Another Penguin To The Zoo

Chapter 20

Epilogue

Julian was waiting for Tallulah at the altar with Maurice by his side. He was so impatient! He and his lovely Tallulah were getting married today. Today was going to be the day Tallulah would become his beloved queen.

Tallulah appeared. She was as beautiful as ever. She was wearing a white hat with a veil and carrying a bunch of flowers. The guests that were participating looked at the female lemur in awe. Slowly, the female lemur stepped up to the altar and stood beside Julian. The two smiled at one another, their eyes set on each other lovingly. They were truly a pair. The priest, which was now Private started his speech.

"And do you promise you will stay with Julien and love him for the rest of your life, in the good times and bad times?" Private inquired, looking towards Tallulah.

"Yes, I will," Tallulah answered, nodding eagerly. She would loyally stay at Julian's side and she will stay with him forever. Private then asked the same question to the groom.

"I now present you the new king and queen," Private announced cheerfully. "You Julien, may kiss your bride." The crowds of animals cheered and smiled. Some of them, including the penguins and Marlene even cried. "This is so romantic," Private cried out happily.

"It sure is, Private it sure is," Skipper agreed, wiping away stray tears from his cheek. He looked at the newly wedded couple with rejoice.

Three hours later...

Skipper walked to Marlene as the music began playing. The violins were slowly "May I dance with you?" he asked in a gentle tone. Marlene looked at him smiling.

"Of course, Skipper, of course you may."

The two danced to the wedding music, ignoring the commotion and noise. They were too focused on each other, as were Kowalski and Lindsey. It seemed most animals had a partner and most were content. "Have I told you that you look beautiful today?" Skipper compliment the chestnut-coloured otter, who blushed. Skipper chuckled.

He couldn't quite say how he much cared for Marlene. "Thanks Skipper," she thanked him, her eyes shining brightly at his words.

Kowalski was also enjoying himself immensely. He enjoyed every minute of dancing with Lindsey, she was so precious to him. He LOVED Lindsey, though he neither admitted it, not acknowledged it, for the longest time. "How are you enjoying this, Kowalski?" Lindsey asked.

Kowalski smiled. "Very well, thank you," he replied turning crimson red under his feathers. "Um... Lindsey can I ask you something?" Kowalski asked looking at Lindsey.

"Of course you can, Kowalski, you should know that you can ask me anything," Lindsey answered.

"Will... you... um... marry me?" he asked blushing. Lindsey was taken by surprise. She didn't know what to say. Then it struck her. The answer...

..."Yes, I will marry you Kowalski, I would love to be your wife!" she replied, feeling like the luckiest penguin alive.

And this is really how this story ends.

Skipper soon decided he would take Marlene on a date. Marlene was so happy that she instantly agreed and the two enjoyed that day more than either would have ever thought. Skipper had felt something for Marlene right from the start, but he never had the courage to say anything.

Kowalski and Lindsey had a beautiful wedding and the two finally had the life they wanted. Kowalski stopped being mocked and taunted about his 'no girlfriend' issue, between the animals in the zoo. He had much more than that now, and it seemed that Skipper was very happy for them.

Julian and Tallulah ruled their enclosure of a kingdom happily and Julien's grumpy, prideful side slowly began to melt away with the love his wife gave him.

To those who don't know this, Tallulah means leaping water, and Tallulah fit her name perfectly. She was much like a beautiful ballet dancer who had magnificent leaps, grace and elegance in her step and being a lemur she was as fast as a river flowing and just as beautiful. The two lemurs literally danced their way through life! And that is just about all that I can say – at least for now.

I hope you have enjoyed the final chapter. Don't worry, Lindsey's stories don't end here. There might be another one! I hope you liked this story, but after reading the reviews, I am sure that at least one of you all did.
