Chapter Three

Ivy's Memoirs

I kicked through the door with all my might, while holding Harley in my arms. Riddler was right behind us; he helped me open the main door to the building and decided to tag along with us. I placed Harley on her bed and began treating her wounds. Her face was utterly destroyed by the swelling and dried up blood that came from her nose, mouth, and cuts. She coughed out loud trying to spit out the blood that went in her mouth. I blinked as some of droplets of blood were spat on to my face. She turned to her side and tried to hide her disfigured self. Of course she couldn't hide anything from me or from the other pair of eyes in the room.

"She couldn't stay away, huh?" The Riddler sighed and handed me a pair of scissors that I took in silence. I held the scissors in my hand and cut away her dress doing my best not to move my best friend too much.

"When will you learn Harley?" Riddler turned his head when I dressed Harley into a single long t-shirt. I held back a cry when I saw how badly beaten Harley was. The small patches of purple and blue slowly started to show. When I was done, he returned his eyes us.

"We won't stay long. It won't take long for the Joker to find us and finish what he started." I ran my bloodied gloved hand through Harls' blond hair.

"P-puddin'" She whispered the evil man's nickname. "Puddin' I will always be your Pumpkin'" She managed to say before falling asleep.

With the anger I felt toward her and the Joker, I got up, dumped the first aid kit on my bed. I pushed Riddler out of the way and headed up towards the roof.

My skin felt hot as my anger just grew and grew. How can she still…call out to him like that! He almost killed her and yet she still calls out to him. I was out on the roof; I stopped a few feet from the door and let out a scream. I fell to the ground and began to punch the concrete floor. I took my frustration, fear, every emotion on the roof.

I felt my skin being scrapped by the concrete but I didn't care. At that moment I didn't care for what I was doing, as long as I let everything out it didn't matter how much I'd bleed or if I broke any bones… I just wanted to feel nothing. I kept raising my fist as high as I could and bring them down with all my force, each time getting too painful for me to ignore and yet I didn't stop.

"IVY STOP!" Cat-Woman ran towards me and grabbed me, holding me in a bear hug. I struggled in her tight lock but she held me as tightly. After a few minutes of struggling I gave up and cried. "It's okay; she's going to be okay." She whispered to me.

I couldn't speak since my voice was filled with sobbing and cries that was so unlike me. Leave it for the Joker to use every means necessary to show he's on top and everyone else is below him. Why Harls? She did not deserve any of his cruel treatment. Why couldn't he taken it out on me?

"Ivy, what did you do to yourself?" Cat-Woman grabbed my hands to hers and examined them.

"They will heal." I forced out to say, trying to calm myself as much as I could.

"C'mon let's get you inside and patched up." Selina (Cat-Woman) pulled me to my feet and lead me inside the building.

Three Days Later

I was dressed up as a regular civilian, coat with a long black long sleeve turtle neck, with black gloves, and black leather. Since I couldn't leave the hotel due to Harley's injury, Cat-Woman had brought over some of her clothes and they were all black or dark. I don't mind it but I do enjoy some fresh color. Since my abnormal red hair was a dead giveaway, Selina, brought a few wigs. Today my hair was long blond hair; I wore bright blue contacts with a pair of glasses. When Selina was done dressing me up, I literally looked different.

I grabbed a cup of green tea from a local café. I ever since that time in the charity fund, I wanted to get away from Harley. Mind you I didn't like it but the fact is she still wants to be with her 'Mistah J'. She had even forgiven him! Is she as crazy as she portrays? Damn it to hell!

I gripped the plastic up tightly causing it to explode all over me. I cleaned myself quickly and threw the cup and dirty napkins away. I returned to my seat when I noticed a man and a woman walked towards me and sat on the opposite end of me with the girl facing the window and the man sitting on my side facing away. Both were in my line of vision. The man seemed familiar to me. I know I met him before.

What was his name? Patrick? No, that wasn't it… Damn it what was it?

"How can you manage working and going to college is beyond me, Peter." The girl spoke first after taking a sip from her cup. I smiled at the barista brought me another green tea. I took a sip but kept my eyes on the couple. For some reason I wondered if he left early before the Joker appeared. He was a good kid from what we talked at the party.

"You get use to it over time." Peter shrugged. The girl smiled and giggled a very annoying giggle.

"What are you and your family doing this weekend?" Peter asked. He fixed his glasses that were slopping down his nose.

"Well you know going to go Christmas shopping, it's almost near the date you know. Also it'll be nice if you can spend it with your girlfriend this year." The girls pouted and stroke his free hand that was on the table. I wanted to laugh out loud at how poorly the girl was trying wrap the young Peter in guilt.

"I'm sorry Gwen but you know I always spend holidays with my aunt, May." There was a slight annoyance in his tone; he probably did not want to get into the conversation on why he wants to spend his time with his own family rather than with her.

"Maybe I can spend it with you two?" The girl, Gwen, asked.

"I will think about it." Peter sighed but smiled at his girlfriend.

The rest of the conversation continued on and I lost interest. The green tea that was given to me was on the table not finished. I lost myself back into my own problems and it depressed me more than it did the first time. I sighed and got up from my spot and left the doomed-to-break-couple to their own world.

Peter Parker

I was beyond tired from his struggle with Joker the other day, he wasn't exactly in the mood to deal with Jameson. Still, he didn't have much choice in the matter. As he opened the door, I pulled out exactly what Jameson wanted...The pictures.

"Can't believe I actually managed to get them, but I did." Jameson laughed scummily as he snatched the photos, examining them.

"I knew it! That scummy little insect was in league with Ivy all this time! Look at this!" Jameson raised the photo, as if announcing it to the entire office.

"He's helping those two criminals escape!" he shouted, triumphantly. "The power of the press wins again! I already have the title ready..."Masked Menace Aids Psychotic Plant Princess, Shows True Colors!"

J.J laughed again, proud of his work. I shrugged, not exactly sure what Ivy would think of this. Knowing Jameson, he would probably make Ivy out to be in league with the Joker trying to destroy the whole city or something. On the other hand, having gotten J.J his prized photos, it would probably be the perfect time to ask for a much needed break...And maybe talk to Ivy again. I rubbed my neck dramatically.

"Yeah...Guy's a real shocker. Anyway, you don't know how many hoops I had to jump through to get those pics...Mind if I have a short break." J.J sighed equally dramatically,

"You got me the evidence I've always wanted! Take months of if you want! Ivy and Spidey are gettin what's coming to em!"

I left the office, sweating noticeably. I just wanted to get out of here. J.J's article would surely make him an outlaw...All the same, he didn't know if he really wanted to turn Ivy and Harley in. There was...Chemistry between the two. I didn't want to openly admit it, I was pretty close to Gwen Stacy, my current "girlfriend", but in all honesty that relationship felt more like two best friends trying to feign romance that we might have never had. Either way...Jameson was definitely in trouble, and I would have to get to Ivy and talk to her before she found out about any of this.

X~:~X

Three days later

Stacy was supposed to be here about 20 minutes ago, I don't know if she was busy or what the problem was, but she was definitely late. Really didn't need this, I was gonna suit up in about 30 minutes and try and get to Ivy and Harley. Finally, Gwen arrived, a big smile on her face.

"How can you manage working and going to college is beyond me, Peter." Gwen spoke first after taking a sip from her cup.

"You get use to it over time." I shrugged. I figured I shouldn't even bring up the "late" thing, it didn't matter and I didn't have much time to spare.

"What are you and your family doing this weekend?" I asked, almost out of obligation

"Well you know going to go Christmas shopping, it's almost near the date you know.

Also it'll be nice if you can spend it with your girlfriend this year." Did she really think we were at that level right now? I'd told her tons of times how I just wanted to be friends, but she didn't listen. Why would I think now would be an exception.

"I'm sorry Gwen but you know I always spend holidays with my aunt, May." I replied, slightly irritated and flat out trying to get away.

"Maybe I can spend it with you two?" She asked.

"I will think about it." I sighed, realizing there was no way out of this.

She giggled as I finally walked away. I began to pick up speed as I realized that I had to suit up and begin tracking the two thieves. Stacy, and even May, would have to wait for now.

Poison Ivy

I decided to look around the city everyone was in walking around shopping, getting to work, or going somewhere. I just walked all over the city with no real destination on where to go. My head was swarming with this and that well to be honest it was all on my big problem: The Joker.

Having him so close was enough to bring raw fear and hatred. They melted perfectly together but every once in a while they would try to dominate the other. Why would he be back? He was out of our reach and then he came out of nowhere. Did he keep tabs on us? Whatever the reason he knew we were here and he would do just about anything to get what he wants: Harley at his side and me in a cell away from his 'girlfriend' or whatever she was to him.

The blond wig began to itch after a few hours; I would have thought I'd get use to the wigs but no. I scratched the back of my head where the itch was and sighed in content when it went away. I needed to get rid of it for a while even if it meant taking apart my disguise. I went to the park where it was covered in snow, a thick blanket of snow was perfect to create snowballs and have a good ol' snowball fight.

Luckily since it was a weekday, no children where at the part, few people walked around but did not pay attention to me who pulled off the blond wig. I sighed happily as my hair was freed from the hair net and felt the cool air of winter. The place was hidden and secluded, perfect for me to be me. I lay down on the blanket of snow as more fell from the grey clouded sky creating a light veil of snow.

I was about to enjoy my solitude time when I heard a pair of footsteps coming my way. I shot up quickly and saw the young lad from the café, Peter Parker.

"Don't you think it's a little risky for you to be out in the open Hana Applewood?" He asked with a grin when I made a face at the hideous name, stopping in front of me.

"It matters to you because?" I answered back annoyed as hell that he was still standing. "Sit down, seeing you standing makes me nervous." I added. He flashed me a smile and sat down next to me without a second thought.

"Why are you out here?" He asked again. "The Police are looking for you ever since you and Harley crashed the fundraiser."

"You know kid, running away from the police and hiding is fun and all but you get bored quickly. There is a limit on how much you can hide yourself from the world. Sooner or later you have to leave the cave and take in the scene before you and ignore who's after you or what your mind tells you. That's the way I see things. " I answered.

"First off I'm not a 'kid'. I already told you that before." He rolled his eyes, I smirked at him, "But what made you become a criminal if you could have done so much positive things Pamela?"

"That side of my life I don't share with noisy people let alone a KID." I growled and got up but Peter grabbed my arm and pulled me back down to the ground.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to pry. Stay okay?" He gave an apologetic smile and I found myself staying. Something was wrong about him. Despite how light muscular he was, he was indeed strong.

"There is a reason why I'm here." He continued when he knew I was not going to leave. He fetched in his bag and pulled out the newspaper. I took the pieces of paper and on the front page was a picture of myself and Spiderman. I looked at the headline and laughed.

"Masked Menace Aids Psychotic Plant Princess, Shows True Colors!"

"Who came up with this ridiculous line?" I laughed feeling relieved that the weight of my shoulders felt a bit lighter. My laughter slowly died down for me to hear his answer.

"My boss, he thinks Spiderman should be in prison along with you and Harley." Peter shrugged.

"Spiderman is anything but one of us. He's a hero." The last part slipped. Yes he saved my life and Harley but for me to say he's a hero? Of for the love of hell! Peter smirked at the slip up and I shot him a glare.

"Do I sense admiration from you Pamela?" He continued to smirk at me. I could help but turn red and burn from embarrassment.

"I-I, Spiderman helped me back there. If it hadn't been for him I'd be long gone in Arkum Sanatorium for the Criminally Insane while he would do God knows what to Harley!" I said in one breath, "I owe that 'masked menace' a 'thank you'."

"You're welcome." He said with a smile but quickly lost the smile and added, "I'm sure he would say that. I know he would." He let out an awkward cough.

"Oh? How is that?" I narrowed my eyes at the man next to me. "Do you know him on personal level?"

"You could say that." He laughed a bit and scratched the back of his head in a nervous way. It only added on to my suspicion. Before I could ask another question my phone beeped a tone notifying I had a message. I slipped out my phone; saw that I had received a message from Cat-Woman.

"I got to go. It was nice to see you again Peter." He got up first and helped me up. I grabbed my neglected wig and hair net and began to trap my hair in the net again. After adding all my extra strands of my hair in the net, I slipped on the blond wig back on my head, transforming myself once again.

"See you around Peter." I said quickly and quickly made my way back to the apartment.

"See you Pamela." He shouted out as I left him in the hidden spot.

Something along the way bothered me. He knew who I was and I felt I knew him. Not only that he called me by my name…How did he know that? Not once did I ever mention my real name. I stopped dead on my tracks and turned my head back where Peter was, was empty…

Peter Parker

After a few minutes of tracking, I managed to find Ivy near a park, alone as the sun began to set. The removal of her wig only confirmed what I already knew: That our 'Ms. Applewood' was really Poison Ivy. I approached her slowly, not wanting to spook her.

"Don't you think it's a little risky for you to be out in the open Hana Applewood?" I asked, as she turned around terrified at the possibility of her getting caught. She frowned disappointedly, before addressing me.

"It matters to you because? And sit down, seeing you standing makes me nervous..."

I shrugged in response, sitting down and knowing that the sound of a pin dropping would probably set her off. I curled up in a ball in response to the cold as I looked up at her smiling. "Why are you out in the open? The Police have been looking for you ever since you crashed the fundraiser..."

Ivy scoffed as she sat on one of the swings, her legs crossed. "You know kid, running away from the police and hiding is fun and all but you get bored quickly. There is a limit on how much you can hide yourself from the world. Sooner or later you have to leave the cave and take in the scene before you and ignore who's after you or what your mind tells you. That's the way I see things." she said, with a mischievous smile.

I sighed again at her calling me "kid". She never called "Spider-Man" kid, at least not to me. "First off I'm not a 'kid'. I already told you that before. "But what made you become a criminal if you could have done so much positive things Pamela?"

Pamela gave me a look that looked like a cross between a cruel, sarcastic smile and an outright frown. "That side of my life I don't share with noisy people let alone a KID." She got up about to walk away before I grabbed her arm, remembering why I came in the first place. "There is a reason why I'm here." I said quickly handing her the newspaper. As she surveyed it, she laughed sarcastically.

"Who came up with this ridiculous line?" she asked, half-jokingly. It was awful risky telling her the name of my plant-destroying boss, though she probably already knew, so all I said was. "My boss, he thinks Spiderman should be in prison along with you and Harley." Peter shrugged.

Ivy gave me a look of half-anger before answering "Spiderman is anything but one of us! He's a hero!" She gasped quietly at that last part as if not realizing what she said before she said it. I had trouble containing myself as I smirked back.

"Do I sense admiration from you Pamela?" I said before realizing what I had said, and blushing deeply. Either Ivy didn't notice, or she was just embarrassed at her own comment.

Ivy composed herself before answering, "Spiderman helped me back there. If it hadn't been for him I'd be long gone in Arkham Sanatorium for the Criminally Insane while he would do God knows what to Harley!" Ivy said in one breath, "I owe that 'masked menace' a 'thank you'."

"You're welcome..." I muttered quietly. Ivy looked at me with a look of shock. Now it was my turn to turn as red as my costume and compose myself. "I'm sure he would say that. I know he would." Ivy seemed doubtful; it looked like she was putting the pieces together.

"Oh? How is that?" she questioned doubtfully, narrowing her eyes. "Do you know him on personal level?" THIS was a question that it seemed I constantly had to answer, so I was a little less nervous. "You could say that." I said as I got up, ready to leave.

Ivy smiled mischievously before shaking my hand, "I got to go. It was nice to see you again Peter." she said before she got back in her disguise. I waved my hand as I left to her to her business. "Nice to see you too..."

X-x-X

When I got home, I breathed a sigh of relief. I walked up the stairs to my room, planning on watching some of the news on the "Masked Menace and the Psychotic Plant Princess", but when I opened the door; I saw an all too familiar face. Helping Aunt May with cleaning up the house were the two accomplices themselves...Harley and Ivy, out of costume of course. Aunt May smiled when she saw me, clearly comfortable with the situation. "Oh Peter, you never told me you made any new friends! Pamela and Harleen seem so nice!"

I began to sweat, as it finally sunk in. Harley and Ivy knew who I was. I began to laugh it off, as I quickly made up an excuse. "So...Um...They're staying for dinner?" Ivy laughed deeply as she looked deep in my eyes, "That was the plan...Unless you have somewhere you need to be? You do seem like such a busy guy." I wiped the sweat away from my brow, continuing to laugh like an idiot. "Oh, looks like you caught me at a good time, not that busy tonight! But, uh, if you excuse me, just have to go to the bathroom!"

I rushed to the bathroom to calm down and get a hold of myself, and I was soon vomiting like crazy out of panic and nausea. On top of that, I had just received a message from Matt Murdock. I rolled my eyes, grunting in frustration. "God damnit Matt! What do you want now?!" I whispered sharply. As I checked my cell phone, the message read. "Need to see you and Harley near at the top of the Wayne Tech building tomorrow at 12. Be there if you don't like breathing down your neck out of cop fear ~Matt."

Poison Ivy

I knocked on the door to the house of Peter Park. Call me stalker or whatever but I had a good no, a great, hunch that he knew more about Spider-Man than he was letting on. A gut feeling was telling me that he was the masked menace but there were doubts in my mind. Some pieces still needed to be found and put together. Harley was next to me by the door. She wore a red t-shirt with black pants and wore a red and black coat, talk about not being in disguise. Her hair was bunched up in a white knitted hat leaving a few pieces of her natural blond hair out.

"Why are we here, Red?" She asked shakily. The winter air was being unkind by its nonstop snow and cold air that fell down with the snow.

"Just follow me on this Harley." I answered through my own struggle with the cold. I knocked again this time a little harder. We waited a few more minutes when the door opened and a much older woman answered the door.

"Hello! Is this the residence of Peter Parker?" I said in the sweetest voice I could muster. I fixed my glasses in the process as they fell down to the point of my nose.

"Yes but I'm afraid he's out. He left to work a while ago. He won't take long though. Please come in! You two must be freezing out here." The woman opened the door wide enough for Harley and me to pass. Once inside, we took off our coats, and settled in the warm home. "I'm his aunt, May."

"I'm sorry to intrude Mrs. May." I began but May interrupted me.

"Please, call me Aunt May." She said cheerfully. Aunt May led us to the small living room that had a fair amount of Christmas decorations. Harley ran to each snow globe that was in the room like an idiot. I sat on the couch that was across where Aunt May took a seat.

"If you say so Aunt May, I want to-" I continued with Aunt May got up quickly and apologized as she ran to the kitchen when a soft whistle was heard. She returned few minutes later with a tray with three mugs of hot chocolate from the smell of it. She handed one to Harley and to me before sitting back down on her seat.

"I'm sorry dear, you two friends of Peter?"

"Yes, we are colleges. We have chemistry together. We came here to see if he had any ideas for our project." I was happy that I did some snooping on Peter Parker. If I had not done my homework well I would have said I was his friend in drama but Aunt May would have noticed the lie the moment it left my lips.

"He never mentioned he had two beautiful friends." Aunt May smiled while she sipped her hot coco. I smiled and took a sip out of my cup.

"I'm sorry my name is Pamela Isly and this dorky blond is Harley Quinn. The reason why Peter hasn't mentioned us is because we just transferred from a different university. He has been a great help on showing us around." I smiled, perfecting the lies with my sliver tongue.

"Yeah he has a real shiner on Iv-Isly." Harley laughed as I choked on the hot thick liquid. I am going to murder Harley in her sleep when we get back to the apartment.

"What she means is that-"

"I didn't know Peter was such a ladies man!" Aunt May giggled like a school girl. I turned red for a few seconds and coughed out my embarrassment. The day went on as I picked at Aunt May's brain, the more I knew about Parker more I felt that my puzzle was getting close to finishing. Harley and I stayed all day with the elderly woman we even went far as cooking dinner with her and listening to stories of her younger days and how she met her husband Ben who was brutally murdered.

I watched her from the corner of my eye as she stopped stirring the soup, her eyes lost a bit of their brightness. There was sadness glossing her eyes then she blinked them away. She sighed sadly and gave a small smile; I fought the urge to give her a hug. I felt my humanity wanting to comfort the woman who lost her loved one but the force of Mother Nature kept me away. I was here to find out information not to socialize.

"Peter took it really hard. His parents no longer here, we brought him up as our own son. Ben wanted the best for Peter. Peter knew that." Aunt May spoke so softly, I had the feeling she was scared that she'd break down crying. I was afraid of that as well. I was quiet while Harley was setting up the table in the other room, away from us besides she was humming Christmas songs that were already imprinted in my mind.

"I'm sorry for your loss." I found myself to say as I chopped up the last bit of ingredients for the soup.

"It's alright, dear. Ben's in a better place. I wouldn't wish for anything more." Aunt May turned to me and smiled brightly. I smiled back at her for her optimism. For the rest of the time we kept quiet and from time to time went to small conversations about how 'college' life was going and how Peter and I got along. The answers where lies, lies, and more lies. Then again this whole situation was a lie to get what I wanted. I wanted to prove that Peter Parker the journalist was Spider-Man.

"Oh Peter's home!" Aunt May said cheerfully and rushed to greet her nephew, I followed behind. I couldn't wait to see Spider-Man's face when he sees us. It would a Kodak moment that would be placed on the wall of my bedroom.

X~:~X

I wanted to laugh my ass off when Peter walked in to his house and saw us. He was surprised that he quickly excused himself, probably to get his stuff together, before coming back down. Harley and I exchanged smiles when we sat down and Aunt May had already put down four bowls of soup for each of us, set down a large bowl of salad, and had dessert baking in the oven.

By the time Peter came down, he was more relaxed and calm or tried to be. There was something bothering him. He sat down at Aunt May's side while Harley and I sat on the opposite side.

"Peter, Pamela says you three are working on a project? You never told me that." Aunt May broke the silence unaware of her nephew's awkward silence after. She took a sip of her soup while Peter glanced over at me and mouthed out the word 'help'.

I smiled at him then looked down at my salad and coughed out a giggle.

"Well we just started and it's hard to juggle everything and some things slip out." Peter sighed knowing he would not get any help me or Harley. I wanted to see how long he could last before asking for help.

"How are things going with Stacy, Peter? She hasn't been here for a while. I was hoping you'd bring her today."

"They are going alright. She's busy with her school work and all. She wants to spend Christmas with us."

"That'd be lovely! Oh Pamela and Harley, you two should spend it with us too! Peter's girlfriend is so nice. I'm sure you three girls will get along soon."

"Really Aunt May? Red and I would love that! Can we Red? Can we? It'd be like a real Christmas! We can also invite my Puddin!" Harley jumped out of her chair filled with energy from the invite.

"You have a boyfriend Harley?" Aunt May asked.

"Yeah, we've been together for years! I use to work for an asylum and that's where I met him." I wanted to stuff her mouth with salad by that point. By the looks that Peter was giving her he was thinking the same thing.

"He was a doctor?" Aunt May gave a worried look at Harley who kept blabbing on how he wasn't a doctor but a patient. There was no stopping that woman from talking.

"OKAY! Harley, don't scare Aunt May for the love of her sanity!" I shouted at the blond girl who quickly zipped her mouth with her imaginary zipper on her mouth. "I'm sorry Aunt May. She has a few loose screws. She likes to tell stories, she likes to joke around! Right Peter?" I turned to the hero for help and he quickly came to my rescue again.

"Harley likes to joke around. She said the same story to me when I met her." He reassured his aunt who still had a worried look on her face. "Hey Pamela can I talk to you about our project while Harley helps out Aunt May with the dishes?"

"Yeah that's no problem. Harls, no more stories. Be nice and help Aunt May out, yeah?" I gave Harley the eye and in returned she nodded and laughed.

"Gotcha Red, I'll be a good girl!"

When we reached Peter's room awkward silence filled the room. The air was thick and uncomfortable.

His room was clean and…okay. I never seen a man's room so organized. I gave credit to Aunt May who probably cleaned his room every once in a while. I walked around to the opposite side of the room where his desk and a set of chemistry books were stacked at the end of the desk. A book was at the center of the desk open to some page with highlighted marks all over.

He coughed out loud, bringing back to him who had his hands in his pockets. He wanted to speak but he was deep in thought. Neither of us could speak we just stared at each other. Tension was sipping through our body like body heat, we were wondering who would speak first. The stare off would have lasted forever when he finally opened his mouth to speak.

"Ivy, you and Harley have to come with me." He said in a slow calm voice. The tension grew intense when he finished. I was not going back to jail. Fuck that! My body tightened at the thought of being locked up in the cold disgusting white room away from the world. Hidden like some sort of animal.

"Listen KID, I'm not going back to that damn asylum." I crossed my arms under my chest. "I'm sure Aunt May wouldn't want to clean up the mess when I kick your hero-"

"I didn't mean jail. I need you two to come with me to see someone." Peter was too serious that it through me off. Why the heck would he wanted Harley and I to meet a stranger?

"Who is this 'someone'?" I asked. I was confused. Very confused. Here I thought we were going to have a show down and he throws me a curve ball saying he wants me to meet someone? Really?

"Matt Murdock." The room went quiet again. I felt my heart race when I heard the name. Matt Murdock, one of the best lawyers around and probably the sexiest man around the planet. I would not give up the chance to meet him! I smiled at Peter and gave him a cute wink. The man blushed immediately and it was pretty cute. I walked up to him, closing him against me and the door to the room. I leaned over to his ear, letting my dangerous lips brushing against his ear.

"Alright, Parker, I'll get Harls. You better not be lying to me. Or else I will feed you to my children." I whispered to him in a sweet, delicious, threat. With that being said, I pushed him away from the exit.

The three of us excused each other from Aunt May who gave each of us a bright smile and a warm goodbye. Peter and Harls left first. Aunt May pulled me to the side with a gentle grip.

"Pamela, take care of Peter. You are a nice person and I see that Peter can learn many things from you and you from him. Support each other and I'm sure you two will have a strong lasting relationship." Aunt May squeezed my hand tightly almost too tightly. It was pretty clear that she didn't want me to break this promise. I felt my lying tongue wanting to promise her but something pulled back the lies. I couldn't answer her with my words so I answered her with a single nod. Aunt May smiled once again, she was such a sweetheart.

I felt like a criminal.

A dirty criminal.

Lying to the old lady who showered Harley and me real genuine kindness hurt. A little.

Harley and Peter were waiting for me by the getaway car. Peter was in the passenger's side while Harls sat in the back. I got in the car silent as the cold winter night. Peter shifted a bit probably because of the cold though that didn't bother me.

"Where are we going with Spidey, Red?" Harley said cheerfully. I turned to look at Peter who pulled out his phone. He touched his screen several times before opening his GPS.

"Just take this street down, Pamela." He ordered with a shivering voice. I rolled my eyes, pulled the car in drive.

"Poison Ivy." I corrected him, "You don't have my permission to use that name."

"Okay sheesh." Peter answered back, annoyed. "I thought since we were friends and all we could call each other like normal people." I slammed my fist on the steering wheel at what he said. Honestly, does he think we can be 'friends'? I'm not like him. I can never BE like him. I already made a name for myself and I was not going to change just to have a 'friend'. I have Harley and she's the only friend I want.

"Who the hell said we were friends?" I glared at him from the corner of my eye but Harls jumped in with an idiotic smile.

"C'mon Red! We are all friends. After all that he's done for us, we should consider him a friend." Harley smirked at Peter who grinned back at her. "Come on now who can deny this cutie?" Harley grabbed Peter's face forcing him to pucker his lips giving him an awkward expression, sort of fishy like.

I snorted at how easily Peter got along with Harley.

"It's settled! We are all friends!" Harley screamed out loud throwing herself back to the seat with a laughter that made Peter cringe and me smirk. Oh yes. We will be the 'best' of friends.

Psh yeah right…
