A/n: I'm BACK!(cue thunder-clap), I apologize for the long wait for an update, and I hope this makes up for my long absence.

Larry gulped quietly before he walked towards the desk, and placed the papers the Agent 19 had given him on it and slid them forward before taking a couple of steps backward. A gloved hand reached out of the shadows and grabbed the papers, and retreated back into the darkness with the papers in hand.

Moments later the sound of papers rustling was heard, to which Larry wondered briefly on how the Director was able to read them without any lights. The next few minutes were spent in silence as the Director read over the information brought to him/her, "Is there something on your mind Agent 24?" asked the Director suddenly disrupting Larry's musing. "W-Well yeah" said Larry before voice the question on his mind, "Director how are you able to read those documents without any light?".

Mentally Larry cringed at how blunt his own question must have sounded to the Director, the rustling of paper stopped for a couple of moments which had Larry nearly fidgeting with anxiety. Finally the Director broke the rather awkward silence, "I'm wearing special glasses that allow me to see in the dark" replied the Director with minuscule amount of amusement in his/her voice at seeing of his/her agents nervous about asking such a simple question.

This peaked Larry's interest.

"Like night-vision goggles?"

"It's the same basic principle as them or so I'm told" replied the Director, the sound of rustling papers resumed showing that he/she had returned to reading them. Another stretch of silence seemed to fill the very room, Larry stood in the same spot he had been in since upon entering as he awaited dismissal or new orders. However nether seemed to be coming any time soon so he opened his mouth to ask his question, when he was interrupted by the Director.

"Agent 24 What are you still doing here?" asked the Director sounding genuinely confused, and though Larry couldn't see the Director's face he imagined that an eyebrow was raised slightly. "You haven't dismissed me sir!" said Larry as professional as he possibly could be given his training, though the Director was hidden in the shadows Larry got the impression that he heard the Director blink.

Finally the Director gave a slight chuckle "I guess I didn't did I" said the Director just loud enough for Larry to hear it, "Dismissed Agent 24 report to Dr. S for your next assignment". Larry gave the Director a crisp salute before turning on his heel and exited the room, the door gave a resounding thud as it closed. "Begin scan" said the Director suddenly in the silence of his office, a low whirring noise was heard briefly before a soft beep sounded.

"Scan is negative no listening devices found" said a digital voice that sounded vaguely feminine, the Director gave a small sigh of relief this wouldn't be the first time an agent tried bugging the Director's office for various reasons. "Lights on" commanded the Director and soon the entire room was illuminated, revealing a medium-sized room with bookshelves lining the walls.

Behind the Director's desk was a large mounted television screen which was currently blank, the Director's desk was well-kept with only a couple small piles of papers on it. The chair situated behind the desk was a black swivel chair with a back rest high enough to hide its occupant, slowly the chair began to turn and once it faced the direction of the door was the true face of the Director of the Agency was revealed to be...
