Taste

Growing up it hadn't been something he particularly liked, it was just cheap and easy enough for him to make. Sometimes he had added too much of the chili flavour packet, and that had burned his mouth, others there wasn't enough soy sauce which was gross too. Eventually he had gotten making ramen down to an art form and he was happy for a while.

Then Iruka-sensei treated him to the ramen at Ichiraku's and he was exposed to a whole new world of flavour. He began to seek out different kinds of ramen, and always visited the restaurants in villages he passed through.

But nothing could compare to the ramen She had helped him to cook. It was spicy and salty, with just the right amount of pork. It wasn't fancy ramen, there weren't any frills and it was a simple recipe. But it was home made and it was filled with love, the love they had for each other.

It was still the best damn ramen he had ever had.
