Home From The War

"We made it back alright. " Kiba yelled in the middle of the forest, tears streaked down his face. "Akamaru and Hana and Mum and myself. Not that you would give a shit."

He kicked at a log before continuing. "I mean you haven't cared in what, sixteen years? You may as well be dead. That would probably be better, at least Then I would have a grave to talk to, rather than shouting to the fucking forest." Sitting down Kiba ran a hand through his hair. "Do you have any idea the shit I have seen? I watched friends die, people be torn limb from limb. Everyone saw the same shit, and we're not fucking coping. I can't go to Mum, or Hana, they saw the same shit I did. Hinata and Shino, my teammates who you should know, Hinata completely shut herself off from the world, and Shino," Kiba's voice cracked. "Some days he's fine, then suddenly he's a mess. I never saw the guy show emotion in four years, now he goes from normal to, I can't even describe it."

"What I'm trying to say is where the fuck are you? Where have you been? I have to be strong for all these people, and do you know how fucking hard that is? I guess not, you couldn't stick around for us. And I never thought I would hear myself say these words but, why did you have to leave? Cause this is probably the only time I would ever admit to wanting you around."
