(Slick's POV)

This is getting ridiculous, we have been on this ship for days and not once has this girl said a word. All she's done is stay in this room and sat on her bed. I think the only time I've seen her get up is when she was pacing in the room. To be honest, though, I'm okay with that, what's really bugging me is that she barely eating her food, if she doesn't eat more soon, she get skinnier than she already is; I felt her arms once, and I could feel her bones. But I know why she's not eating, and it has nothing to do with her throat.

"You haven't touched your food. Is something wrong with it?" I know she won't talk, but at least it breaks the long silence. The kid looks up at me from her bed, I look into her un-emotional eyes, but she quickly looks at her tray of food she put on the floor near her bed.

"Look kid, you got to eat soon. You can't just stave yourself." She looks up at me, I could see her eyes moving, like she was thinking of something. Then she placed her hands around her neck, touching the bandages, I'm not falling for that. "Kid, Your neck can not still be sore that you can't eat without it hurting, so don't make that excuse." Then she immediately put her hands away from her neck.

(Imperfection's POV)

This guy is really starting to get on my nerves. Will he ever leave me alone? I mean he's been watching me ever since we got on this stupid ship! But I'm willing to admit I admire how observant he is, and how persistent he is. Maybe if I talk, he'll leave me alone, doubtful, but worth a try.

"My throat is still sore." I was able to talk normal volume so others can hear me, but I still can't yell. "But you're right, I can eat." No use of lying to this trooper. "Why do you care if I eat or not? I'll be dead soon."

Slick look at me confused once again. "What are you talking about?" Was he trying to hide something or was he just that damn stupid?"

"Come on, I'm not stupid. I know the minute we arrive, They're going to tell me that they have to kill me, that they have no use for a defect." I couldn't yell, but that didn't stop the anger burning inside me that gave me the urge to yell at the top of my lungs. Slick became silent again, much to my discomfort. I look at him to snap, but then I get caught looking into his eyes. They were like mine, but there was something different in his eyes than Cody's or Rex's. It may sound weird, but while I was looking into his eyes, I didn't see any anger, disgust, or anything threatening in them. They seemed rather...comforting. And that made me feel strangly calm.

"You really expect that to happen to you?" He asked me at last, making me move my eyes from his. I was going to snap at him, but some wierd feeling told me not to, so I just nod at him. He looked like he was thinking before he spoke again. "Listen, I understand that you're scared, but I promise you that nothing bad will happen to you, I'll make sure you're safe the entire time. Okay?"

Although I seriously doubt that nothing bad will happen, but when he said that he'll keep me safe, despite how stupid he sounded, it gave me some sort of reason to calm down and not yell at him.

I gave a small sigh before I spoke. "Alright Sir, I...I believe you." I'm NOT admitting to him that he made me feel calm, but I am admitting that I believe him.

"Call me Slick." He said, then he put his hand on my own, which felt rather uncomfortable again. Of course, I pull my hand away from his.

"Please don't do that again." I quickly stated. Then I heard him chuckle a bit, though I don't any reason for him to do that. Then he grabbed me the tray of food from the floor and put it on my lap.

"Eat up." He said. I only stare at the food at first, but I start eating it. While I do, I look at Slick a few times. He's still an annoying clone, but he's rather...nice.
