Candy uncomfortable. "Maybe we should switch back to our original bodies."
"Giving up already? Bets never last long." said Dipper disappointed. "Although, I admit, it does feel creepy being in a girl's body."
Dipper, Brenda, and Candy go downstairs into the hidden room. But when they get there, they find that the rug is gone.
"AH!" they screamed in fright.
"Where's the carpet?! It was just here!" shouted Dipper in panic. "What happened while we were gone?!"
"Mabel! Keep quiet in there!" shouted Stan from the living room. "I'm trying to watch TV, and I can't concentrate with you shouting about that old carpet! If you're wondering where it is, I threw it out!" Dipper, Brenda, and Candy are shocked. "It's trash day today, too! So it's on its way to the junkyard right now!"
Brenda gives Dipper a stern look and says "'Let's spend the rest of the day in each others bodies' you say, 'Better understand each others perspectives' you say, 'It'll be fun' you say. You know you're an idiot sometimes, right?"
"For some reason...I don't feel guilty about this at all. If it was a life or death situation, I probably would be guilty to the core." said Dipper awkwardly.
"Let's not argue about this, guys. We gotta find that rug." said Candy.
"Don't worry about it. We just gotta dig into the garbage, and look for the rug."
At the front of the shack, Dipper, Mabel, Sous, Wendy, Candy, Brenda, and Waddles all look into the garbage cans for the rug. But they find nothing.
"Okay. I guess the garbageman already picked up the garbage here." said Dipper.
Sheriff Blubs and Deputy Dur-land walk up to the gang and Blubs says "We've been told that a couple of teenagers were digging into garbage cans on trash day, and apparently I did not expect them to be you guys."
"Blubs? Dur-land? Did you see a garbage truck drive by here?" asked Mabel. "Because we can't find the rug we left out here."
"Oh, sure." said Dur-land. "It drove right up to the junkyard. Ya wanna to take ya there?"
"That would be awesome, dudes." said Sous. "I just spent the rest of the day exercising, and I'm pretty sure I lost 5 of my pounds."
"Those are MY pounds, Sous!" said Wendy annoyed.
"Wait a second. Are you guys inside each others bodies? If you are, don't tell me how. Let me guess: Was it that carpet?" asked Blubs.
"Yep." said the teens.
"In that case, now we HAVE to get that rug! Come on, let's go!"
At the junkyard, Dipper, Mabel, Sous, Wendy, Candy, Brenda, Blubs, Dur-land, and Waddles find the carpet at the top of a huge junk pile.
"Who wants to try to climb that first?" asked Dipper. Everyone looks at him. "What? Are you expecting me to climb with Mabel's noodle arms?" Mabel smacks Dipper on the back of the head. "Ow!"
"Very nice, wise guy." said Mabel annoyed by the comment. "Just climb up there and get it."
"Must feel weird smacking yourself in the back of the head." said Dipper climbing up the pile. "I hope this pile has a nice view of the town." Dipper reaches the top of the pile and looks towards the town. "Nope. I thought not."
Dipper picks up the carpet, but loses his balance and starts falling down the pile. He bumps into the gang, and they fall into a pile of their own.
"This is not my idea of a good time." said Dipper irritated.
"Ugh. Now I know how Wendy feels about being on the bottom of a pile." said Sous, who is under his own body, which Wendy is in.
Dipper gets up, unrolls the rug, and he, Mabel, Sous, Wendy, Candy, and Brenda form a circle on it.
"Alright. Change back in 3...2...1!" said Dipper, as everyone touches each other and a shock wave happens. Everyone is back in their own body. "Ah. Feels good to finally stretch out my own muscles."
"Good. Because I was trying to lift a huge rock with them." said Mabel. "Apparently, you're really strong. You could take down Gideon and Robbie with one single blow."
"I know, right."
"So, are you still considering getting your own room?" asked Wendy.
Dipper looks at Mabel, who is giving him the puppy dog eyes, trying to get him to stay in the attic. Dipper tries to look away, but he can't resist.
He sighs and says "Alright. To tell you all the truth, I didn't really want to get my own room." Everyone looks at him in shock. "I mean, don't get me wrong, having my own room would be awesome. It's just that...I sorta miss Mabel and me doing things together. Ya know, just the two of us. Then she got her own friends, and I'm just left with a girlfriend, which isn't bad, I just feel like Mabel and I are becoming third wheels around each other."
Mabel gets tears in her eyes, hugs Dipper, and says "You really are the best big brother in the world."
"Flattering. Very flattering." said Dipper returning the hug.
"So what are you gonna do with that secret room?" asked Candy.
"Maybe I can give it to Sous to replace his painful break room. I mean, who sleeps with a furnace?"
"Aw. Thanks, dude." said Sous, giving Dipper a hug.
"Don't I get to join in on the hug?" said Wendy joining in. Candy, Brenda, and Waddles join in too.
"You guys are such softies." said Dipper jokingly, while scratching Waddles behind the ears.
"Let's give em a few moments alone, Deputy." said Blubs, leaving the junkyard with Dur-land behind him.
End of chapter. Still sick, still taking advantage of being sick and updating story. I'll see you all in February for Boys Crazy. So until then. Ciao.
