(Sis' POV)
"What is happening on Christophsis, Slick?" I ask Slick. After we arrived at our base on this planet, I decided to talk to him some, before I get back to work with Kix.
"Separatists." He tells me. "Their causing trouble here and the people of Christophsis want our help." I can't really tell, but when he said that, it sounded like he was a bit annoyed, but it's hard to tell.
"Are you okay?" I ask him, I wanted to know what was wrong. "You sound a bit...annoyed."
Slick looks back at me, but not directly. "Sis, I'm fine." I don't believe him, he sounds a bit distracted now.
"I don't believe that." I tell him. "Slick, come on, you can tell me anything. I won't tell if you don't want me to." He was there when I needed to talk, I should be there for him now. He's my brother.
Slick sighs. "Do you ever feel like a slave?" I was honestly shocked when he said that. I wasn't expecting him, of all clones. I wanted to ask him where that came from, but the words were stuck in my throat. "Never mind, sorry I even asked." I wanted to tell him that he didn't have to apologize, but his question still shocked me a bit. "Let me make it up to you, Sis. Let me introduce you to my men."
I smiled at him. That time, he sounded like the Slick I know. "Yes, Sir." He lead me to his barracks, when the doors opened, I saw some more clones. There were just talking to another, but one was busy cleaning his weapon, rather thoroughly. Slick was walking to him, and, of course, I follow him. But then I bump into another clone.
"Watch it!" He snapped at me. When I got a better look at him, I recognized those scars. He's the same clone I had a fight with! I believe his name was Chopper. I think he remembered me too, the way he's glaring at me tells me that.
"Sorry." I say, probably a bit quickly. I walk away from him, I had to, I didn't want to do something I would regret. I felt his glare look at me the entire time, I got a cold feeling down my spine, then I closed my eyes, to try and not think about him. Please stop looking at me.
"He's gone." A voice said. I open my eyes and turn my head and I see another clone looking at me, a nicer look. "Hey, you're Sis, right?" I nod at him. "I've heard about you. I'm Sketch." He extends his hand and I shake his hand. I observed him better, he looked any other clone, he had hair like Cody, but he had markings, I'm guessing a tattoo, over his left eye.
"Nice to meet you." I say. I don't want to seem rude by not saying anything.
Sketch smiles at me. "Nice to meet the girl the Sergeant talks about." Slick talks about me? My face gets warm again. "You two best friends or something?"
I shrug. "I suppose you could say that. By the way, who is that, the one Slick's talking to?" I ask him, pointing to Slick and the clone he's talking to, the one who I saw cleaning his weapon.
Sketch looks in that direction. "That's Jester. He's not that hard to find, after every mission, he cleans his weapon immediately. Even takes his time to make sure it's really clean." I nod, understanding him. Then he points to two other clones. "And over there are Gus and Punch. The bald one is Gus." Then then would make the other guy Punch. "And I assume you already know Chopper."
I nod. "I've...bumped into him once before." That was partially the truth, but I'm pretty sure he already knows.
"Yeah. I've heard about that." Yep, He knew. Seems like there's no such thing as secrets here. "I was actually surprised that you didn't snap back at him when he bumped into you. He may be rather aggressive, but there's no reason to be scared of him.
"I'm not scared of him." I say to him. I wasn't angry at him, but I am slightly offended by that. "I just didn't want to get into anymore trouble because of my...issues with him."
"Hey Sis." Slick walks up to me. "You better get back to Kix before he thinks you're slacking off on your work." That's right! I almost forget about Kix. I nod to Slick and Sketch, and I began to leave. "Need me to escort you back." Slick offers, being the nice guy he is.
"No, I know my way. Thank you, though." Then I starting heading back to Kix.
