Spencer (P.O.V.)

I breathe in deeply, getting ready to tell Toby about what I have been keeping a secret for a while now.

"Before I can explain to you, Toby, you have to promise that you won't act irrationally. I promise that there isn't anything to worry about."

He just stares at me, waiting for me to talk.

"Even before you went away for a job, my boyfriend, Wren, was…. aggressive. He just started off yelling at me, getting upset when I talked to you, or Caleb, or any other guy. He would always accuse me of being interested in other men, and even cheating. One night, he got so angry that he hit me."

"Yes, Spencer, you already told me that." He said, looking away, already getting angry.

"No, Toby, what I'm trying to say is that he hit me multiple times. If he ever got angry enough, he would smack me or punch me. I always told myself that it wasn't a big deal. I even thought I deserved it. But then one night I was hurt to the point of hospitalization."

He snaps his head up and looks at me.

"Did he ever-"

"No, he didn't." I interrupt.

I continue, "Caleb basically saved me. I didn't dump him after the encounter I already told you about. He once grabbed me, but Caleb saw it, already knowing about him hurting me, so he intervened. I broke up with him after, and he went to get help for his problem."

He sits closer to me and holds my hand.

"He is still trying to get back together with me. I told him no, but he still tries to convince me. He did get help, though, and for a while he was alright but the day we went to the hospital after the bike ride, he hit me again."

He gets up and starts pacing while running his hands through his hair.

He stops and turns to me. "You mean to tell me that you were getting abused by that son of a bitch and you never told anyone?!"

Tears start running down my face as I walk up to him.

"Toby, I was scared. He is well known in town. People see him as the perfect man, and I didn't think anyone would believe me! I'm sorry, just please, don't do anything."

"How can you expect me not to do anything, Spencer? I care about you, and you know that. God, Spence, I don't know what to even think right now."

"Then don't think, okay? I'm sorry, Toby, I should have told you sooner."

He puts a hand on my cheek. "Spencer, I am just mad that someone put their hands on you, not you." He crashes his lips on mine.

We are laying in bed and I say, "Thank you."

"For what?" He asks.

"For not doing anything stupid."

One week Later

I have seen Toby eyeing a motorcycle for a while now, and he got a job in Yardley, but it will still be awhile before he could afford it.

However, Toby has been working on a house, and I decided to surprise him. I have been secretly saving up money for him.

Also, a while ago, Jason taught me how to ride a motorcycle.

I pull up to his job in the motorcycle, where I see him looking at me in shock. I get off, and as I toss him his helmet, he asks, "Are you crazy?" with a cute smile on his face.

I am right in front of him, leaning against the motorcycle.

"Do you have any idea how long it will take me to pay you back?"

"Well, you have a job to get to, in Yardley, right?"

He steps closer to me and says, "I love you, so much." That meaningful look on his face almost brought me to tears.

I sigh and bring him in for a kiss, which lasts longer than expected.

Jason (P.O.V)

"Aria, will you please Listen to me?"

"No, just leave me alone!"

I catch up to her and turn her around to face me.

"I am not just going to sit here and pretend like I didn't just see you making out with your English teacher at the bar!"

"It was a pub, and it isn't any of your concern."

"It is my concern when the girl I am in love with is doing shit that can get her into a lot of trouble!"

She walks away from me, and this time I let her.

Spencer (P.O.V.)

I am walking out of school, about to go home and meet up with Toby once he finishes up with his work, when someone grabs me. I don't know what is going on, but I know this isn't good.

I try to fight, but this person's grip is too strong. I am set free and turn around. "God, Toby! You scared the hell out of me! Why did you do that?!" I yell.

"I thought that I should surprise you." I give him my glare that tells him he's in trouble. He just smiles, pissing me off further.

I pushed him playfully and said, "You are an ass."

"You are beautiful." He says back. I roll my eyes but couldn't hide a smirk.

We are going home when we see Wren walk by us. He turns around and I could see the jealous look on his face, but he still smiles as if he is happy for me. Toby didn't seem to notice.

Once we get home, Jason is home. "Hello, lovebirds." He says teasingly.

"Shut up. Where's Noel?" I ask.

"He said he had to take care of something." He answers. We all sit on the couch and watch whatever is on.

Wren (P.O.V)

I am walking on the sidewalk when I see Spencer and Toby, holding hands. On one hand I try to be happy for her but I just want lash out at the both of them. She belongs with me, not Toby. I know how he is. He is always on a date with a new girl. I would never leave Spencer or hurt her. Well, not mentally.

I know I have hurt her in the past but I have gotten help and I just need a second chance. If that happened, I'd be the luckiest man in the world.

Aria (P.O.V.)

I wish Jason would stay out of my business. He has no idea what is actually going on here. I actually like Ezra, and I knew him before I even knew he was my teacher.

I still love Jason, though. But he put me through too much to take him back with open arms. How did I make things so complicated? No, it wasn't me, it was Jason. He did this. He made things difficult.

That is why I can't go back to him. Not now, not ever.
