Chapter 9
Hey guys and gals. I'm sooooo sorry for not updating for who knows how long. But I finally got word working. So I now can. I hope you don't mind. Anyways, here I go.
Yamato's POV
It's been about a week since I woke up. Suzuka and I have gone on dates, I got my school work caught up (wasn't an easy task what-so-ever), and I was lucky enough to not have to make up the school year. Now I'm walking with Suzuka, it's summer break. I don't really know where we're going. She kinda just woke me up this morning and made me get dressed and walk with her. I was soo tired I forgot my phone so I hope my Aunt doesn't call.
"Hey, Suzuka. Um, where exactly are you taking me?" I asked curiously. It was really bugging me that I didn't know. I honestly felt like I should.
She stopped and stood there for a few seconds. Then she spun on her toes till she was facing me. She looked annoyed. "You're serious, you don't know?" was all she said. We just stood there in complete silence for a bit. It eventually got awkward since people started staring. "I just told you yesterday, plus I gave you a hint this morning."
I was still lost, but decided to try and remember. I went through all the events from yesterday, but couldn't think of anything. So then I tried the same with this morning. Let's see:
Flashback
I heard a knock on the door. What time was it? 5:30, who would be here at 5:30? Oh well, I'll just try to ignore them. Another knock said otherwise as it was even louder. I decided to get up and see what was going on. When I got to the door I noticed Suzuka outside. I didn't even have time to ask what she was here for before she walked in and started telling me to grab my clothes and not to forget my…
Present
"I got it." I stated a little louder then I meant to, which earned a jump of shock from Suzuka. "You told me not to forget my swim trunks, so we're going swimming." She smiled as if she was the one to just remembered, which I didn't understand what-so-ever.
"Congratulations, you remembered. But do you know where. And you only get one try. If you're wrong then I get to punch you cause one of the answers is kind of stupid and I don't get why you'd say it."
I felt like I was on some kind of game show. A painful one, but you get the point. So, let me think. "The aquatic center." I stated, confident.
Unfortunately I was wrong and gut a slug to the arm. Not that hard, but it did make me flinch. "No, genius, the ocean. Now why would we go to the aquatic center on such a beautiful day? That just doesn't make sense."
Now that I think about it, she was right. "But in my defense, you also woke me up at 5:30 so I'm still a little too tired for this guessing stuff. I mean, come on. Cut me some slack."
"Now that wouldn't be any fun." She stated before giving me a playful wink and running away. And I wasn't just gonna let her get away. No, that would just be letting her win. And that wasn't even close to how this was gonna end. I was going to win.
I sprinted as fast as I could, trying to catch up to her, and, as usual, I did. I wrapped my arms around her waist and hoisted her up and spun her around. But not just a few times, no. I did it until she was so dizzy that she almost fell over. She started yelling at me and saying she'd get back at me later, but I didn't really care. It was fun.
When we finally got to the beach I changed into my swim trunks and dove in head first. She was a little scared to come in. That made me laugh a bit and yell "Hey, what's wrong, afraid of a little water!?"
"Are you kidding me, it's fricken freezing! I'm not a freak of nature like you!" Oh, that was the last straw, I ran straight after her. Her eyes widened in fear of what I was gonna do and was about to run away but was stopped by me when I grabbed her, picked her up, and walked into the ocean water while she was still in my arms.
She tried kicking free but it didn't work. Eventually we were deep enough that I didn't feel she would hurt herself on any rocks so I just simply dropped her in. She screamed from the cold water hitting her skin. It was just so fun watching her try to get back at me by splashing water in my face. "What are you doing, that isn't gonna work. I'm already used to the water." I stated
"Yeah, well, so what?" That there made me laugh. Not only could she not think of a comeback, but she also puffed out her cheeks and crossed her arms. It just looked so cute. I then wrapped her in my arms and when she looked up at me in surprise I kissed her right on the lips. We stayed like that for about 10 seconds. It was amazing. When we released she looked at me in pleasure. I just then thought of something. "I understand it all so clearly now." I said. She just looked at me in confusion. "You love all this kissing, holding hands, making out, all of that, but you don't like to let others know that you do. I caught onto you." She just sat there, stunned. "I'm right aren't I?"
"Maybe, I don't really know, you tell me." She was just playing with me now, which I knew. I also knew I was correct. So I decided to go in for another kiss. And she simply leaned in for it. That was the best time at the beach in my entire life.
