Jack sighed as he sat outside the auditioning room that the producer were able to obtain for their casting time. Why was Jackson Overland there you ask? Well, he heard about that auditions were being held for DreamWorks' new movie 'Rise of The Guardians' and decided to give it a chance.
"Hey," His boyfriend, Hiccup Henry Haddock the III, said,"You'll do great." Jack gave him a smile a pecked his cheek. "Jackson Overland," A woman called, looking at a clipboard. Jack sighed as he stood up. He then walked over to the room.
"Hello Mr. Overland," A man said as he entered the room,"What role would you like to audition for today?" "Um," Jack answered,"Which ever one you prefer." The man looked over the row of scripts and lifted up one that said,'Jack Frost' Handing it to Jack.
Jack walked to the center of the room. "We're just gonna be testing your voice," The woman from earlier said,"So don't worry. You can read off of the script." Jack nodded,"Which scene do I start with?" The man turned a few pages of the script he held. It said 'North'. "Turn a good two pages and look at the top of the page," He said.
Jack nodded, turning the exact number of pages. "Now, Just say the lines highlighted in your script," The man said. Jack nodded. "There he is, Jack Frost," The man said, reading off of the script in front of him. "Wow," Jack said,"You gotta be kidding me- Whoa, hey. Put me down."
"I hope the yetis, treated you well."
"Oh, yea. I love being shoved in a sack and tossed through a magic portal."
"Oh, good, that was my idea. you know Bunny obviously."
"Obviously."
"And the Tooth Fairy."
"Hello Jack," The woman said,"I've heard a lot about you, And your teeth!"
"My-My what?"
"Open up, are they really as white as they say? Oh-Yes! Oh, they really do sparkle like freshly fallen snow. Girls pull yourselves together, let's not disgrace the uniform."
"And Sandman," The man said again,"Sandy? Sandy? Wake up!"
"Whoa, hey. Anyone wanna tell me why I'm hear? That's not helping but, thanks little man. I must've done something REALLY bad to get you four together. Am I on the naughty list?"
"Ha! On naughty list? You hold the record."
When they were finished, Jack put the script he used back on the table. "Actually," The woman said,"Keep it." "You sure?" Jack questioned. They nodded. "Your voice is exactly what we look for in our characters," The man explained,"So, welcome Mr. Frost, You're a Guardian." Jack smiled excitedly,"Thank you so much!" "Be by the studio to meet your cast members on Friday, 8:45, ok?" The woman said. Jack nodded,"Thanks again!"
He then exited the room. He saw Hiccup standing up by the end of the velvet rope. He ran up to the freckled teen and hugged him tightly. "Someone's excited," Hiccup said,"What happen-" "I got the part!" Jack said excitedly. Hiccup smiled,"I knew you would." The two then left the mall.
On Friday, Jack was overly excited. He was just bouncing off the walls when he got back with Hiccup from the mall that Wednesday, telling his mom and his sister that he got the part, only to find out that His sister got a part in the movie as well. She had auditioned for the part as a little girl whom Jack Frost forgot as his sister. As what the people had said.
And when She and Jack got to the studio that morning, they were welcomed with open arms. "There he is," A large man said, gesturing to Jack,"Jack Frost!" Jack chuckled. "Jackson Overland," He said, shaking the man's hand,"Nice to meet you, uh..." "Nick," The man said in a thick Russian accent,"Nick Sanders, I play North." Jack nodded. "Come," Nick said,"You must meet the others!"
Nick showed Jack around the set, it was huge! "Thia! Aster! Peter!" Nick called,"He's here!" Three people came from around the corner. "Oh hi!" Thia cheered, hugging Jack rather tightly,"I'm Thia Retina, I play the Tooth Fairy." "Jackson Overland," Jack said. "Aster Mandson," Aster said, in a thick Australian accent,"I play the Easter Bunny." "Peter Bryan," Peter introduced,"I play Pitch." Jack chuckled. "Jackson Overland," Jack said, shaking his hand,"Nice to meet you Three." His phone then rang. "If you three will excuse me," Jack said, moving away a bit.
"Hello?" He said, answering his phone. "Permission to speak to the wonderful and mighty Jack Frost," Hiccup joked,"This is his boyfriend waiting for an answer." Jack chuckled,"Permission granted." "How does everything look?" Hiccup questioned. "It's amazing!" Jack answered,"Aw, Hiccup. You have to come see this for yourself." "Maybe I'll come by some time," Hiccup said,"Well, I'll call you later ok?"
"Awwww~ Don't hang up on me now!" Jack teased. Hiccup chuckled,"Go, you famous movie star, You have no time for me right now." "I'll always have time for you," Jack said,"I'll pick up when you call." "I know," Hiccup said,"Call you later, yea?" "Yea," Jack answered,"Love you, my dragon trainer." "Love you to," Hiccup said with a chuckle,"My winter sprite." They then hung up.
5 Months later ~
"I'm so excited!" A girl cheered as she walked through the store with her friends. "I know!" Another said,"I wonder what he's like." "He's probably dreamy~!" Jack chuckled as he saw what the girls fussing about, it was a poster of him as 'Jack Frost' from the movie that DreamWorks swore they were going to release in November. 'Jack Frost is more then a myth. November 21st' it said, also having a picture of Jack in the make-up the producers had him wear for the photo shoot.
Jack came home that afternoon to see Hiccup watching the second trailer that the animators released of the movie. Hiccup turned the TV off when it was over. "Jack," he said, facing the other male,"Can we talk?" "Sure Hic," jack answered,"What's up?" "I...I think. We should lay low about this," Hiccup replied. "Lay low on what?" Jack questioned. "Us," Hiccup answered,"The fact that we're dating." Jack had to force his jaw from dropping. "Why?" Jack questioned.
"Because Jack," Hiccup answered,"You're Mr. Famous Movie star now and I'm just. Me." Jack sat next to Hiccup and kissed his cheek. "I don't want to be know as the non-celeb boyfriend," Hiccup said,"Besides, the media will be sure that you get fired." "Like that's gonna happen?" Jack joked,"Everyone at the studio knows about us." "What?!" Hiccup looked at Jack like a fish about to have it's guts removed.
"Yea," Jack answered,"I kinda, told the others that we were together." "And what did they say?" Hiccup questioned. "That they're cool with it," Jack answered,"Though...I think I may have made Thia slightly jealous." "So I have someone after my boyfriend?" "Yea," Jack replied,"But don't worry, I am never gonna leave you."
"Should I be concerned though?" Hiccup questioned,"I mean, they don't even know me." "Yea they do," Jack answered, getting up to get a soda from the fridge. "What?!" "Like I said," Jack answered,"I told them about us. They wanted details on what you were like, so, I gave them the basics." "Thank gods," Hiccup sighed in relief. "Yea," jack said,"Besides, I'm not the type of boyfriend who says EVERYTHING about their lover. Cause, I know when to keep my mouth shut." Hiccup chuckled,"So, how easy was it for the others to take it?"
"Very easy actually," Jack said, sitting back on the couch,"If anything, I'm not the only one at the studio who's in a gay relationship." "Really? Who else?" Hiccup was very interested now. "Aster," Jack answered,"Turns out he's dating a guy named Noah*, he came by the other day. You would like him, you two have so much in common." Hiccup hummed as he sat closer to Jack. "Just," he said,"Let's lay low for now, ok? At least till the movie blows over." Jack nodded and kissed the top of Hiccup's head. "Ok," He said.
5 months later ~
"Hiccup! I'm Home!" Jack said as he came through the door that afternoon. "Hey," Hiccup said, kissing Jack's cheek,"How was work?" "Fun," Jack said,"I got you something." "Really?" Hiccup said,"Jack, you really-" "Shut!" Jack interrupted,"Here." He then showed Hiccup a movie ticket. "Jack, I..." Hiccup said. "Red Carpet premiere," Jack said.
"Jack," Hiccup said,"There'll be lots of media and reporters! Not to mention that I have NOTHING to wear for an event like this." "Already taken care of," Jack said, showing a newly bought, black leather suit,"With a dark green waist coat and light green tie to match." "Jack..." Hiccup said unsure,"If I show up, I'm sure Thia will kill me." "Why would she do that?" Jack questioned,"She's dating Peter." "Really?" Hiccup questioned.
"Yea," Jack answered, "We were talking about who we were gonna bring with us to the premiere and she said she was bringing Peter. Aster's bringing Noah. And Nick's bringing his daughter, Elsa. And she told me that she WAS jealous about you when I told them about you, but since she started dating Peter, she told me that you have nothing to worry about." "Oh," Hiccup said.
"SO~," Jack said,"Will you come?" "Fine," Hiccup answered,"But only because it looks like you're begging." "I'm persuading," Jack corrected,"I would be begging if we were in a different situation-" "I'm gonna go change now!" Hiccup said taking the suit and the ticket from Jack's hands. Jack chuckled.
This was gonna be awesome.
