I smile gently, feeling Chaos energy surge through me. It feels almost like Enerjak's power. Almost. My senses are heightened greatly, I'm pretty sure my eyes can see in pitch blackness and my ears can hear the lowest whisper. I'm letting loose so much power that sparks of energy come off my body every once in a while. Unlike Enerjak's power, this is pure energy, bright white light. The light of good, easily tainted by evil. But in my hands, it casts out all darkness inside me. Pure good, to stop evil.
Fear hisses as he paces on the far end of the room, "So you found my collection after all..."
"Yes. Thanks for the gift." I smile.
"I knew it was a risk, but I needed a distraction for you where I could keep eyes on you... It's of no matter now, you shall still fall today, and this time you will STAY down!"
"It would be easier for you to say 'Oh son, I'm so sorry about all this! I'll just leave quietly, and you'll never hear from me again!'" I smirk.
"I would rather swallow a barrel of acid," Fear seethes.
Spike tilts his head, "Dude, I know you're evil, but drugs are no good. Just say no…"
Fear glares at Spike, "I will have a special Hell set aside just for you…"
"It would be too good for him." Seis smirks.
I make my rings turn into swords, and they glow a brilliant silver. "Let's go, Pops."
Fear snarls, "Children these days, no respect, even for themselves..." He holds out an arm, and his blood seeps through his skin, solidifying into a wicked blade as long as his body.
I shoot across the ground, hovering inches from it. I slash at him quickly.
He deflects the blow, but I'm starting to make him work for it.
I don't let up, starting to stab at him like a jackhammer.
He dodges, and deflects, a few stabs getting in that quickly heal over.
I simply chuckle and increase my power output, making my skin impenetrable. I perform a Hyper Homing Attack, whirling my blades dangerously.
He leaps back out of the way, waving a hand. His blood flies into the air as a most before solidifying as a swarm of floating spikes. With a backhand he sends them flying at me.
I turn to face them, and I slow down time as I grab them one by one, forcing them into a ball of energy. When I have them all, I resume normal time as I convert fear to light energy, and spike it at Fear.
A look of shock crosses his features as it hits him dead-on.
I chuckle and cross my arms. "Hey guys, should I finish this already?"
Spike is wearing blue/red 3D glasses, and munching popcorn. "No please," he says around a full mouth. "Continue! That way in his next life he knows not to fuck with heroes."
Fear gets to one knee, "Kill me... And how does that make you better than me?"
"I never said I'd kill you. You're right, killing you would make me no better. No, I'm going to make sure you never want to come back, because you will know when you do, I will deck you again." I state.
He scoffs, "You really think anything you can do, even with this power, can do that? You, and your brother are living examples of my tenacity."
"We're also living proof that the world has more of those willing to save it than destroy it. And we will always band together to vanquish evil like you!" I shout, charging at him and firing a light beam as I raise my sword.
Suddenly the air feels thicker... Then all of us are blasted against the walls in one massive concussive wave.
Fear's body begins to change, yellow crystals poking through his skin all over his body into a armor that looks like it would shred you if you came anywhere near him.
The feelings of anxiety, and panic rise astronomically in the room as he balls spiked fists, Crystal cracking, then healing together as he does.
"It has been a worthy challenge my son, you forced me to my last resort. You will be well-remembered by me as my armies take this world by Storm!"
I turn up my power again, my fur turning a glowing white as my aura turns rainbow, freeing myself from the wall.
"Wrong, you will remember this as the day you lost to your step-child!"
He blasts a pulse of pure fear at me from his fist, the yellow energy arcing for me like lightning.
I combine my hands and fire a concentrated light beam, piercing through the lightning and striking him.
Crystals fly off his body, and more grow on his to replace him as he flashes in front of me, slamming a fist into my face. Energy discharges between us, crackling over us both like electricity which hurts like a motherfucker.
I slide back a few feet before firing energy from my feet, launching myself sideways. I start circling around him, blurring out of sight except for the crackle of energy falling from me and the light trail I leave behind. I pull out my Uzi and start firing, the bullets now encased in light energy.
More crystals keep flying off him, raining from the air like hailstones, but even more grow back.
I grit my teeth; none of my attacks can cut through his regen. If only I could use my powers while Hyper...
Wait, why the fuck not?
I smirk and skid to a halt. I press the button on my C.E.A, and the face pops up. I swipe it, and my stripes start alternating through colors. Colored electricity lances off my device, my Hyper form ubercharging all of my abilities.
He hisses at me, and balls dense energy between his hands before hurling it at me.
I watch them come at me, smirking and batting the first one away with my left arm, striking my device and making it slam shut, electricity flying off of it as the second one strikes my chest and explodes, shrouding me in smoke.
Fear shields his eyes, and then watches me through narrowed slits.
Magma!
I blow away the smoke with a wave of my hand, my highlights glowing like molten lava. I charge at him with a yell, throwing balls of lava at him.
He dodges them quickly, dashing forward, and slamming a knee in my gut.
I let him, and when he knees me, I slam my hands on his head, lava pouring from my hands and oozing down his head.
He hisses, and spikes stab through my hands, breaking off his head as he flies backwards.
I shake out my hands, thankful for "invulnerability." I switch abilities with a growl.
Blizzard!
He forms a volley of arrows with his blood, and fires them at me.
I wave my hand, and a dense blizzard fills the area, hail striking him from all sides and nullifying the arrows.
He curls in on himself, and with a battle cry he radiates heat from his energy. But it's not enough. Ice is building in the cracks between his spiky armor, slowing him ever so slowly.
I quickly switch again.
Thunderstorm!
A giant billowy cloud appears, keeping up the blizzard as electricity dances in the cloud. I point at him, and the hugest bolt of lightning shoots from the cloud, striking him with a massive boom.
He cries out in anguish as smoke envelops him, and he disappears inside it.
I don't let up, switching again.
Ulshade!
I flick my wrists, and I gain two of Shade's swords. They glow green however, and are bigger than my body.
I couldn't help but come up with a silly name for my attack.
"Hero's Charge!" I shout, shooting at him.
He looks up, throwing an arm over his head as he braces for the attack.
I bring one blade down for him to catch, and drive the other one straight through his chest. I start draining his energy, my energy spiking.
There's a flash of light... Then suddenly he is pure yellow crystal, dissolving into dust on my blade. The fear in the room slowly dissipates...
We've won.
I take a sigh of relief, snapping my fingers as I drop a level into Shade Hero. I deactivate the ability as I walk up to my friends.
"Did... we win?" Seis asks blearily, drunk waaaay off his rocker.
Smoke nods, dusting off his hands, "Yup! That's a wrap folks, break for lunch!"
"That was kind of anticlimactic." Chaos says, tilting his head.
"Which usually means this isn't over," Knuckles notes.
Spike punches Knuckles' lights out, "Shut the freak up dude! A win is a win! We all got stuff to do now!"
Sonic walks in with a chili dog. "C'mon Knux! Chill. The new guy handled it!
Antonio looks right. "If we're done here... how come there's still half a scroll bar left?"
"Eh?" Sonic blinks.
Smoke looks at Antonio, "I thought Midnight super-killed that joke."
"Aw, it's over?"
I turn to see Luna leaned up against the wall with her helmet off, actually pouting.
I turn to face her. "Really? Do you really want to fight us?"
She shrugs, "Not anymore, you guys take it too seriously." Ah smiles, and jogs over to hug Sonic, "See you this Thursday? Scarlet and I are bringing chilidogs!"
Sonic blinks before smiling. "Sure!"
"So... if she's not fighting..." Antonio frowns. "Who is?"
Luna shrugs, "I dunno..." She calls to the ceiling, "Hey Jolt, isn't the story supposed to be over soon?"
Tloj: Well... uh... ^^; We have an epilogue chapter to do after this... I guess I'll cut this one off early so we can have a super long one for the finale!
Spike bends his head out of the story, and looks down, "Yikes, that fight only took two pages of a PM thread..."
Cinder crosses her arms, "Well Hero WAS dead most of the last two chapters."
"Uh... unconscious!" I correct.
"Whatever, same difference!" Seis rolls his eyes.
Shade presses her lips together, "All in favor of the long epilogue?"
Luna looks around, "Uh guys, careful with the fourth wall breaking, or my brother might be tempted to show up..."
"Darn right I am!" Midnight stomps in. "I'm the resident fourth-wall breaker, and all I'm scheduled for is a crummy cameo?! How dare you Tloj! You know I'm your favorite!"
He looks around when no one responds to him. "Um... hello?"
He scowls. "Well fine! Since I have the whole ending slate to myself, I'll tell everyone that the authors thank you for reading this far, and wish you'd review the story.
