AN: So. Today's already been interesting. Hanging out with friends again. Not as many this time, though. Had to deal with a bit of...well, awkwardness. We divided our numbers in half today, thankfully. Not as hectic that way.
Still, I'm worried about a few of my friends. Just...there's reasons, but I'm not going to say, as it's their stories, not mine, and I'm not going to betray them like that. I just worry too easily. They've made me feel like a parent this weekend, and I guess, since their characters are technically either an old colony of England's or actually England's child. It's weird.
To those who reviewed:
Spamano4ever: I'm glad as well. It's nice to be able to write stuff like that. Got it.
ThatRandomReview: They're still going to be in the story. It's just they play a certain role in the story. They're mostly seen when something's either already happened or is about to. There are a few times where it's during the middle of something going on. But it just serves as a reminder to everyone that even when things are tough that there's hope. It's this corny as hell thing that someone told me last Halloween when I made a off hand comment about someone wearing angel wings at school when we were allowed to dress up for Halloween. I feel quite happy about it. And they've promised they'd stop. So..I hope. I drew a butterfly on their wrists. And I am so sorry. I know that's tough.
Luvrainluv: Thanks. I hope. Because no one should ever feel that bad about themselves. It's not right. Lovino is kinda like a rolemodel, because even in the show, where he hardly smiles, he's still strong after being abandoned like he had been by his nonno because his brother was the favorite. You know that had to be hard. I'm so proud of him. I just had to portray that here somehow. He loves it, because it lets him know that Antonio doesn't think down about him after learning about his past. It's something that comforts him, you know?
Enjoy.
The following morning, Lovino was greeted with a phone call. He wasn't even up yet when his phone went off. He groaned, rolling over and grabbing the offending device, glaring at it before he answered. "Ciao."he greeted, voice rather icy.
It took a total of two seconds for Lovino to shoot up from where he was still laying and snap out. "What the hell do you want, bastard?"
Silence surrounded Lovino after that for a while. He could hear the others moving now, so he knew they were up and getting ready for the day ahead. However, he didn't move. He couldn't bring himself to.
Not even two minutes into what was being said, Lovino hung the phone up and threw it across the room so it hit the wall with a resounding noise.
Feliciano showed up at his door not long after that. He frowned at his brother, who had curled into a ball, face hidden against his knees. "Lovi...?"he asked.
The frightened yelp that came from his brother startled him quite a bit.
"Lovino, what's wrong?!"Feliciano said, moving to sit beside his brother and pull him into a hug. He wasn't used to his brother acting like this anymore. It was something he'd never gotten used to. He didn't know how to deal with this.
Lovino automatically uncurled and allowed his brother to hold him for a bit. Then he pushed against his shoulder. "Let m'go."he grumbled.
Feliciano frowned, but released his brother. "Are you alright?"he asked.
Lovino nodded, pushing himself back up and glancing around to find his phone before he got up and grabbed it.
Feliciano watched him before getting up. "Get ready. We have to leave for school soon."he said softly.
Lovino watched as his brother disappeared, closing the door behind him. He wasn't used to seeing him act so mature and put together. It wasn't something he could ever get used to, he didn't think.
It took him about twenty minutes to get everything put together and get himself ready and head into the kitchen.
Gilbert gave him a searching look before he spoke. "What's going on, Lovino?"
Lovino shook his head tiredly and grabbed a bit of food before looking at the Prussian. He huffed.
Gilbert raised an eyebrow at his friend's behaviour. "What's the matter?"
"Nothing."Lovino mumbled.
The walk to school for them was awkwardly silent. Lovino stayed lost in thought, and Feliciano was too worried to speak, since his brother was acting weirdly.
First thing when they made it to the school, before they made it past the snow-covered quad, Antonio ran up and wrapped Lovino in a hug.
Lovino made a surprised noise in the back of his throat, but curled into himself a bit in the Spaniard's embrace.
Antonio frowned at this motion. It was something that Lovino had never done before. "Hey, what's wrong, love?"
Lovino shook his head, mumbling something quietly.
Feliciano watched this, worry clear in his eyes.
Antonio looked to the younger Italian for answers.
Feliciano shrugged. "I don't know. He was curled into himself this morning when I went to make sure he was up since he wasn't moving. His phone had been thrown across the room, so I suppose he got some bad news this morning, but he never would say anything about it."he offered. "I don't know what's wrong."
Antonio sighed. "Right. You guys go ahead and head in. I'll bring Lovino in when he allows me to move."
Feliciano nodded and walked with the other two into the building, letting Antonio turn his attention back to Lovino, who was clinging to him.
Antonio frowned and carefully shifted so he could pull the Italian onto his back.
Lovino shifted his grip so that it was around Antonio's neck and allowed himself to be carried inside.
As soon as Antonio stopped, Lovino got down so the Spaniard could sit down.
What worried the others was that Lovino didn't sit until Antonio pulled him down and into his lap gently.
Raivis frowned and spoke up. "Lovino? You okay?"
Lovino glanced at him before laying his head down against Antonio's shoulder and letting his eyes close, blocking everything else out.
Raivis looked over at Toris with a worried frown, but the Lithuanian only shook his head in response. "He'll be okay."he mumbled.
Antonio glanced up at them, wrapping his arms tighter around Lovino.
That morning had to be one of the hardest ones for the group. Most of them were worried about Lovino. The others were just trying to stay out of the way.
Still, they weren't used to things being like this anymore. They had fallen out of routine with things like this.
Here ya go. Enjoy. Now I gotta go get some sleep.
