(Sis' POV)

"Sis, can you clean this for me?" Kix asks me, giving me a tray, I believe it's the one he uses to hold and carry his medical supplies.

"Sure Kix." I tell him and I grab a rag and begin to clean. As I was cleaning the tray, I decided to talk a bit more, to pass the time. "Sir, can I ask you something?"

He looks at me. "Sure. What is it?"

I hesitated a bit, but I ask him. "Do medics ever go on the Battlefield? To fight?"

When I faced him, it looked like he was thinking it over. "Not always." He says. "But sometimes we will, just not always."

I nodded, but then I began to think about the other clones. It's been some days since I began to work with Kix, but I haven't really been paying attention to how many days exactly. But I know it's also been that long since we left the planet we were on when we met. And that long since I had another talk with Slick. Sure, I saw him from time to time, and we would talk about how we were doing, but it wasn't the same as before, It wasn't as nice or as comforting.

After I finished cleaning the tray, I hand it back to Kix, and he checks it to see if it's really clean.

"You did a good job." He tells me, my face grows a bit warmer as I gave a small smile, it happens whenever I get a compliment like that, I suppose it's because I'm not really used to that, but I want to.

"Sir, When you said you wanted an assistant, did you mean an actual assistant or just someone to clean for you?" I ask. Since I started working for him, all I seem to do is just clean up after him. Aside from keeping a clean and organized work area, what purpose does any of this have?

Kix chuckled. Why did I say that was funny? "Both." He says. "As my assistant, I will teach what you need to know, but for now, I need you to help keeping this organized." I roll my eyes, but I nod as well, because he does have a point. "Why did you ask if we go on the battlefield?"

I shrug. "I just wanted to know." To be honest, I asked because that was originally what I was created for. But now I'm training to be a medic instead of a soldier, I'm just still trying to adjust to that idea. Pretty stupid, huh?

(Kix's POV)

Since Slick talked to her, I have to admit that things have actually seem to be getting for her. She's talking to me more often, I catch her smiling, and it's been a while since she's even yelled at anyone. Anyone can tell that she's really trying to be better than she was before.

"Sis, can I ask you something?" I ask her. She looks at me, a bit surprised, but nods. "How do you feel? I mean since you're training to be a medic instead of a soldier."

She looks like she was thinking it over. "I honestly don't really know how to describe how I feel." She admits. "But so far, I feel more like a cleaning girl than an actual medic."

I couldn't help but chuckle at her again. I know it's a bit rude, but sometimes, She can say something that can make me laugh without even trying to. "Don't worry. I will teach you what you need to know, but you have to start somewhere." She nods again.

"How's her training going?" A voice asks. I turn and see General Skywalker, and with him was Captain Rex and Slick. Sis walks up and stands next to me. I noticed that she was smiling again, I assume it was because Slick was here.

"So far, it's going good." I say. Sis rolls her eyes, but she nods.

The General studies her a bit. "Kix, can I talk to you for a bit?" I nod. He and I step out of the room, leaving Slick and Sis alone.

(Slick's POV)

The minute those two left, Sis immediately hugs me, and I hug back. "How has your training been.?" I ask.

She rolls her eyes. "Fine. If you call cleaning after Kix training." I chuckled at her. Her and I began to talk about how we were, and that we were happy to see each other again. But when I began to talk about our next mission on Christophsis, she began to get concerned. It was actually kind of sweet, knowing how much she cared about me.

"Can you at least promise you'll come back alive?" She asks.

I nod. "I promise, you know I keep my promises. Besides you'll be coming too. This will be good practice for your medic skills, I guess."

She smiles at me again. Then Kix and General Skywalker return. As the General begins to leave, I say good-bye to Sis and I follow him.
