AN: Ciao~! So..I'm back?
Yeah, yeah, I know I updated not that long ago, but...I'm back to normal.
There's been a lot going on recently. Got to perform at Rock City with my chorus class. It's been a lot of fun, but also a lot of work.
Anyways..
To those who reviewed:
Luvrainluv: Kay. Thanks! You too!
ThatRandomReview: Yeah. Well..not like I have too much of a life outside of it anyways...
Enjoy.
Things weren't calm until they settled down as a group to talk.
Romeo had curled up in a ball in Feliciano's lap, eyes focused on Lovino curiously.
Toris sighed and got up. "Alright, little one. You don't need to be in here for this. Not for kids to hear,"he said, looking at Romeo, who pouted before looking at Lovino.
Lovino shook his head. "He's right. Go on. He'll keep an eye on you."
Romeo pouted once again, but got up and walked with Toris.
Once they were gone, Antonio spoke up. "So...can I ask why exactly this never came up before?"
"I didn't know how to say anything.."Lovino admitted. "I just...it's not something I like talking about, 'Toni. I hate it."
Feliciano sighed. "That doesn't matter, fratello. You should have mentioned it to someone. We would have been a lot more understanding about what was going on if we had known what you were dealing with! We just thought you didn't want anyone to help. Not that you were afraid to have others help."
Lovino looked at his brother and shrugged. "It's not something that I wanted to advertise, to you of all people, Feli."he said softly. "I had to be strong for you, I wasn't going to put that out there and ruin my effort before it helped."
"And you've already managed to nearly kill yourself doing so,"Raivis pointed out. "Second month you were in the mafia. You can't do everything on your own, Lovino. It doesn't work that way. You should know this by now! I thought you'd learned!"
Lovino met his eyes before he sighed. "I did. I just...out here, it's a different story. It's so different. I'm not used to not being under constant threat, I'm not used to being able to ask for help from someone without fear of getting fucking shot for it."
Gilbert's eyes narrowed. "They didn't..."he growled out. "They better not have threatened you guys."
"Doesn't matter."Lovino said, glaring at the floor in front of him. "What's been said and done is in the past, I'm not planning on reopening anything to get revenge. It isn't worth it. Can't we just...forget all this and move on?"
Gilbert huffed. "We can. If you'll let someone help you."
Lovino hesitated, seeming to mull it over quickly before he sighed. "Fine. But you guys have to let this drop!"
They agreed and Antonio took Lovino's hand carefully.
"Thank you, Lovi."Antonio murmured softly. "You know I worry."
Lovino gave a faint smile. "I know."
After that, things finally settle down.
Toris and Romeo showed back up in the room shortly after, and Lovino busied himself keeping Romeo distracted until bedtime.
The youngest of the brothers ended up falling asleep against Lovino during the middle of a game.
Lovino smiled faintly and got up carefully, picking the child up as he did so and carrying him to bed.
When he showed back up, he got a soft smile from Feliciano. "See? I told you. You don't screw things up when it comes to your family."he commented.
Lovino shrugged. "I'm just...I'm not used to this..."
"No one ever is."Gilbert deadpanned.
Lovino flipped him off and Matthew chuckled. It was so like the Italian to do something like that.
At least he was back to normal...well...almost, anyways.
Here guys. I need some sleep now. And I have a chapter to read in a book for English...gr. I hate it. I hate reading assigned books...
