A/N: Broke 60 reviews. This has really made my day. I'm just glad you are all paying attention and reading. Some might brag about being a good writer... however, I make too many mistakes to be considered a good writer. In all actuality, writing means nothing without great readers, to read the writings. So I thank you for reading what I've written. And as always, I don't own Fairly Odd Parents. One day I might be rich enough to buy them, but... today is not that day lol.
And, Just because Tootie will appear nicer in later parts of this chapter, does not change anything... Just wanted that noted.
(Tootie's PoV) (Very Short)
She watched them leave, and was gone for a couple days. She was livid... she'd taken Timmy off to seduce him. It didn't matter, she'd win Timmy over. All she has to do is time it right. What was Vicki driving for anyways? Of course, it was her left leg that was injured, so she would be able to drive. And Timmy seemed almost lifeless... maybe, just maybe he's started seeing that being with Vicki isn't all it's cracked up to be. Maybe he doesn't like it anymore than she did. Well she could fix that, if given the chance she could rescue him from Vicki.
(Vicki's PoV)
It was still early afternoon when Vicki pulled into the hotel parking lot, sitting there a moment. Tomorrow was when they signed the final papers releasing all assets into her trust, until Timmy turned eighteen. Legally she was already Timmy's guardian, but this made it seem so... final. She wasn't regretting her choice, not at all. Everything just felt so real now. She looked over to Timmy. He hadn't said much since all this began. He spoke only when asked questions by whoever it was talking at the moment, she could hardly keep up with all the names. Because of his age, they asked him if he wanted Vicki as his guardian. She had held her breath waiting for the answer, part of her thought he'd say no. When he said it was what he wanted, she knew then, he had truly forgiven her.
She called the hotel to make sure the rooms were ready. When told that their room was ready, she got out of the car pulling her crutches from behind the driver's seat. She actually wished Timmy was more like himself, though even now it seemed too much to wish for. Timmy carried their bags trailing behind her. He had barely spoken to her since he found out, barely spoken at all. She understood, it wasn't anything against her... it had to be a lot to take in, she couldn't even imagine what it would be like.
After signing in at the front desk, and was given a card key, she waved off the person that was supposed to help them to their room. It wasn't hard to figure out. First number on the card, meant floor number, and the other three were room number. They were not addle-brained puppies that would get lost.
She watch Timmy put the bags down at the foot of the bed, before sitting on it. She didn't know what was in town to do, since it was still early, but she imagined that Timmy wouldn't be up for it. Instead, she decided maybe a nice lunch. She might be able to convince him to take a nap. He hadn't slept much the night before. She knew, because every night since he found out, he'd slept in her room. He was quiet most of the day, but at night... when he thought she was sleeping, he would cry. It broke her heart to just listen, but she wouldn't embarrass him by letting him know, that she knew. Not when he was at his lowest... he'd come to her when he was ready, she knew it.
When the food she ordered arrived, and they had eaten... rather, she had eaten while Timmy just picked at his food. There were a couple of times where she thought he was going to say something. He would sigh, then go back to eating what little he ate. She put the trays on the dresser for someone to pick up later.
"Want to lay down for a while Timmy?" she asked, knowing that he would refuse at first.
"Not tired." She knew it was a lie. And she was sick of the short sentences he'd been giving... but she couldn't stay anything about it.
"Okay, but I'm going to take a nap." She said laying on one of the beds.
She waited and watched him weigh his options, and smiled when he crawled into bed in front of her. She put her arms around him, she imagined he would have fought it if he didn't get comfort from it. Comfort was something she was sure he needed. It wasn't long before he drifted off to sleep. The only problem was, she wasn't actually tired... she hadn't actually thought he would take the bait. Now that he had, she wasn't about to risk waking him up. So she closed her eyes, it felt like hours but she finally managed to drift off to sleep too.
"Done and done." Vicki said two days later, as she and Timmy walked out a glass building. She had just signed the last of the paperwork... Now she could tend to Timmy without having to worry about any of these idiots upsetting him with questions after questions. Though she couldn't completely blame them for doing their job. She just wished their job didn't require poking and prodding Timmy for answers, when he was fragile. "You want to grab lunch, or do you want to just head home, and we can grab something on the way."
"Home." Another short answer from Timmy. Then again, all this happened just three weeks ago. And now it was finally over. Maybe it would be for the best to head home. Timmy might start feeling better now that it was all over, and it wouldn't be drudged up again, and again. They got into the car and left the parking lot, she'd asked one of the staff to carry their bags down to the car, before they left this morning. She had been sure that Timmy wouldn't want to stay, and figured if he did another room would be available.
After stopping and getting lunch, which Timmy ate more than usual, they were on their way home. It wouldn't take that long, only about two hours. The only real reason they stayed in the hotel, was that she didn't feel like getting up at four in the morning to get her and Timmy dressed and ready, to get there by eight in the morning, and she could use a couple days before for relaxing. Since he finished his lunch, she debated stopping somewhere along the way home, and see if she could get him to eat something else.
It was a little before noon, when they pulled into the drive way of Timmy's... their house. Her's and Timmy's at least until Timmy turned eighteen. Then if he wanted her to go, all he'd need to do is say so. She just hoped after all this, she wouldn't be turned away. Even now seeing him at his lowest, she knew she had feelings for this boy. She didn't want to leave him, now that she was starting to feel human, which she was sure had everything to do with his kindness.
(Tootie's PoV)
She had just gotten off the bus coming from the mall, and started walking down her road. She had finally gotten everything off her mind since she saw Vicki and Timmy leave. When she noticed the black sedan in the driveway of Timmy's house. And that brought back every bit of jealousy that she had stuff down, back to the surface. Well she could always, pay her sister a 'visit'. She was in a cute little outfit, that was sure to make Timmy drool... it sure worked on the guys at the mall anyways.
She knocked on Timmy's door, and was surprised when Vicki answered it. Wasn't she supposed to be resting or something until she was healed. Not answering doors and driving.
"Uh... Hey Tootie..." Vicki looked at her, and she knew that Vicki didn't want her there for some reason... well she wasn't getting her way. Not Today.
"Hey Vicki, I came to see how you and Timmy were." She said sweetly, even though she felt like tearing her sister's hair out.
"Oh... we are good, here... uh... come in." She watched her sister move into the kitchen and sat down. After closing the door, she followed suit. Vicki pushed a bag from a fast food place in front of her. "Here... I couldn't get Timmy to eat it."
"What's wrong with it?" If Timmy wouldn't eat it, then there must be something wrong with it.
"Nothing is wrong with it Tootie, he just hasn't been eating much."
"Something must be making him loose his appetite." She looked at her sister, and hoped that she knew what she was implying.
"Yeah, after the news... he just hasn't been that hungry." She looked at her sister... what news? Was there something going on that she missed? No it was just an excuse...
"What news?" Now Vicki just looked at her.
"You don't know? Even A.J., and Chester came by... and that Trixie girl with that weird one, Veronica..." It was true she hadn't talked with her friends for a few weeks. They had kept making excuses not to see her. Then told her, that the wouldn't ignore Timmy for her. She was fine with them not ignoring Timmy, but they still stayed away. She looked at Vicki still wanting to know what this 'news' was. "Timmy's parents died in an accident."
"Ha ha, very funny. Seriously. What news?" Vicki shouldn't joke about someone's parents dying. The Vicki just looked at her. Oh God, she thought looking back at Vicki, this isn't a joke. "They're really..."
"Yeah..."
"What's going to happen? To Timmy I mean."
"Well we just got back from signing papers, making me his legal guardian... at Timmy's request." Vicki a guardian... And Timmy without parents. She couldn't figure out which was more shocking... Timmy's parents being gone, or that Vicki was doing something that wasn't selfish. "So, everything should stay pretty much the same as... oh Hey Timmy, how was you're shower?"
(Timmy's PoV)
He stopped drying his hair noticing that Vicki wasn't alone in the living room. Was it another one of his friends that wanted to see how he was? Then she turned and looked at him. Yeah, it was one of his 'friends'. He wondered what she was over here for. To make his life harder? Or to insult Vicki.
"It was good," he looked at Vicki, and didn't make eye contact with Tootie, but still said hello to her.
"Hey... look I... Vicki just told me about what... I'm sorry." Tootie said, and sounded remorseful. But then again, he'd heard that tone from Trixie, and Veronica. He couldn't tell then if it was real, or fake. But Tootie had been selfish these last month or so. And he didn't trust anything she said.
"Don't worry." He continued with what he planned to do. He'd come out for a drink. Once he had the drink he started back towards the bedroom that was Vicki's. He turned back to the two in the living room, only focusing on Vicki. "I'm going to lay down."
"Okay," He heard Vicki say before he went into the room. He looked around the room. He'd been in here countless times in his life. But since Vicki came here, it looked better in here. It felt better. It even smelt better. He wasn't sure if it was the scent she sometimes wore, or if it was Vicki's natural scent that just made the room appealing.
He laid on the bed, and curled up with his knees to his chest. He knew he was too old to cry like this, but he didn't know what else to do, as the tears ran down his face. Normally Tootie would have been the person he would go to if he had a big problem... is his world was shattering. But now he didn't even know if he could trust her... he only knew he could trust Vicki... Vicki didn't have to become his guardian... she could have bolted at first mention. But she offered...
"Timmy?" He didn't move when Vicki came in, closing the door behind her. He didn't make a sound as the tears continued to fall, hidden from her sight. He felt the bed shift as she took her place behind him... When her arms wrapped around him this time, like she'd done many times before, just to help comfort him. Instead of relaxing, he just started to sob.
