Potential
This could be so much more. Naruto thought as he followed Hinata's instructions. Cut the carrots, cut the cabbage, heat the wok, boil water for rice . . .
"Are you even listening to me?" Hinata called from where she sat on the bench.
"Yeah, cut the carrots -"
"I was talking about Shikamaru and Temari's engagement party."
"Oh." Of course she was, he thought, That's all anybody talks about at the moment.
"I'm so happy for them, they're so sweet." Hinata sighed.
"She chased him down Main Street with her fan last week." Why do they always bring this up? Naruto looked at Hinata out the corner of his eyes. Just sitting there she looked to beautiful, her eyes danced as she recited all the details of the party preparations and her azure hair pooled on the counter behind her. It's like they're all trying to hint - oh.
Both so blind to the obvious hints of mutual attraction/wanting to future the relationship. I'm getting low on prompts (Title, character/s [not necessary]) So as always, if you have any they would be much appreciated.
