Inuyasha sits by the well, staring at it in silence. It had become a daily routine for him now. It had been three months since she was taken from him. He sighed as he thought back to the day he would never forget.
They had just killed naraku and completed the jewel shard. Kagome had wished on the jewel to make sure it would disappear forever. As she made her wish the jewel vanished and suddenly kagome began to fade. She tried to grab inuyashas hand as he reached for her desperately, but her hand just passed through his. "Inuyasha!" She cried out, "i love you inuyasha! I will not ever stop trying to come back home!" "Kagome!" Inuyasha yelled as she finally dissapeared. He sank to his knees and sango and miroku stood beside him, placing their hands on his shoulders as shippo clung to sango, crying.
He returned to the present as he slowly stood up and walked away. The others had tried to help him find out how to get her back, but with no luck.
Kagome sighed as she looked down at the well. True to her word, she had tried every single day to return to him. She glanced down into its depths and decided to just try one more time today. She lept into the well, hopeful for the first time in a long time.
Inuyasha paused as he reached the edge of the village. He sniffed the air in excitement. There was no mistaking this scent. He turned back to the well and ran as fast as he could to get there. He stopped as he saw a figure in a bright white dress caressing the trunk of the goshinboku where he had been trapped for so long. "...i...im home..." he heard her whisper to herself. Suddenly she turned around and spotted inuyasha. Inuyasha drank in her visage. His eyes roamed from her raven hair, to her perfect brown eyes. As his gaze drifted downwards, he took in a breath of suprise. There, under her dress, being protectively held by her hands, was her belly where he could see that she was growing a pup inside her womb. Their pup. His shock faded, and pure love and happiness arrowed through him. He ran to her, picking her up into his arms and twirling her around happily. Kagome laughed and kissed him deeply as he put her down. He held her close as he rubbed her belly. "Im home koishii..." Kagome whispered. Inuyasha smiled against her shoulder. "Its about god damned time."
