"Pop corn and an extra half gallon of milk?"

"Experiment."

"Really?"

"Yes, it has to do with the absorption rate of the milk into the pop corn and the over all surface tension. Also mass and volume."

"How are you planing on doing that?"

"Filling a container with milk and one of the same type with pop corn."

"And then?"

"Then I will put the pop corn into the milk."

"Why?"

"Because…"

"Yes go on."

"Well I was going through the book shelf and I found my old science book. From when I was a child."

"Yeah, and you decided to do one of the experiments?"

"Well yes. I never got to do it before, I skipped the most of the book because it was too easy. I got bumped up a grade."

"So now you want to do it."

"Well yes. I already did the rest of them but we don't have any pop corn and neither does Mrs Hudson."

"Okay, ah, this won't make a mess will it?"

"No, that's the thing, if you put the pop corn into the milk slowly then you can fit the all of it into the glass without spilling any."

"Really? How—. Never mind, I'll go get the stuff and then we can both do it and you can explain it to me."

"Really? You want to do it too?"

"Well yeah, it sounds like fun. That is if you don't mind?"

"No, that would…that would be good."

"Alright then. I'll be back in an hour, don't blow up the flat while I'm gone."

I've done the popcorn thing and it does work, I don't know how and I don't know if it would end up in a child's science book, I just liked the idea of Sherlock doing it.
