Day Care AU ~
AN: This was a request from ChangeofHeart505. Happy B-Day Kura! I hope they enjoy this. I know I enjoyed writing it. ~ Contains: Teasing. Mentions of HicElsa. Mischievous twins. And kids ranging from 2-10. ENJOY! ~
It was a normal day at the Arendelle Day Care center. Mr. Moon had sent two boys to Mr. Black's classroom for teasing two of the other kids. Two others were running laps in the day care's gym and the rest were being told a story or two.
Me: Wait! I'm getting a head of myself. My name is Overland Haddock. I write stories for those who request them. And today, well, I'm visiting the Arendelle Day Care center in order to inspire myself. Any-way. Let's get back to when it all started. The minuet I walked though the doors of the Day Care center. ~
It was around, 10:30 in the morning when I arrived. And the first thing that caught my eye, was the wall of art work near the left side of the hall. A man and two boys whom looked the same were putting up new paintings and drawing for the wall.
"Me first!" I heard the brunette boy say. The other, crossed his arms with a pout,"You went first last time Jackson!" He whined. I couldn't help but chuckle. Which startled the boys. 'Jackson' tugged on the man's shirt and he turned. He smiled at me as I waved 'hi'. "Manny? Who's that?" Jackson questioned still staring at me. "An old friend of mine," He answered. I chuckled again from his nickname. "Well they certainly picked a good nickname for you Matthew." I said as I walked up to the trio of males. Matthew. Wait, 'Manny' Moon smiled at me as he said,"It's good to see you again Overland Haddock."
I felt a small finger poke my bag and I looked down at a white haired boy who looked up at me and smiled. Revealing pure white teeth. "What's in your bag?" He questioned. I knelt down and answered,"Things I believe will interest you and your class." "Really?" Jackson perked up. I nodded,"I can show you. If your willing to let me enter the class room." The two boys nodded excitedly and opened the door to their classroom. Which was large to say the least. When I entered I saw about, 12 more kids around the room. I smirked to myself. Today was gonna be. Very. Interesting.
I looked to my left and saw what seemed to be a baby's crib. Two girls were by it. I walked over to them. "Hello," I said to them. A girl turned to face me and smiled,"Hi," She said,"I'm Elsa." "Nice to meet you Elsa," I said. I then peeked over and saw an orange haired girl sleeping. "And who's this?" I questioned a little quieter. Elsa smiled,"My baby sister Anna." I smiled. I had always wanted a younger sister. Or even a sister for that matter. Instead, I got brothers.
"Give it back Merwida," I heard a girl demand. I turned and saw a redhead and a blond fight over a green plush toy. I smiled to Elsa, then walked over to the other girls. I got a good look at what the two were fighting about. It was a green chameleon. I walked over to the redhead girl and knelt down placing my hand on her shoulder. "May I ask what happened?" I questioned. The two girls nodded and stood in front me. "I was paying with it and I was minding my own business when Merwida took him from me." The blond said. I nodded,"Okay." Then the redhead girl spoke. "I was gonna ask if she wanted t' play." "So, you took the plush toy and thought it was the way to ask her?" The girl nodded. "I suggest, that you give her the plush toy back and ask her nicely." The red haired girl obliged,"Here Rapunzel." Rapunzel smiled as she took the plush toy from the redhead's hands. "Thanks Merwida," She said,"Let's go play." The two girls then left.
I stood up and took my notebook out of my bag. I began to write. About five minutes later, someone bumped me in the leg and spilled paint onto my paper. "Oh!" The person said,"I am so sorry!" I looked up and saw a woman with around five open jars of paint in her tanned arms. "It's okay," I answered,"Need help?" The woman nodded to me as I put my notebook in my bag. She handed me two of the jars and lead me to a table where five kids were painting. I saw two more girls and three boys sitting at the table waiting patiently for the paint. Three kids had really blond hair. Kinda like Rapunzel, but much shorter. One had ebony hair with darker ebony streaks. His skin was tanned and he looked as if he had just came from outside. The last one had auburn brunette hair and the cutest freckles I had ever laid eyes on.
"Okay," The woman said as we placed down the paint,"I got the red for Astrid. The black for Terrance. The blue for Kristoff. The brown for Felix. And the green for Henry." They smiled as they resumed painting. I took out my camera. "Is it okay if I took a few pictures?" I questioned to the woman whom smiled and nodded at me. I began taking pictures of the kids drawings and the rest of the class. Terrance had painted a really good painting of a dragon which he allowed Henry to dub it,"The Night Fury." Astrid painted a viking symbol which was more then life like. They were all so amazing. I still don't know which ones my favorite.
Soon the kids all went out to play. I decided to sit under a tree and write more for my website.* Soon, someone walked up to me. "May we sit with you?" It was the woman form earlier and Elsa's younger sister, Anna. I nodded and they sat beside me. "I'm Tanya Memoria," The woman said to me reaching out her hand,"Everyone calls me Tooth." I smiled and shook her hand. "I'm Overland Haddock," I said,"It's nice to meet you." Anna's eyes grew with wonder as I continued to write in my notebook. Soon I heard Matthew call out to two boys. "Shaun! Hans! Come here for a moment please," He said. Knowing Matthew and his family. No one was to be told twice on what to do.
The two Boys went over to Matthew an I looked towards my left to see Elsa, Henry, Jackson and his twin brother all sitting on a bench. I give my notebook to Tooth for her to hold and I walk over to them. "Why the long faces?" I questioned to the group of kids. Henry sighed,"Snotlout and Hans were being mean." I raised an eye brow,"How so?" "They were teasing Hiccup about him liking Elsa," Jackson said as he patted Elsa's back gently.
I looked over and saw Matthew talking to another teacher at the day care center. He had a long white beard. He wore a red shirt. Large black trousers. Large black shoes. And a jolly smile. I swore he was St. Nicholas. They nodded to each other and Matthew called all of the kids inside. Tooth came up to me and handed me my book. She, Anna and I then went inside with the others.
We all got inside and sat on a rug in the middle of the room. North was about to speak when I cut him off. "If it's alright," I said, getting out fourteen small boxes from my bag,"I have some items here for the kids." North smiled and the other kids faced me. I got up and handed two boxes to Jackson and his brother. Then to Astrid and Felix. Then to Merida and Rapunzel. Then to Elsa and to Tanya whom had it for Anna. And then to Terrance and Kristoff.
The girls opened their boxes and I saw them smiling. I saw small smiles on the boys faces as well. "Did you make these?" Elsa questioned. I nodded,"Though, it took me some time to find the right charms." "These are so cool!" The white haired boy exclaimed. "Jack, inside voice," Tooth scolded, getting 'Jack' to blush out of embarrassment. Rapunzel, Merida, Astrid, Elsa and I all chuckled. Then North cleared his throat and began his story.
The story was about a prince whom was turned into a chameleon and had to earn a kiss from the princess with the fairest heart. Though, a wicked wizard stole and hid the princess away. The prince saved the princess and they got married, etc. etc.
Jackson played the prince. Rapunzel played the princess. Terrance played the wizard. And, of course, everyone else were people of the village. It was rather interested to say the least. Anna had fallen asleep in the middle of it and I helped Tooth put her down for an afternoon nap. When I looked at the clock, it was almost two. "I need to get going," I said to Tooth whom gave me a confused look. "How come?" She questioned. "I'm supposed to meet with a friend in forty minutes," I explained. Earning a smile of understanding from her. I said good bye to the other kids and they all ran up to me and hugged me around my waist.
"Your not leaving are you?" Rapunzel questioned as she started to cry. "Ye are coming back right?" Merida questioned,"Ye have to!" " . .pleeeeeasssseeee," Terrance begged. I smiled and knelt down to their level. "And I shall," I answered. To my delight the sad faces of the other kids brightened into smiles and giggles. Elsa then walked up to me and hugged me tight. I never knew the five year old had such a strong grip.
I hugged back after a moment. "Please," she said to me like a whisper,"Please come to make us smile again." I smiled. "Don't worry Elsa," I replied to her,"I'll always. And I mean it. I'll always, wherever you may be. I'll always be there to make you and your friends happy." I then stood up, grabbed my bag and walked to the door. I was about to open the door when I felt something around my neck.
I looked at my chest and gasped. It was Elsa's necklace which I had given her and the kids. I turned and she smiled as she held her necklace in her hands. I looked at her confused when she smiled. "I made it for you as North read his story," She explained,"To thank you for the one you gave me." I smiled. "Thank you," I said as I opened the door to go back into the hall. She smiled and waved good bye as I left the class room. I walked down the hall and knocked on a door. I waited a few moments until the door opened.
I entered and saw a man with black spiked hair sitting at a desk as two of the three kids looked at me. "Overland Haddock," the man grumbled to me. I managed not to scream at him. "Piercton," I muttered. "What do you want?" He questioned dryly. I sighed as I took out four boxes from my bag. I placed them on Piercton's desk and he raised an eyebrow. "Before they leave," I explained,"Give three of these boxes to them. They have their names on the boxes. Then give the fourth to Matthew." I started walking out of the class room when Piercton called,"And if I refuse?" I didn't even have to look at his golden amber eyes to picture his reaction. I quickly dug into my bag, pulled a sharp edged letter opener from my bag and from where I stood, I threw it at the wall. Right above the older man's head.
"Be glad I'm not Sakura, Piercton Black," I growled making the older man nod. I then threw my hair back and left the room. I left the building and found my car instantly. When I got in I did the usual routine in turning the car on, putting my seat belt on, etc. etc. It then took my twenty minutes to get to the mall.
"So," Kura said as I took a sip of the ice latte she was so generous in getting me,"Anything exciting happen today?" "I went to the Arendelle Day Care Center," I answered. "Really?" Sakura questioned as Kura snuck a bite of her sister's lemon cake. I nodded,"I saw Matthew and Piercton." Kura flinched at the other man's name. I chuckled,"I also met the kids you told me about." "You gave them the necklaces?" Sakura questioned. I nodded,"And one of the girls gave me this one as a 'thank you' gift."
And that's how my day went. From meeting kids and making promises. To almost killing a man with a letter opener and sipping coffee at StarBucks. Over all. It was one exciting experience! ~
AN/ Okay. Once again Happy Birthday Sakura Yami! (ChangeOfHeart505) Hope u enjoyed your present! Have an awesome day my friend! ~ Overland Haddock ~
