chapter 3

"I will come back to you Natsuki. Please wait for me."

Riiiing, riiing,riing...

A smash of something could be heard, followed by a growl and then silence. The person responsible for the commotion smiled, seemed pleased to what he has done. Then, he wrapped his blanket around his torso, in hopes to lessen the cold and returned to sleep.

A few minutes later...

One could hear a sweet sounding voice, approaching along with fast, light foot steps. Then, a cute seven year old girl emerges from the door holding an empty pan and a ladle with a disproving look on her face.

"ONIICHAN!" She called to the sleeping figure along with the rapid clashing of the cooking utensils.

"Mmm...be quiet Alyssa, It's still so early. Plus, it's Saturday today so I don't have any classes." The person in bed muttered sleepily.

The smaller child with a cute voice that called him seconds ago frowned, annoyed that her brother still didn't wake up. Therefore, with a sinister smile in her face she executed her plan B in waking up the person in bed. She make two steps back gaining a momentum in order for her to jump on the bed landing perfectly on the person sleeping.

"oof! aw, aw, aw... Alyssa, what was that for?" A grumpy chestnut haired guy spat to her younger sister, visibly unpleased unto what his younger sister did as evidenced by his furrowed eyebrow and grouchy countenance.

The blonde haired girl just sighed on her brother's grumpiness and forgetfulness. "Oniichan, you have an interview today remember? Does finding a job ring a bell?" She rolled her eyes when her brother's eyes widened and quickly sat up on his bed, which means he remembered what he would have to do.

"Oh no! What time is it already, Alyssa?"

Alyssa looked at her old watch before answering her brother. "It's already 8:30."

His eyes almost fell out of the socket. "Oh shit, I'm gonna be late. Why didn't you wake me a little bit earlier?"

His younger sister just let out a deep breath and answered. "I tried to wake you up a number of times earlier, I even heard your alarm clock loudly rang throughout the house." She stated as she watched her brother trip a number of times as he hurriedly changed his clothes, did something to make himself look presentable.

"Just hurry up or you will be late for your Nine o'clock appointment." Thinking that what she's supposed to do was already done, she got off the bed and started trudging towards the door. "Oh, after you finished here, come eat breakfast." Said Alyssa before she closed the door leaving behind the frantic actions of her brother.

What you just witnessed, is one of the daily routine of the siblings. Shizuru and Alyssa Fujino-Viola. Both have the same father but different mother. As it could be seen, they both have similar face, taken from there father and their eye color and hair came from their mothers. The older has a chestnut-colored hair cut in a cool fashion that would make any gender swoon. And add to it the effect of his red eyes that would burn anyone like the molten lava. The younger possessed a shade lighter for her hair, that could be prefered to as blonde with her eyes a shade of blue that could drown you like a deep blue sea.

As they have said, they possessed the best from their parents.

Unfortunately, an accident took the lives of their parents. Which left them orphaned. Sadly, parents left them nothing. So, at the tender age of 15 and 4, they already experienced so much hardships a child could only handle. They experienced living in the streets and they already witnessed how cruel people could become. But instead of being depressed of their situation, they used it to learn ways on how to survived.

In a small round table that ideally is just for two persons, the siblings enjoyed their simple made breakfast composed of a sunny-side-up egg and rice, courtesy of Alyssa. "Good luck in your Interview later oniichan, hope you could get a position in Kruger Corp."

"Don't worry, Alyssa. It's just a part-time job since I'm still in school. But, I will definitely get the job." Shizuru gave his younger sister a smile reserved only to her.

Alyssa worriedly gazed at her older brother. "Could you handle it, oniichan? You already have two existing job to support our daily needs."

Shizuru clasped Alyssa's hand to reassure her. "I could, Alyssa. This is just for us to have some extras."

Alyssa, just nodded. Knowing how stubborn her brother is, she could only support him all the way.

It's already three years since the start of their nightmare. Shizuru stood as the head of the family. Throughout all those years, she attended school and at the same time, work at different establishments to support their needs. It's really a blessing that both had gained scholarships for there education in the same school at Fukka Academy. Shizuru, now on her last year on high school, is a scholar because of her intelligence. While Alyssa, now on second grade,is a scholar for her voice. Thanks for that, right now, they have already established a small cozy house of their own.

After eating, Shizuru bid her sister goodbye. "See you later, Alyssa." kissed her forehead and ran his way to his destination.

"Take care, oniichan." She murmured as she stared at the her brother running further from her.

On the other side of town, a blunette woman was pursued by a couple of men in black suits.

'Why don't they just leave me alone?' She mentally yelled while giving all her might to outrun them.

The men in black were relentless. Not having any indication of slowing down.

The blunette on the other hand could now feel the burning in her chest as she couldn't anymore gain an adequate amount of oxygen due to running. The aching of her legs gradually becoming painful. 'Any minute now and I would give out.'

Suddenly, her vision from looking straight to the road changed into the cemented ground. She wasn't able to see the rock in front of her which caused her to topple down. That time gave the chance for the men in black to reach her.

They hastily restrained the blunette. Tightly clasping her hand behind back and gripped her shoulders.

"Let go of me!" The blunette screamed at them while struggling with all her might.

But what could a young girl do with two bulk men? Not giving up, she fought them even if it was futile.

'I wouldn't make this easy for you.' As she struggled and yelled profanities for protest.

"Let her go..." A deep, bone-shivering voice.

Then all of a sudden, she was freed. When she looked back, she saw the men in black lying face first to the ground. Shocked, Natsuki was left speechless.

"Hey, are you alright?" A cold voice asked her. When she raise her chin up, she saw a guy in a gray hoodie and a pair of ragged jeans with his back towards her.

The one in the hoodie turned to her when she didn't answer her. Her knees buckled after the adrenaline of the previous event dried out. That instant, the person in a hoodie abruptly catch her before her head dropped to the ground. Then she saw it.

'Red eyes.'

And that's the last thing she thought before consciousness left her.

And that's chapter three. I hope that got you excited for the next. Hate it or like it? I'm really, really sorry if you are disappointed that this is not a story that's usually a yuri. I think this is what you call GENDER BENDER.

The fewer the reviews, the longer time before I would update. My energy for writing coincides with the number of review I received from the previous chapter.
