(Author's Note)
Hit 76 reviews, it slowed down with this chapter, but that hasn't discouraged me to continue, the story though. But this one is almost over. I could drag it out, but I have other fictions, as of right now I have 8 active multi chapter fictions... so I'm going to have to end some to keep up the work load. Don't worry, There might be other fictions I'll put out with Timmy and Vicki, soon enough. But I have to bring some of the other ones I've written to a close... or at least an ending that can continue with a sequel. That's my hopes for all my fictions. TO be ended in a way I can pick up if I ever get more ideas.
And as always, I don't own Fairly Odd Parents. One day I might be rich enough to buy them, but... today is still not that day lol.
(Vicki's PoV)
She had thought and hoped things would be better but she hadn't been right. The night they had brought Timmy back to the house... that night he seemed closer to normal again. But the next day he had become almost non responsive... taking her a couple tries to even get his attention. Even when she managed to get his attention, it seemed like he could barely grasp what she said. And each day that passed seemed to get worse.
The blank expression that she'd noticed before, was most of the time now. Either Timmy no longer could control it... or he just didn't want to try to hide the fact he was breaking anymore. She didn't like the fact that he had to hide something was wrong with him... but it showed he did feel something if he didn't want people to know. Now it was dis-concerning to see him like this.
Tootie, A.J., and Chester had all come by at one time or another in the past two months, to try to help cheer him up. Each time ended with the same results, Timmy listening to his friends for an hour, before telling them he was going to take a nap. He never took a nap, he would come back out of her room after they left, and return to the chair. Sadly, each time, he seemed to become more distant. It was slowly changing her too... she was becoming angry with him, which made her feel guilty. She knew that he had ever reason to be sad and upset... but she loved him. She didn't care if he distanced himself from everyone in the world... just not her. She could only help him if he told her what he wanted... what he needed to feel better... but he wouldn't tell her.
She watched him sitting in his char. He never went to his room anymore, didn't even go upstairs. Her room had become where he slept... with the exception of several times in the past two months. Each night she'd come out and check on him most of the night. He'd promised he wouldn't try again... and it wasn't that she didn't trust him. She just wanted to make sure... if he wasn't thinking straight, he might not remember the promise.
"Timmy?" she sat on the couch nearest him, and waited for a response that wouldn't come... twice more she called his name before his eyes locked on her face... that emotionless face that broke her heart a little more each time she saw it. "Timmy tell me whats wrong..."
"Nothing..." he continued to stare at her, maybe waiting for something else... she knew it wasn't nothing, he had to know she knew. So why was he being stubborn.
"I know something is wrong... I know losing your parents hurts Timmy, and I know you are confused since they were hardly around. I know the tension with Tootie hurt you too... and I'm worried about you." she felt the tears running down her cheek, which only reminded her of when he once wiped them away.
"Nothing is wrong." Blank... monotonic... she grit her teeth.
"Damn it Timmy! I've known you longer than anyone... I know you inside more than anyone... something is wrong... and if you won't let me help... then what's the point of this relationship we are forming..." her breath caught in her throat a moment before continuing. "or were forming. I don't even know anymore."
"Fine." There was something really ominous about they way he said that. And the blank expression that he had taken on didn't seem so blank now. "Maybe we shouldn't be in one then."
"No!" she shouted... not in anger but in fear... "No... please don't say that... you're angry... and..."
"What's the point of this relationship?" he repeated her own words... she didn't know if they were all he had heard or not.
"I... love you Timmy, and you love me... that's the point." She was barely holding her tears in.
"Maybe you should go home... you seem to be doing better on the stairs." His voice was harsh...
"Timmy I'm your guardian... I can't just leave you alone."
"Why not? My parents did... and now that I think about it... well you remember what it was like when you 'watched' me before." The verbal slap hurt more than anything else. He could have ripped out her heart... and she doubted it would have hurt her more. She had thought he'd forgiven her...
"Y-You... f-for...forgave me... you said s-so." She couldn't believe it. She only wanted to help. "But I can't leave... y-you might hurt yourself... or worse."
"Like you care." his voice was back to monotone... and he barely seemed interested in talking anymore.
She got up and went into her room. She leaned the crutches next to the nightstand after she sat on it. Timmy hated her... she thought he'd forgave her, and loved her now... maybe... maybe she didn't deserve that love. She had hoped against hope that she had finally found what she was looking for in life, what made her happy. Maybe, no matter what, what she had done, and how she had acted... would forever be unforgivable.

(Short)
He sat there staring at the wall. He wasn't stupid, nor was he deaf. He could hear them talking, even when they thought he wasn't listening. It didn't take them multiple tries to get his attention... he just was hoping they'd leave him alone. What did any of them know about what he was dealing with? What did they care? They didn't. Vicki might have cared in the beginning, but he saw how she was now. Too nervous to talk to him half the time, afraid anything she said might offend him if she said it the wrong way. Treating him differently. Yes he'd lost his parents... but he was still human right? He still needed contact with people... and not the contact that consisted of people walking on eggshells around him.
Tootie... he wasn't too sure what she was up to. One minute she was chasing him trying to get him to be her boyfriend... then she backed off... seemed to have been over him. He develops feelings for her, then her sister. Then not knowing about Tootie still caring about him... she goes nuts when she finds out about how he feels about Vicki. Then all of a sudden she's back to being friendly and alright with the whole situation? No, he didn't buy that for a moment.
A.J., and Chester... They were too easily persuaded to ignore him when Tootie asked... or demanded. Tootie was Vicki's sister after all. She could have easily blackmailed them or something. He couldn't trust people that would turn their back on him when crap hit the fan. It wasn't like he really cared, he'd been growing tired of them anyways. It was always fighting and arguing with them.
Then there was Vicki. She had treated him like crap most of his younger life. Then he doesn't hear from her in two years... all he knew was told to him by Tootie... then everything was supposed to have changed? It didn't make sense to him... He knew he had started having feelings for Vicki... even before she fell down the stairs. Could it all have been a set up? Could they all have been playing some elaborate game? No... Vicki and Tootie wouldn't... then again Tootie did spend a long time trying to get him to love her. And Vicki never came up short in the 'Torture Timmy Department' This all could be some form of payback. Ever since his childhood.
It actually went back to when he was younger... he couldn't quiet figure it out but something changed a couple years ago... and that was when ever thing had started. It was shortly after Vicki had left that night...
He was sitting alone on his bed sobbing... he didn't even know why he was crying... couldn't remember anything up to that point... most of his memories when he was alone were just gone. He didn't know if it had started happening before... or if it all happened at that moment, then when they were all gone, he finally noticed it. But he knew it coincided with Vicki's leaving. So she had to be at the route of all this.
Wait... wait... That wasn't what I was thinking about... Tossing Vicki out the house... he wasn't sure he could even do that with her being his guardian. In all honesty he didn't truly want her to leave... he just wanted to be treated normal, like before. He wanted someone to care about him and love him... not be afraid touching him would cause him to break. He wasn't fragile, Damn it. He'd only asked her to leave... said what he said, because she wasn't treating him like she had been. Where was that backbone that he loved in her? Where was the girl that smacked him? Hiding... afraid she'll break him.
Bringing up what she did in her past, was mainly him just trying to make her mad enough to leave... because she was going to leave eventually... everyone left. His parents. His friends for a while... there was someone else... no not someone... someones... but he couldn't figure out who they were... but they were important... had to be, or else he wouldn't feel betrayed by them leaving. But if Vicki was going to leave... it would be easier to have her leave on his terms. She couldn't hurt him that way.
(Vicki's PoV)
The next morning when she woke up, she woke up alone. She went out to check on Timmy, and he wasn't on the couch as usual... She had started to get worried when she heard a door upstairs close... it sounded like the bathroom door. She just looked down to the ground... okay so it was inappropriate for him and her to continue sleeping in the same bed. It wasn't illegal, she wasn't molesting the boy... they'd even agreed that neither of them were ready for sex. She didn't expect him to move back into his room.
He'd been downstairs to help her... by him moving back to his room, he must have been serious about her leaving. Maybe she should leave... just for the weekend. Maybe stay back at home, give Timmy a chance to cool off, and she'll return on Monday and see if things have changed... legally he couldn't make her leave. But she'd give him space.
She returned to the room packing up a few of her belongings, intending to return Monday. Slowly she got the items she needed into her car that she'd been using then went back in to write Timmy a note. She wouldn't tell him she was coming back, but she'd just tell him she was leaving. And that she really did love him. Sadly she wasn't sure if he'd even care.
"Timmy... I'm leaving." She called up the stairs. She didn't know if he even heard her, but this time she wasn't going to try and get his attention. Not this time.
She got into the car, hoping Timmy would come out and stop her. Hoping that she'd see him looking out of the windows watching her. She would check on him, or have Tootie and friends check on him to make sure he keeps his promise. But she couldn't just invade all his privacy... and she was giving him a chance to prove he could be trusted. Plus he was more angry than anything else. She stopped looking and backed out of the driveway and went the few driveways down to her house.
"Vicki what are you doing back... with your stuff?" Tootie asked as she walked/crutched, through the door.
"I'm going to stay here the weekend... Timmy... he... he asked me to leave." She had been on the verge of tears since she realized Timmy wasn't watching... and wasn't going to come down and stop her. "So I'm going to give him some space."
"What if..."
"That's why I need you and you're friends to check on him throughout the weekend... maybe have one of the two boys see if they can spend the night or something... I don't know." She carried what she could and Tootie brought in the little else she brought with her for her two days back. She told Tootie that she didn't want Timmy knowing she was coming back on Monday... that maybe he'd change his mind before then.
She couldn't tell what her parents thought about her return... at first they asked how she was feeling. When the cast would come off... normal parent things. Thought at dinner when she sat at the table with them, her parents and Tootie just looked at her... seemed to be surprised. Then again, she hardly ate meals with them... being with Timmy, she'd been so used to sitting at the table to eat. Maybe her staying with Timmy wasn't just good for him, it was good for her too.
Tootie had arranged a meeting for her and Timmy's friends to meet up at his house... to check in and see what was going on. What he thought about Vicki's leaving. It wasn't successful though, he said he didn't want company... but he would respond to their calls and texts... so at least they'd know that he was alright...
The next day was about the same, bu he responded to all texts, and answered calls from his friends. Tootie had told her, that she didn't know if Timmy was upset... or sad that she'd left. Because she couldn't really tell what he was feeling. Getting up and down the stairs was more work than she wanted... but she couldn't go back yet... not for another day. She went across the hall to Tootie's room.
"Hey, I just wanted to see how he was doing." She asked Tootie when she answered the door.
"Oh I was just about to call him... want to wait in here?" Vicki just nodded as Tootie dialed the number. "Hey Timmy..."
"Yeah?" Timmy's voice came over the speaker phone... guess Tootie figured that she'd want to hear.
"Just calling to see if you want to do something with me and the guys tomorrow." Tootie said sweetly.
"I don't know. Is uh... is Vicki doing alright with the stairs?" Vicki had to stop herself from answering...
"You are the one that told her to leave Timmy... but... the stairs are still difficult for her." Tootie said... and Vicki realized that her sister was almost as cunning as she was. "It was pretty mean to send her away like that, knowing she'd have a hard time. Not to mention bringing up the past... Timmy you forgave all that. That was really mean."
"I... I was angry... She wanted to know what was wrong with me... and I couldn't tell her... I can't tell her. It's the house... everywhere I look I see my parents... and I hate it here. But how could I say that? Where could we go? Even if we moved... she can't move boxes and stuff..." This was the first bit of emotion that he'd shown, since the night of the suicide attempt. "Besides... she'll end up leaving me anyways... so it's better if I cause it... then wonder why she left me... like everyone else."
Vicki motioned that she had to go... she couldn't listen anymore without saying something. He was scared, and pushing everyone away that could hurt him. It hurt her feelings some that Timmy could confide in Tootie, and not her. Then again Tootie had been his friend for a couple of years, maybe that made it easier for him... she didn't know... but it did make her feel a bit better to know that Timmy didn't hate her.
