Hey everyone! Yes, yes, I know it's been many months since I've done a chapter of a story on this site. But it seems that I'm becoming very slow at writing fan-fics, but I seem to be more of a reader and reviewer now. I might get a new chapter for Explorers of Mobius or Roxas in GX this month, but don't count on it.
I'm basically looking for a job to improve my CV and get a better job than working at M&S Food. If you're wondering, working there was alright, but there some aspects that those guys need to improve on.
I'm sorry if this story seems rushed, but to be honest... I can't really continue this story because I have no ideas on what to write so this will be fine to continue, but not by me. You, the readers will be the writers, but if you do... please say the original story was by me, BlueYusei.

Chapter 5 - A New Bond
It had been a few hours after Yusei left the orphanage and he had been in a few classes which were easy compared to the maths classes. It was now break time and Yusei asked Matt to duel him. Matt was about to ask why, but Yusei said that he would explain after the duel. During the duel, it seemed like Yusei was dueling Matt like he did the first time when he took Junk Warrior away. Matt was confused by this and this was the point when he asked the question.
"What's wrong Yusei? Why did you want to duel me?" Yusei looked a little down but he answered Matt's question. "Well, do you remember when we last spoke and talked about that Stardust Dragon wish?" Matt nodded, understanding what Yusei was talking about. "Well, last night Stardust Dragon came to me in a dream and told me the answers to my questions, like what you said about my eyes being gold".
Yusei breathed in and out and continued, "And according to Stardust Dragon, me and him are somehow linked, that's why I was more confident during our duel". Matt looked at Yusei wondering what he meant, but it seemed Yusei was interested at something else. Someone who was dueling on a bench was about the same height as Yusei, he had blond hair and was wearing a white trench coat. He had violet eyes and was dueling someone else who was in Yusei's class, it looked like the blond-haired kid had some anger in him.
Yusei asked as he pointed to the blond-haired kid, "Matt, who's that guy?" Matt broke off his concentration from Yusei and looked at what Yusei was pointing at. "Oh I wouldn't go near him if I were you. That's Jack Atlas, he's very tough at dueling and you don't want to get on his bad side". Yusei looked back at the kid who he now knows as Jack, strangely from what Yusei saw, he saw a red fiery aura on him. Yusei closed his eyes and his eyes went gold like he did before he duelled Matt and without him knowing, Yusei was walking closer to Jack.
"Yusei, what are you doing?" Yusei said not turning to see Matt, "I'm going to teach him a lesson". Matt was speechless, but he kept in his mind, 'Don't say I didn't warn you...' As Yusei walked next to Jack, he was watching at how he dueled, from his observations, Jack dueled quite aggressively and Yusei didn't like it one bit. As a brave person would do, Yusei grabbed the collar of Jack's shirt and lifted him up slightly, he then said, "Why are you so aggressive against this kid?!"
Jack just gave a wide grin and answered, "Why not? It makes me feel better, knowing I'm one of the most powerful duelists in this school!" Yusei narrowed his eyes a little, but he still looked serious. He noticed that Jack's eyes had a small amount of gold in his violet eyes and he said what he thought, "Wait, I'm not the only one?" Jack's eyes narrowed and added, "What do you mean 'not the only one'?" Yusei was silent, but he then suggested, "Duel me". Jack smiled and understood what Yusei was saying. "Oh I get it, you want to duel me? You will soon fall from my power!" Jack got his deck ready and got the table set, Yusei did the same and got his two synchro cards to the side. "DUEL!"

Jack's Turn
"I'll take the first turn! Draw!" Jack drew his card and announced, "I summon Mad Archfiend!"
Mad Archfiend - ATK 1800 DEF 0 LV4 - Fiend / Effect - DARK
During battle between this attacking card and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent. When this face-up Attack Position monster is selected as an attack target, change it to Defense Position.
"I place a card face down and end my turn". Yusei looked at the opponent, trying to study him, but he then began his turn.
Yusei's Turn
"My turn". Yusei drew his card and looked at his hand. "I summon Fortress Warrior in defense mode!"
Fortress Warrior - ATK 600 DEF 1200 LV2 - Warrior / Effect - EARTH
You take no battle damage from attacks involving this card. Once per turn, this card cannot be destroyed by battle.
"I place 2 cards face down and end my turn". Yusei put his two face downs near Fortress Warrior and Jack was laughing at Yusei's action. "Are you even going to attack me? Some fighter you are!" Like before, Yusei saw the fiery aura from Jack and knew it had something to do with their bonds. "I knew I wasn't alone, don't you remember me..." Yusei paused but said something that would get Jack's attention. "...Red?"
Jack was confused as he said, "You know me? Who are you?!" Yusei smiled and answered, "Remember me? Stardust?" Jack recognised the name and growled at him. "You! You've chosen someone?! Why did you choose him out of all people?" Yusei narrowed his eyes a little. "Because he needed my help and we both trust each other through thick and thin. let me guess, this Jack kid wanted the power to win and you used your power within dueling?" Jack felt insulted, he didn't want to be talked like that. "Shut up! Let's keep dueling! Draw!" Jack drew his card and started his 2nd turn.
Jack's Turn
Before the talk between Stardust and Jack, who Stardust knew as 'Red', Yusei was in a small room which was mostly black, his eyes were closed, but he soon opened them as he heard voices. "Where am I?" Yusei sat up and looked at his surroundings, indeed the room was mostly black but he then saw something which seemed to be what was going on outside as he saw Jack dueling.
"I must be in that safe place Stardust mentioned, so he's dueling Jack..." Yusei watched the vision of the duel and saw Stardust's turn when he summoned Fortress Warrior and placing his two face-downs. Yusei then heard the conversation between them both and Stardust mentioning the name 'Red'. "Red? What's he talking about? And how does Stardust know him?" Yusei wanted to know more, but he guessed that Stardust will explain it or during the duel.
Back in the duel, Jack drew his card and announced, "Mad Archfiend, take him down!" Mad Archfiend crunched a skull and spat out the remains onto Fortress Warrior. "Fortress can't be destroyed in battle once!" Jack sneered and added, "But you won't be". Jack was right as Mad Archfiend's ability took down some life points even though Fortress Warrior was in defense mode.

Yusei's Turn
"I end my turn, try and fight me back!" Yusei replied back, "And I will!" Yusei drew his card and smiled at what it was. "I activate the spell card Tuning!"
Tuning - Normal Spell
Add 1 "Synchron" Tuner monster from your Deck to your hand, then send the top card of your Deck to the Graveyard.
"With this, I get to add a Synchron tuner monster to my hand and I have to send the top card of my deck to the graveyard". Yusei shown the tuner to Jack and the top card of his deck was Quillbolt Hedgehog which was sent to the graveyard. "Now I summon the tuner monster, Junk Synchron!" The familiar tuner monster that Yusei used in Matt's duel appeared.
Junk Synchron - ATK 1300 DEF 500 LV3 - Warrior / Tuner - DARK
When this card is Normal Summoned, you can select 1 Level 2 or lower monster from your Graveyard, and Special Summon it in face-up Defense Position. That monster's effect(s) is negated.
"Junk Synchron can summon a level 2 or 1 monster from my graveyard, so I bring back Quillbolt Hedgehog!"
Quillbolt Hedgehog - ATK 800 DEF 800 LV2 - Machine / Effect - EARTH
If you control a face-up Tuner monster: You can Special Summon this card from your Graveyard. If this card was Summoned this way, banish it when it leaves the field.
Jack was a little confused as to why he would summon such a monster. "Why would you summon that low level monster?" Yusei was unfazed by Jack's insult to his monsters, but answered his question. "For this!" Junk Synchron pulled a cord and turned to three green rings. "I tune Junk Synchron with my Fortress Warrior to synchro summon, Junk Warrior!"
Junk Warrior - ATK 2300 DEF 1300 LV5 - Warrior / Synchro /Effect - DARK
"Junk Synchron" + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters
When this card is Synchro Summoned, it gains ATK equal to the total ATK of all Level 2 and lower monsters you control.
"When Junk Warrior is synchro summoned, he gains attack for any level 1 or 2 monsters on my field! So with Quillbolt on the field, Junk Warrior gains 800 attack!" As Yusei explained, Junk Warrior gained more attack points due to Quillbolt Hedgehog being on the field.
Junk Warrior - 3100 ATK
"Junk Warrior, attack Mad Archfiend! Go, Scrap Fist!" Junk Warrior used his metallic fist to smash Mad Archfiend to pieces. Once the field was clear, Yusei delared his next attack. "Quillbolt, attack him directly!"
"I end my turn wiith that". What Yusei didn't see was there was a trap shown on the field with two small orbs of light surrounding it. Yusei was curious of the trap card, but he knew Jack would explain it later.
Jack - 2100

Jack's Turn
Jack was growling at Yusei for him dealing damaging his life points. "How dare you take life points down! No one has been able to do that until you showed up! Now you will pay! I draw!" Jack drew his card and announced, "I activate my trap which you may have noticed while you attacked!"
Spacegate - Continuous Trap
Each time a monster your opponent controls attacks or is attacked, place 1 Gate Counter on this card at the end of the Damage Step. During your Main Phase: You can send this card to the Graveyard; Special Summon 1 monster from your hand whose Level is less than or equal to the number of Gate Counters on this card.
"I can now special summon a monster which level equals the number of counters I removed, so by removing one, I can special summon this guy, Dark Bug!"
Dark Bug - ATK 100 DEF 100 LV1 - Insect / Effect - DARK
When this card is Normal Summoned, select and Special Summon 1 Level 3 Tuner monster from your Graveyard. The effect(s) of that monster is negated.
"But that's not all! I summon Twin-Shield Defender in defense mode!"
Twin-Shield Defender - ATK 700 DEF 1600 LV4 - Warrior / Effect - EARTH
When this card you control is destroyed by battle and sent to your Graveyard, you can halve the current ATK of 1 face-up monster your opponent controls, until the End Phase.
"And lastly, I activate the Double Summon spell card!"
Double Summon - Normal Summon
You can conduct 2 Normal Summons/Sets this turn, not just 1.
"I can now normal summon another monster and the monster is the tuner monster, Dark Resonator!" Yusei looked a little surprised, but realised he had Red Dragon Archfiend. "You're not the only one to do a synchro summon..."
Dark Resonator - ATK 1300 DEF 300 LV3 Fiend / Tuner - DARK
Once per turn, this card cannot be destroyed by battle.
"I tune Dark Resonator with Twin-Shield Defender and Dark Bug, to synchro summon my very soul, Red Dragon Archfiend! As the Red Dragon aappeared, it gave out a roar and Yusei smirked a little. "You haven't changed..."
Red Dragon Archfiend - ATK 3000 DEF 2000 LV8 - Dragon / Synchro / Effect - DARK
1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters
After damage calculation, when this card attacks a Defense Position monster your opponent controls: Destroy all Defense Position monsters your opponent controls. During your End-Phase: Destroy all other monsters you control that did not declare an attack this turn. This card must remain face-up on the field to activate and to resolve this effect.
Meanwhile in the soul room...
Yusei stared at the synchro dragon Jack summoned. Yusei was bilwildered at Jack synchro summoning since he only saw Stardust perform one, but he then heard Stardust say, 'You haven't changed' and thought why he said that out loud, since he was the only one in the room. "If Stardust said that, then... is this the one he calls Red? He looks terrifying, I'm glad I'm not facing him".
Yusei then heard more chatter between the two, Jack or Red spoke first. "I just want you to see my very soul before you bow to my power! Go and attack Quillbolt Hedgehog with Absolute Powerforce!" Stardust shook his head and said to himself, which Red heard. "You never learn Red, I'm always one step ahead of you! I activate my trap card, Scrap-Iron Scarecrow!"
Scrap-Iron Scarecrow - Normal Trap
When an opponent's monster declares an attack: Target the attacking monster; negate that target's attack, also, after that, Set this card face-down instead of sending it to the Graveyard.
"Thanks to this, I can stop your attack and my momster's can live for another turn!". The trap card Stardust activated was placed back face down from where placed it. Jack narrowed his eyes with anger, but said calmly, "I have no choice but to end my turn". But then Jack thought to himself, 'As long as he doesn't have a monster with 1200 attack or more...'
Yusei's Turn
"My turn!" Yusei drew the tuner monster, Hyper Synchron. He calculated the maths in his mind and with the new monster, he can win this duel. "I summon the tuner monster, Hyper Synchron!"
Hyper Synchron - ATK 1600 DEF 800 LV4 - Machine / Tuner - LIGHT
If this card is sent to the Graveyard for the Synchro Summon of a Dragon-Type Synchro Monster, that monster gains 800 ATK. Remove it from play during the End Phase.
"And now, I'll equip Junk Warrior with the equip spell, Fighting Spirit!" A glowing ring was wrapped around Junk Warrior's left arm.
Fighting Spirit - Equip Spell
The equipped monster gains 300 ATK for each monster your opponent controls. If it would be destroyed by battle, you can destroy this card instead.
"Check this out Jack, because you have Red Dragon Archfiend on your field, Junk Warrior gains 300 more attack!"
Junk Warrior - 3400
"Junk Warrior attack with Scrap Fist!" Junk Warrior attacked Red Dragon Archfiend with a powerful punch and it was then destroyed in pieces. Jack growled at his monster's destruction, but he looked at the remaining monsters that Yusei had on his field and added up their attack points. It was then that he knew that he lost. "Hyper Synchron, attack Jack directly and Quillbolt, finish him off!" With the two remaining monster's attacks, the duel ended with Jack's life points reducing to 0.

As the duel ended, Stardust shook his head a little as he eyes changed to normal. Yusei then blinked and looked around him as he started to realise that he was out of the soul room. Yusei then looked at Jack as he seemed to notice the same thing, since his eyes were pure violet and with no sign of gold. Jack looked at Yusei and was confused as to what had happened. "W-what just happened?" Yusei noticed that Jack was having the same reaction he had, when Stardust took over him. Yusei then asked, "How long ago have you had Red Dragon Archfiend?"
Jack was confused as to why Yusei asked that, but he looked at the card and thought about it. "I'm not sure myself, I found it lying around in the junkyards yesterday". Yusei was now positive that Jack and Red Dragon Archfiend are the same person, just as he and Stardust was. "Listen Jack, I am just like you with what has happened. I have a dragon synchro card that has somehow linked with me". Jack was curious as to what card he was talking about and Yusei showed him Stardust Dragon for him to look at.
Once Jack had a look at Stardust Dragon, Yusei put it away and said with smile. "Let's be friends Jack. It was a great duel we just had there". Jack looked at Yusei and thought about it, he didn't seem like the bad type of person you would find in Satellite and he seemed to know about this bond, so mentally he agreed. Jack lifted his right arm for a handshake and said, "I'll be your rival from now on, but yes. Let's be friends". Yusei shook his hand and added with a smile, "Friends".
And since that day, Yusei and Jack became friends for life. Yusei then met Crow not long ago and easily became friends, as well as his bonded friend Stardust Dragon. As the years went by, Yusei had adapted to some of Stardust's personalities like Stardust's seriousness or having to make tough decisions. Yusei healed more quickly as well and as he was getting smarter, he was gradually not needing Stardust's knowledge.
After the appearance of the Crimson Dragon when Yusei and Jack duelled, Yusei then found two others that were bonded by synchro dragons. One was named Akiza who was bonded by Black Rose Dragon and Luna who was bonded by Ancient Fairy Dragon. Like what Yusei did with Jack, he helped Akiza and Luna understand and became friends and due to this unknown bond between dragon and Signer, he wouldn't have met these wonderful friends.
This is the end for me for this story, but remember... you the readers can be the ones to finish this, as long as you say the original story was by me. Until then...
