As Caroline finished getting dress she notice the bruising on her neck. Her hand went up to touch it, but it caused her to winced. She shut her eyes and she could still feel his hands wrapped around her neck crushing her wind pipe. Caroline opened her eyes and threw the though out of her mind. She walked towards the restroom and leaned in the sink. She ran the cold water before splashing water on her face waking her senses. She slowly looked up in the mirror and saw a silhouette of a man. It was Tyler's. She quickly turned around, but was met with no one. She placed her hand on her forehead and rubbed it with pressure. She was loosing it. Tyler was dead. He was finally out of her life, yet he was still everywhere she looked. How was that even possible.
There was a knock at the restroom door causing her to jump and hit the cabinet. "Caroline, are you okay?" Klaus's voice asked with concern from the other end of the door.
"Yeah, just give me a minute." She called back giving herself a few slaps before opening the door with a smile.
"You were in there for awhile." He said walking towards her with the se cheeky smile.
"Yeah, well I was just thinking…"
"About what."
"Nothing really…" she said nervously bitting in her inner cheek. "I think I'm going to walk home, you know, just get some air." Klaus shrugged and grabbed his coat.
"That's fine I'll walk you."
"No!" Caroline said quickly causing him to raise his eyes brow. "I mean I just want to be alone."
"Did I do something? Was it last night?"
"What? No, no, no." She said waving her hands in front of her. "It's nothing like that. You're fine, you're more than fine you're perfect, and last was uhmmm. It was amazing and fun, and a little weird but the good kind." Caroline grabbed his hand and sighed. "This is just all so surreal. A months ago the first day on school to be exact was the first time I met you and it turn my whole life around. Now here we are about to graduate and everything is perfect. My life is finally seeing some good again, and it just a lot to take in at once. You e fixed my life and made it one that I don't mind living in, and I don't know how I would ever thank you for that. Thank you for making matter again."
"Love, you thank me everyday by being there for me. For loving me, for letting your son love me, and for letting me love you." Caroline smiled and laughed as he pulled her in for a kiss.
"I'll see you later, Klaus. Okay."
"Okay."
Lexi woke up to the smell of bacon. She smiled and put on a pare of shorts and a tank top. She quietly stepped out her room and listen to the sounds of Isaac laughing. She stood behind the wall and began to listen in on the conversation.
"If your are Klaus's brother, does that make you my uncle?" Lexi smiled as she heard Elijah's uneasy moan.
"No. Not necessarily you uncle, but I suppose our families will be closer."
Lexi stepped out from the corner and saw Isaac's confused face. "So you aren't my uncle?"
"No Isaac. I am not." Isaac's shoulder slumped as he picked a piece of the bacon up and bit into it as if it were Elijah's head.
"You cooked." Lexi smiled walking towards Elijah.
"Yeah well I figure you and Isaac would he hungry so…"
They awkward rocked back and fourth on their feet for someone to say something.
"When is mommy coming home?"
"She is on her way home as we speak." Lexi smiled walking towards the little boy and kissed him on the cheek. "Eat up and well take you to the park."
"You go to the park. I want to stay home and watch Toy Story with mommy."
"Fine but don't ever ask me to take you to the park again." Lexi shot back.
Isaac's mouth gapped open. Her pushed back his chair and ran to the room. "You don't love me no more." The four year old cried slamming the door.
Caroline felt the warm breeze hit her face causing her to smile. It had been almost 5 years that se has been too scared to walk alone because of the fear she had of Tyler getting to her again. She felt like twirling and dancing but deciding against it with the reason of not wanting to look like an idiot in front of everybody.
She kicked the rock that was I front of her feet a few time before she heard the sirens of a cop car speeding past her. She looked around and saw about 2 more past by her with speed. What was going on? Her heart dropped all she could think about was Isaac and she instantly regretted not taking the ride from Klaus. She took off into a sprint towards her house.
After awhile her heart was threaten to jump out her chest and her legs were ready to give out. The sirens were still clear in her head. She listen to the get louder and louder as she got closer to the house. After cutting past a path of tree that connected to her street she sighed in relief to see the sirens were not at her house.
She gave herself a few minutes before walking in the house. She saw Lexi on the couch with the remote in her head and her legs kicked up on Elijah's legs. It was a odd image to see. She didn't really know Elijah.
"Where's Isaac?" Caroline ask, walking to the fridge and grabbed a bottle of water.
"He is in his room. He wants to walk Toy Story with is mama." Caroline laughed and walked towards her room and saw Isaac laying in her bed tucked under the cover.
"Mom you're home!" He cheered jumping up.
"My baby." Caroline smiled jumping in the bed with Isaac. "What do you want to do today my boy?"
"I want to watch movies, than take a bubble bath."
"How about we take the bubble bath then watch the movies."
"Okay." Isaac's said jumping out the bed and began to strip as he ran to the bathroom. Caroline laughed and cased after him. She filled the tub half way and let the bubbles rise before putting him in.
"Now don't splash the bubbles everywhere do you understand." Isaac nodded as he climbed in the tub. Caroline watched to make sure it was too much water so that if he feel over he would be okay.
"I'm going to take a shower, just clean yourself and get out okay." Isaac nodded and began the four year old began to wash himself as Caroline quickly jumped in the shower.
After a few minutes she felt the glass door open and saw Isaac standing there with soap on his body. She sighed and moved over so he could walk in and get clean.
When they were done they both put on their underwear, baggy shirts and socks. Caroline fixed some pillows before crawling into the bed. Isaac, who put the movie in, ran back to the bed and leaned on his mothers chest.
She smiled as he laughed at a scene, or got mad because Buzz was trying to steal all of Woody's friends away. By the time the movie ended Isaac was curled up in a ball under the covers. His back was pressed up against Caroline needing to feel his mothers presences. Somewhere at the end of the movie Caroline also fell asleep with her arm wrapped around him and one under her pillow. They were cuddled together. Mother and son finally safe with nothing to fear.
Okay guys tell me what you think!:)
What were the cops for?
Where will Elijah's and Lexi's relationship led?
And to answer a few questions you may have here: no she will not be haunted by Tyler's ghost, she is just trying to get her mind around the fact Tyler could no longer hurt her, so to finally be Tyler free she needs to have him stop making his way into her mind.
And for the Caroline and Isaac part at the end of the chapter it was just because I realized I never really had a one on one time with just them so I wanted to show how much they love each othe and how happy they Both are.
And yes we will see more of Bill Forbes for the later chapters.
Well, hopefully I'll have the next chapter out by tomorrow.
