A/N: Woah, it's been a while! I started this a few day ago and I just had some random inspiration while in the shower! This is a decent-lengthed chapter and I hope it meets everyone's approval. Senior year is probably the hardest and the busiest and I wish I had more time to update! I haven't had much conflict or Santana in the past chapter so I thought I'd bring that back. Also, in the next one (not this one) Sam will be back in the picture for reasons unnamed ;). Anyways, enjoy this chapter and REVIEW!
CHAPTER EIGHTEEN
Rachel POV
Rachel was exhausted from a long day of rehearsals and all she wanted to do was cuddle up with her two favorite girls. Rachel unlocked the door and could hear laughter coming from the living room.
"Well, isn't this a nice surprise. Hello Marley," Rachel said with a forced smile. As she walked into her living room, Rachel was met with the sight of Lia laughing in Marley's arms and Quinn watching them adoringly in the living room, with an empty box of pizza lying on the coffee table.
"Hey babe," Quinn said with a nervous smile. Not sure how Rachel was feeling at the fact that Marley was at their house.
"Hi Rachel," Marley said instantly releasing her hold on Magnolia. "I brought Lia a get-well present and then Quinn and Lia asked me to stay to watch movies. I hope you don't mind."
"Oh of course not, not at all. I do mind however that I wasn't properly greeted."
Magnolia's eyes widened and she crawled out of Marley's lap, "Sorry Mommy!" Lia ran into Rachel's arms and jumped up as Rachel caught her.
"It's okay baby girl, be careful, your incision is still healing."
"I know, Marley cleaned it for me and taught me all about it."
"Well, isn't that sweet," Rachel said, rather dryly while putting Magnolia back down.
"Baby, why don't you come join us?" Quinn asked, scooting away from Marley to make room.
"No, no this is you guys' time to hangout and whatnot. I'm just going to go take a bath and a nap, I've had a very long day."
"Rachel," Quinn said pleading.
"You guys enjoy yourselves," Rachel turned and went to go upstairs.
Quinn POV
Quinn and Marley looked at one another awkwardly and Lia was paying neither one any attention and continued watching Toy Story.
"Quinn, maybe I should head out," Marley said feeling the tension since Rachel arrived at the house.
"No, it's fine, really. You should stay," Quinn said, wanting to spend more time with her friend who she had been avoiding.
"No, I have some work I need to finish up anyways, but this was a lot of fun," Marley started to get off the couch.
"I'm really glad you could join us," Quinn walked Marley to the door, with Lia following closely behind.
"I'm glad you guys invited me to stay," Marley said addressing Quinn, "Bye Lia, I hope you feel better."
"Bye Marley, thanks for staying with us," Lia reached her arms up and gave Marley a big hug as she was lifted.
Once Lia was done saying goodbye to Marley she ran back into the living room so she wouldn't miss her favorite part of the movie.
"Text me and let me know you got home safely, okay?" Quinn said.
"I sure will. Bye Quinn," Marley hugged Quinn and Quinn was surprised when she hugged back hard.
The lingering hug was eventually released and Marley walked down the stairs and left. Quinn shut the door and quickly started thinking up a game plan, because she knew Rachel was probably pissed at her.
"I'm going to go check on mommy, okay? Holler if you need me," Quinn told Lia.
Lia nodded and Quinn went up the stairs.
Quinn walked into her and Rachel's room and was met with the sight of Rachel sitting on the bed in her white robe, while putting lotion on her legs. The robe just barely stopped above the woman's knees and Quinn's mouth was watering at the sight. A cold voice brought her out of her inappropriate thoughts.
"May I help you?" Rachel asked, never connecting her eyes with Quinn's.
"Hey baby, how was your day?" Quinn moved to sit behind Rachel on the bed and began massaging Rachel's shoulders.
Rachel refused to relax at Quinn's amazing touch and still gave Quinn the cold shoulder, "It was not that great."
"I'm sorry, sweetheart," Quinn started laying soft, sweet kisses on Rachel's neck and her shoulders. "You just need to calm down and relax."
"How am I supposed to relax when my girlfriend and my daughter were having a wonderful time without me with the girl who is in love with my aforementioned girlfriend."
"Rachel, all we did was watch movies for a coupled of hours. That's it. No need to worry." Quinn began lightly nipping Rachel's neck, getting Rachel to finally submit to her touch.
"I know that, I just hate that the first thing I see is all of you enjoying yourselves and you were staring at her."
"Baby, I was staring at Lia. I love seeing her laugh and I love seeing her happy."
"Really?" Rachel finally turned to look at Quinn.
"Of course. I love seeing you happy too, so what can I do to make you happy. You name it, and I'll do it."
"Just, kiss me." Rachel started to lean in and Quinn met her halfway.
Quinn gently led Rachel to lie down on her back and Quinn climbed on top of her and straddled her hips.
Rachel wrapped her arms around Quinn and grabbed Quinn's hips to start rolling them into her.
Quinn pulled away a little, "this is getting heated and I won't be able to stop."
Rachel grabbed the back of Quinn's neck and pulled her close so their lips were barely touching, "then don't."
Quinn instantly reached her hand down to untie Rachel's robe and started to help Rachel relax.
Aftersex...
Rachel and Quinn were cuddled up to one another in a post-orgasmic bliss. Quinn realized she had left Lia alone for about half an hour while she was getting reacquainted with her girlfriend.
"I'm going to go check on Lia," Quinn said while reluctantly leaving Rachel's hold.
"Wait," Rachel grabbed Quinn's wrist like her life depended on it.
"I need to know something… Has anything ever happened between you and Marley?"
"Rach, really? We just made love and now you're asking me this. Just… I can't talk about this now. We'll talk later." Quinn grabbed some pajama pants and slipped them on and went downstairs.
Quinn was met with a knocked out Magnolia on the couch. Quinn smiled and picked up the sleeping girl gently, and Lia latched her arms around Quinn's neck and snuggled into the blonde's chest.
After Quinn put Lia in her own bed she went back into her and Rachel's room to finish their earlier conversation.
"Are you ready to talk now?" Rachel said, putting down her script and looking at her girlfriend expectantly.
"Not really, but knowing you, you're not going to drop this until you get all the answers," Quinn said with an eye roll.
"I just want to know if you guys have history."
"It—It wasn't official, but we were as close as being together as any couple could be."
"Did you sleep with her?" Rachel asked, cutting to the chase.
"Why would you want to know that?"
"I'm just curious, that's all. You don't have to get upset."
"Yes, okay? We slept together after my miscarriage. I was depressed and numb and I wanted to feel something. And I just feel horrible because I led her on and used her and I think she thought there was serious hope for us and then I dumped her and a few months later I met you." Quinn was shedding tears at this point.
"Quinn—" Rachel cut herself off. She was absolutely speechless.
"Save it. Okay?" Quinn grabbed her pillow and a blanket.
"Where are you going?"
"I just need to be alone tonight and I can't handle you right now, so I'm sleeping in San's room."
"Quinn, please. I'm sorry for prying I just—I need time to process this okay?"
"Process all you need, Night." With that Quinn shut the door and went to Santana's room for the night.
Meanwhile, Rachel was very confused as to what exactly just happened. Feel rather vulnerable and needing to be cuddled, Rachel walked into Lia's room and crawled into the little girl's Queen-sized bed.
"Mommy?" Lia mumbled in her sleep.
"Yes, it's me, go back to sleep baby." Rachel snuggled up to her daughter and slept peacefully despite everything that just happened with Quinn.
A few hours later Santana walked into her room surprised that someone was already occupying her bed.
"Blondie!" She whisper-yelled, not wanting to wake anyone up.
"Whaaat?" Quinn groaned from underneath the covers.
"Why are you in my bed?"
"Because I can't deal with Rachel right now."
"That's understandable. Just scoot over." Santana crawled in the bed after the blonde scooted over.
"Are you not going to ask what happened?"
"To be honest, I don't have the energy to care. I'll ask tomorrow morning." Santana rolled over on her side to go to sleep.
"Goodnight, San and thanks for not kicking me out." Instead of a response, Quinn was met with soft snores coming from the woman next to her.
