In A Perfect World
They wouldn't be shamed or forgotten. Their enemy would not be praised for their actions, blame for what had happened would be shared. Their brothers would still be alive.
That was the world Madara had envisioned when asked to describe his perfect world. Whereas his friend Hashirama had envisioned one based on peace, Madara's was based on equality.
In the end the world which had won was Hashirama's, but even Madara could see the cracks showing. He had wanted his friend to succeed, because it was something, right? It was better than children being sent into battle, killing each other. Better than them dying before they were old enough to drink.
But secretly he plotted and he waited. He knew how to achieve the world he wanted, the one with true equality, where everyone was happy, where his brothers and Hashirama's were all alive, and the world wasn't ruled by hate.
And the fact that it was almost impossible wasn't going to stop him.
200! Sadly there will only be 100 more (in this fandom at least. I love Naruto, but I'm getting to the point where a change would be nice). I love you guys, and thankyou!
